This mission was a true breeze after suffering through the hell on earth that was Truth & Reconciliation. Keep up the great vids! It's good to see ya again Silver!
@Jack MacNeil Only 1 hour????? How..... RNG mustve been on your side.. it took me 6 days to get past the invis shield elites after the grav lift.... Ive laso'd all the other games and this shit was just ridiculous lol
@Jack MacNeil I feel your pain brother... I would offer to help but I dont think I will ever play that level again haha. What seemed to help me was throwing the nade at the group that spawns on the other side of the door. After that I start picking off all the grunts/jackals in the room. Then you have to say YOLO and run in there to grab the Invis shield. I use that to start bashing all the Gold Elites in the back and using my last 2 nades to lower their health enough to 1 shot them with the snipe or AR.
@@Canon7D365Project That mission is so utterly broken and unfair. Even for LASO. EVEN in co-op where you have some help with a second sniper, if anything it feels worse since you can't really bypass enemies the same way. We HAD to clear the area to move on to the lift. Then my partner ran almost completely out of ammo and served as distraction (I had zero ammo myself) while I went up to get the medkit and ammo for the AR and sniper. Fortunately the enemy groups were so focused on him they always ran to center near him at the mouth of the path into the area without being able to touch him and I was able to kill all of them with time and a single death. Then I had TWO ROUNDS left for the hunters that showed up and killed them both. By the time I got in the ship, I was so utterly fucked. We couldn't get past it. It's insane. So naturally I skipped it.
This video guide is awesome thank you so much! I ended up not having any rockets at the end but after jumping the Warthog off the platform and getting the overshield, I went to the left through the arch to get a checkpoint. I then just drove the Warthog right up the tunnel and jumped out next to the Pelican before hopping in barely taking any damage. Just in case anyone else is dumb with rockets!
For anyone that wants to do this mission a little easier, I did hit the button to unlock the door, but I did the ledge drop speedrun strat, grabbed the camo and was able to run up two floors and skip a bunch of fighting between the camo and the drop down.
Quick tip. If you get towards the end and want unlimited rockets to help you could gun juggle an assault rifle from the tipped over warthog on the beach towards the right.
Fun fact: I followed this guide exactly up until the point where I had to take out the invisible elites at the end. I somehow got the pacifist achievement after doing an unnecessary lap around the island heading towards the beach where you are supposed to have that first fight. I must've somehow confused the game with the checkpoint system because I killed the remaining elites and hunter with only splatter kills and the achievement activated when I hopped in the Pelican to finish the level.
the golden elite at the end doesnt go near the edge enough for me to smack him, and he just fidgets there two secodns and then lunges forward and kills me lol
This is my favorite Halo mission in the entire series. Halo Infinite should be this concept expounded upon for the entire game. Without being completely open world.
Me smacking the gold elite: “lol the stupid elite is allowing me to kill him” Elite: *backs up then lunges at me* Me: “OH NOOOO” Let’s just say I got Truth and Reconciliation flashbacks
Yup TnR is the toughest mission so it gets lots of views. The views generally go down as the series goes on due to people giving up or just becoming generally disinterested. The only exceptions are the notably more difficult missions like Library and Two Betrayals.
@@HaloCompletionist Yes, in fact I'm on the library right now, I passed Truth and Reconciliation around 6 today got up to the library in 4 hours. Imagine another 5 years and then people will have discovered new despawn glitches and all that!
For people who are having trouble getting the gold elite to stay in place on that corner, you can just step back to the edge of the middle of the platform and he will usually stand still and just shoot him.
Twice now, my game has reverted me to the beginning of the level. It only happens if I die and do the save&quit glitch while I'm making the run with the invisibility. I don't understand. I'm not messing anything up
The 11th smack to the gold elite will pop his shields. So, a quick trigger pull afterwards is a safer kill, especially if there are still enemies alive down below that can shoot up to you like I had. Also, only had 3 rockets (kept forgetting to switch weapons to safely find the 3rd) at the end and killed 1 elite and 0 hunters. Had to distract them with a grenade since I had full overshields to get to the pelican.
That infinite rocket glitch was essential for the last part. Used it on the golden elite... well, the rockets anyway, I panic fired to keep him away and wasted some ammo then ran out with the elites at the top whom I headshot with the pistol easily enough and left the whole way clear to the pelican.
The elite near the end with the sword will patrol if you let him. When he turns around, smack him good. If for some reason he isn’t patrolling, shoot down the hallway and run, he’ll come but then stop. Then he will eventually forget about you and turn around.
A tip for PC: If your mouse has buttons for higher sensitivity presets, use that against the Hunters. Just make them spin around you as you put your mouse sensitivity higher and then shoot their backs as soon as it is exposed.
That little known fact about the M6D Magnum is memtioned in the Manual. Does nobody read those things. The Halo Manuals are pieces of art in themselves and should not be ignored.
You mention a previous guide/video where you used the warthog slide to skip part of the level, could you link that video? I'm curious what it looks like on LASO, I was able to pull it off on regular legendary but I imagine it'd be trickier with the grunts exploding
The fact that the trees are wider than they look is even worse on the remastered graphics. They made the tree trunks visually smaller than the original version but kept the collision the same so it’s doubly as bad lol.
i did it different, i rammed my warthog thru the door because i wasnt able to do the slingshot to get inside and at the end of the game i killed the invisible elites, there is a spot where you can crouch and headshot the elites without them shooting at you, after i killed all of them i just got to the pelican without any issue.
When I was setting up the ar on the ramp in my first run, my rockets passed through the geometry and fell to a place where I couldn't get them. Then during my second run, the gold elite at the end wasn't being nice and standing still for me, so I just got my rockets out and shot behind it an the blast pushed it past me and over the ledge where it fell to it's death :P 4/46
Thx for the videos there really helpful :). Also how do u get the medals to pop up when u kill the enemies cause when I play I don’t get any popping up? Just wondering
I cant be the only one struggling with the Sword elite, he swings at me every single time. The gap thing simply doesnt work, he either just jumps over it or goes around, and the few times he actually stopped he started going back and forth and wont stop but he is too far to melee and eventually jumps over the gap anyway....
The sword elite smacked me a lot more then once or twice unfortunately. And those guys at the bottom started shooting up occasionally at me as well lol
Yeah those guys downstairs can be annoying though they usually leave you alone. If you get them shooting at you, you can always head back down there and light em up with the Infinite rockets.
The ammo glitch does still work. I've found if you wait for the latch on the rocket launcher to be fully opened while reloading and then you pick up the weapon on the ground, and then wait about 4 seconds before picking the rocket launcher back up it should work, or at least it has for me. I've also noticed depending on the weapon the timing for dropping the weapon whilst reloading and picking it back up differ. so basically while reloading wait about half a second or so before switching and dropping the weapon on the ground. and then the longer a weapons normal reload is, the longer it should be on the ground before picking it back up again. I hope this helps
Doing the run through since Season 8, works fine. Swap weapons shortly after reloading (even immediately). Double tapping reload may be necessary. Wait for the reload animation sounds to finish.
There is no Blind skull in the CE LASO playlist. Just Malfunction which randomly removes one HUD element every time you spawn/respawn. Also Fog is on which removes radar.
It still works. Hit reload and then a half second later swap it with the weapon on the ground. Then wait for the sound of the reload to finish before picking it up again. If you swap it too fast or too late it won't work, but theres a decent sized window of time where it'll work. Might wanna practice in a custom game or something.
If you're playing on PC, I advise that you use a controller for the infinite ammo glitch. With mouse and keyboard, I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. But oddly enough the controller worked just fine!

I had a ton of achievements pop for Halo 2 like the “Demon” and “He never gets me anything” when I hadn’t even completed the requirements
That’s hilarious
The gold elite keeps jumping the gap and chopping me then falls to his death hahaha
What was your solution?
Kinda rng, couple times you can melee and he won't attack. Watch out for grunts below though as well
Matty Z nice. I ended up just spamming him with grenades and rockets lol
That's how overpowered the pistol is in CE it can one shot a hunter XD
Its cuz the hunter weakspot is considered as a headshot and the pistol is a headshot weapon so it 1 shots no matter the huntera health
