At the beginning, After dozens of attempts, I Finally got a checkpoint, then after assassinating all 4 Ultras, got killed by the skirmishers. I Tested the Save & Quit method to see if a checkpoint was saved and it did. I Got killed again, Saved & Quit, but instead of loading the checkpoint, the level restarted. I Gave up for the day.
Warning: If you go cross the gate and drop a weapon on the grey floor things, your weapon will get stuck in the geometry and you WILL NOT be able to pick it up again
It's got just about everything we love Halo for; plenty of allies to fight alongside, both badass Spartan teammates and hapless but enthusiastic Marines. Vehicle sections to play, featuring everything except aircraft, including the trusty Warthog, speedy Ghost, and even Wraiths you can board and capture for heavy fire. And just tons of aliens to blow up with all the classic Covenant, you travel around to hit objectives and you can do the outside sections in any order you like, evoking the original level Halo. Folks we love it.
Using your guide helps a lot I just finished this level and took me an hour as some of the spawns went werid and kat ran over the one UNAC soilder with the wraith tank.
For anyone who struggled like I did with the first two Wraiths because the Elite jumped into the spare Wraith's gunner seat: I got around this problem by standing by the hatch doors where I entered the area, eliminating all the spare Grunts and keeping out of range of the Elite's gun while strafing to avoid Wraith mortar fire. Once every Grunt is dead, the Wraith will enter this state where it will continue to fire while facing you, but the tank itself won't move. You can use this opportunity to easily sidestep mortar shots while peppering the Elite gunner with plasma pistol shots. It will take a while, but as long as you stay far enough away from the gunner, it's a free kill. Pop its shields and take it out like you would normally, and proceed with pacifying the Wraith.
Your luck on the spawns on these missions is unreal, e.g going round with the gauss hog you barely get noticed but I do it and everything shoots me while a revenant rams me and blow me up like wtf Even when I went to press the button I immediately get hit in the back of the head by a revenant
broski he took out the covenant BEFORE he went after the buttons. Did u srsly hop in one spot tryna press a button while a revenant with cracked aim takes shots at u

Ugh.... I forgot that in Reach you need to use the action button to pick up health packs.... Ended up killing myself with plasma pistol splash damage lol
I did what you said and drive the hog straight to the sword base doors and before I could change course I was headed straight for a revenant that took me out one shot point blank.
You can push the warthog up to the barrier and stand underneath the front and melee upwards. It does a bit of dmg to you but in knocks it into the position you want almost every time.
The wraith can be stollen way easier and without dealing any damage. If you kill the gunner you can get on top of the wraith and simply hop in the turret. While you are in the turret, the pilot will hop out. Kill him and a fresh wraith is yours!
Lol after doing all the laso's except 2. This is kinda refreshing. I know long night of solace is gonna be shitty, but these 2 missions were quite easy following the guide. I seem to be getting either really lucky or thr fact you usually have a friendly AI with you to keep elites distracted so you can back smack them.
for future wraith stealing activities, you can jump on it and hit the hatch open with a normal melee without it damaging the whole wraith, a bunch like hijack punching it does
@@iwhbydbadbmotf8915 well it's not reliable enough compared to punching the hatch as the damage would be so minimal because of tilt and it just being legendary, especially since you only use it for a few enemy's and ghosts/revenants. you could say that it is optimising health but if you are accurate with the wraith then you dont really ever need to worry.
To get the hog over the wall, u can also use Armor Lock. Charge it up until it releases and it'll launch the hog. Make sure to get ur Sprint back when it's over the wall tho :)
Better way to get the warthog over the barrier is to drive the warthog parallel to the barrier like a 5ft away then get the armour lock and lock by the seat and hold the armour lock until it runs out and the warthog will get EMPd and fly over the barrier
