Difficulty - Legendary
Skulls - Skulls will automatically be selected when you select the Halo 3 LASO playlist. They are as follows: Black Eye, Blind, Catch, Cowbell, Famine, Fog, Grunt Birthday Party, Iron, IWHBYD, Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck.

14:20 This is something I noticed, but your Warthog had a script to have all AI get off earlier in the mission at the bridge gap. Once a vehicle is given that script, AI will no longer board that vehicle. You can notice this at the beginning of The Storm, where you start off with two Warthog Transports where AI get off it. If you drive those Warthogs, no one will ever board it. Just a little bit of trivia in the AI for ya.

Got to the last section before realizing I still had a Plasma Pistol instead of picking up the Fuel Rod. I was so defeated thinking I'd have to restart as I got a checkpoint on that final rock. Fortunately, after a few tries, I managed to BR the turret grunt and sprint for the final door throwing all my grenades at it. As soon as the last grenade left my hand I dropped the bubble and the door went down. So glad I didn't have to restart!
Same here, except I didn't have a bubble shield. So I just sat back and chopper'd everything in the area, took about 20 minutes.

Flandre's Bowler I’m in Regret in the same exact situation. I know this level isn’t as bad as I’m hyping it up to be, but Gravemind absolutely is as bad as I’m worried it is.
@@221Prohunter I did Regret LASO co-op and MCC d/ced us 4 times when we got off the last gondola. Finally got a run to work after all that. We are now experts at running Regret on LASO and hate it
Are you stuck at the grav lift for gravemind? If you go back to silvers video I left a comment on how to get down the lift since I couldn’t figure out the prison skip after I finished the prison the rest of gravemind was a regular LASO mission hopefully that helps you
39:54 and only had to save and quit a handful of times when backsmacking the chieftain with the fuel rod. Thanks silver!
This level was surprisingly fine, two of the lads took one Warthog and I had an additional one as a backup, we picked off the beam boys and arrived at the grav lift skip, which is a lifesaver, anything that lets you skip a War chieftain definitely is lol, we forgot to do the despawn, so we just took one Wraith at a time, then jacked the last one, the combined fire of Wraith mortars and two Choppers was enough to nuke everything in the last area and finally smash the brute blockade, also the regen on the pipe was something I never knew about In all my years of playing Halo 3 lmao, nice tips Silver!!
Couldn't get the trick at the end to work in co-op, but we used the choppers from a distance to finish them all off anyway. Worked pretty well. With Sputnik on, they couldn't stay in cover thanks to the crates moving so easily from the shots.

Finished Reach LASO the other day thanks to your guides! Onto Halo 3
Honestly, as much as I love your videos, with the mythic skull now in full effect the guides can only do so much. Getting splatters on the brutes is difficult, they eat up any ammo unless noob combo’d and it just feels like you get constantly tanked in 90% of situations.
has the mythic skull not always been in full effect?

can you explain this> was it glitched in the past and is now updated or something? i noticed that on crows nest. that level was brutal. it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to finally beat. that was rough

Recently completed this one. I had several comical (now, infuriating at the time) incidents with the two marines in my Hog. When fighting the Wraiths and Choppers towards the end, I found myself without shields and was looking for an opportunity to melee or hijack. Firstly, I stopped the Hog and moved to snipe the gunner of one of the Wraiths so I could get close to hijack it. I'm in a good position to snipe the gunner without being spotted but all of a sudden I find myself staring at a pair of Hog headlights barreling right at me. I barely avoid getting run over and am trying to get the marines in the Hog to move when the Wraith fires and kills all three of us.
Another attempt, we're chasing a Chopper and a fuel rod shot upends it and the Brute pilot ejects. I drive towards it and accidentally roll the Hog and all three of us are ejected. As I run towards the Brute to melee it, both Catch-happy marines throw grenades, blowing up the Brute AND me.
Finally, after some fuel rod hits kill a Wraith driver but leave the gunner alive, I get out of the hog and circle around to hijack the Wraith from behind. There are only a few feet between me and the hijack point when, in a moment straight out of Red vs Blue, here comes Privates Shithead and Fuckface to the rescue in the Hog, blazing away and killing the Wraith gunner.
I swear I could hear ranchero music blaring in this last incident. The plasma grenade I stuck to those dumbasses was more satisfying than actually finishing the level.

a brute at the very end was standing right where I needed to go and threw down his bubble shield exactly where I needed to put mine so I didn't even end up needing it lmao
At the end on the cliff, if you have any grenades, you can throw one before each time you appear over the railing to distract the brutes.
missions like this were barely designed for Legendary, let alone LASO.. Props to all who did this legitimately!
Legendary really isn’t that hard
Halo 3 LASO is one of the easier LASOs in MCC.
Looks like they either nerfed snipers or buffed brute armors. Takes way more than 3 shots to drop an elite brute.
So I had 2 issues in this mission. I THOUGHT I had the bubble shield and when I got at the end I guess I didn't have one....Number 2 when I went to the spot to trigger the end cut scene, it never happened. I thought I was doomed. So I walked my way back to the warthog that is kind of flipped over and unoccupied. My goal was to try and run through all of the brutes. As i was walking to the warthog ALONG THE EDGE OF THE HIGHWAY, for whatever reason, I triggered the end level scene and completed the level. If you're not getting the trigger to end the level, try walking along the edge back toward that warthog. Hope this helps!
24 sept 2024 - finished this mission, most strats shown work as of today with the exception of brutes needing about 6-7 beam rifle hits (can be easily done as there are 4 jackal snipers you kill in that one section, you are far enough away from the enemy at 2 of those spots to grab a "fresh" beam rifles). Also tbe deload at the end doesnt work as shown, there are still lots of choppers you have to evade and the last section where you speed past the brutes on the chopper before hopping out was very rng due to a bruteshot captain.
The very ending, ppl saying the cutscene doesnt trigger, you are incorrect. You just have to wait in the bubble shield like 4 seconds longer than what silver's run shows.
Thanks for a handy guide! Also, on my legendary speedrun I killed the beam rifle brute and still managed to get the end cutscene skip
Me and my friends got stuck for an hour on the final part. We had to backtrack to the wraith, snipe the gunner and take it, then sat for half an hour spamming mortars at the brutes
Just got reset to the beginning after failing the brute blockade numerous times. This level and Halo 3 as a whole is so much more difficult with the mythic skull.

I forgot my bubble shield so I use the chopper to eliminate all but the gunner brute, and then I grabbed the two unsc snipers on the highway and unloaded in to the gunner brute. Only took me a few tries, definitely a viable back up.
I proud for beating this mission in 12 minutes on laso. Watching the vid to see what I didn’t do
forget about the beam rifle for brutes it takes 3... rifles to do anything to them now, you better off leaving your marines chip them from far away
For me, that exact spot 20:55 with the crack didn't work so I started pushing the container further towards the shield and after a few hits the level ended.
i had a huge problem as the marines and brutes at the beginning of the wraith section did not spawn so i just ended up picking off the choppers luring them 1 by 1 and actually managed to hijack the wraith using the noob combo and stun tactic, unfortunately a 3rd wraith spawned and my own wraith did not work well on the brutes in the blockade section so i was trapped, so i just went back and grabbed my fuel rod cannon and thankfully, 2 choppers were still alive so i basically used silvers method for the last part in the end
Who knew such an inconspicuous looking crack on the ground would be so important? I always love finding out new ways of clearing missions where the normal route would be so difficult, but if you just do a few things differently, you can literally breeze past withought fighting anyone. 29/46
Figure I'd mention this: the last part about triggering the cutscene does not work for co-op. We tried at least 12 times and could not get it to work. Same order, spot, everything. Went so long the game crashed, and the second time at it still took hella long. Would recommend killing all the brutes instead. Save y'all the heartache.
I know I’m late to the party on this one but sometimes the last part where you wait and then go to the crack in the ground to end the level doesn’t work. This may just be for me and I might have done something wrong but the mission does end eventually and is prolly better than picking the brutes off one by on lol. Great vid as always tho👍🏻

My shields were down and the end. So I just took everyone out with the chopper.
You are extremely good at halo. I would like you to do a LASO run on halo CE without using glitches. IE: infinite ammo glitch, boundary glitches. Using expanded valid boundaries are still permitted. Like you do on numerous stages.
You already blew my mind to bits by how easy you make this look now I want you to really impress me as a halo god.

Mithayus Diaz tomorrow I would do tsavo highway ( looks easier because it’s just run past people ) and if he upload the storm I would do it to because after the scarab it’s just pass by brutes and kills some grunt , then do some jumps for finish the level
I just resume laso 3 today and let me tell your that hangar part is a goddamn BITCH.
Also the damn brute chieftain, he never feel like giving me invencibility.

20:00 I have no idea how you get off at this point without having 12 brutes sniping you in the ass. edit: Finally managed it after like 30 tries... really need shields for that part.
Are there any of these missions that you think would be easier or harder doing co-op instead of solo?
Anyone else get the “begins with a single step” bonus achievement for doing this? Apparently the glitches make your game think you never entered a vehicle.
Yeah it popped for me using this method as well. pretty useful info for cheesing the achievement
On Halo 3 steam, has anyone have steam achievements not pop? Still haven't received my legendary achievement even though I did it
Check your firewall and/or network adblocker (like Pi-Hole, etc) and make sure it's not blocking anything including "vortex.microsoft" or anything similar.
I don't know if anyone else got it, but I got an achievement for completing the mission without entering a vehicle.
This is because the game forgets to track that between saves and quits. There's a similar achievement for specifically the Arc that some people said they can trigger just by saving and quitting before last checkpoint.

Why do so many of these tricks never work. The Brutes are just straight up ON THE CRACK. After 20+ tries it restarted me to the beginning of the level even though I didn't die.......... that hurt, time for bed.
Edit: After re-doing it, I found that if you just go back to where the Phantom is flipped upside-down, THEN turn around and go back. You'll find that the Wraiths haven't despawned, but their drivers have. This lets you take a wraith and clear the blockade to give you breathing room. Since, if you get the checkpoint down there and that Bubble shield Trick doesn't work for you. You're shit outta luck. I thought Halo Completionist was trying NOT to have such RNG in these videos but whatever.
actually tackling this level.. 10:10 I do exactly where you do, point my radical where you shoot it, but, not event in a regular EASY i can get this stupid fuel rod to take down the barrier.
Might as well after the chieftain assasination im gonna equip the fuel rod to the marine and kill everything, seriously, what the hell why it never works for me?
Update: Now im stuck in the final part, i did the despawn and the wraiths did despawn.. But the phantoms didn't, the stupid monkeys on choppers didn't, and now im stuck between those FUCKING IDIOTS MONKEYS and a Wraith behind me...
Update 2: Finally brute force my way into the final section killing everything in my path, 1 hour worth into this stupid mission.

In what order would you put every laso game on difficulty? I know halo 2 is the hardest by far
i would actually say halo CE is the hardest due to famine recession and foreign combined. followed by halo 2, reach, 4, 3, odst
Halo 2 was the hardest, now with all the new glitches 2 and CE are similar to difficulty, i will say: Halo 2, Halo CE, Reach, 3, ODST.. Never did LASO on Halo 4
