  • The Pedego Moto is a cool looking bike that has even more cool features. It's practical, comfortable, able to take two people easily with plenty of power. I'm excited to spend some more time with this bike in the future. See it for yourself at Jim Gilbert's PowerSports here: powersports.wheelsanddeals.ca

    Bought that exact same one about two weeks ago. Brought it home and rode it the first day. Charged the battery and turned the bike back on. Got an error code 15 and have been dead in the water ever since. Waiting on new parts. Supposedly going to take another week and then need to take it back to the bike shop. Spent $4k for a one day ride and then dead for a projected total 4 weeks plus. Thanks Pedego.

      Sorry to hear about that, I’m the chief mechanic at Pedego CdM and dealers are required to test the bikes before they go out. Call corporate and tell them your issue and they are happy to help. I’ve seen the issue before and 9/10 times it’s the controller.

    Really enjoyed the video. I’m going to look at one this week.
    I did want to touch on one point in the video though. The number 2 sticker is for the class of E-Bike I believe not for the amount of riders. This bike falls under a class 2 bike when it’s limited to 20mph. This is nice to have on the bike as some trail systems are very particular about what class of bike is on the trail.
    Again great video I’m looking forward to more 👍

      You might be right about that sticker. There was something that labelled it as a 2 passenger bike, but it's possible that was in my study material, and not that sticker. I'll take another look when I see the bike again this week.

    I upgraded from the Super 73, and I have no regrets. The responsiveness, torque, suspension, and ability to operate the bike in soft sand have made a big difference. I live in a beach town and ride mostly on the beach at low tide. I had no problem maintaining 20 mph heading into a 15 mph wind on the beach. I have two cons. The seat Is hard (I know they are coming out with a memory foam seat), but I wish the option were available at the time of purchase. The second is the class 3 is pedal only after you reach 20 mph. That said, I only use it on the street, and it's fast. More videos, please!

      What model 73? I have an R and still prefer mine for city street use

      Same here, the R with snake tires. It’s a good bike. Most of my riding is on the beach, so the Moto has been a better fit plus the suspension offers a smoother ride.

    Thanks, Peter. This was very helpful! After test-riding the Moto, I just put a downpayment on a blue one. I pick it up on Tuesday!

    Nice video. I think it would work for exercise at a low cruise setting. Lots of potential. Hope it will work for a taller rider (34" inseam).

      I’m plenty comfortable on the moto. 6’3 with a 34 inseam can ride it all day, that being said it’s not the easiest to pedal and attack like on a road bike or mountain bike

      @@PeterLoweOne never see that here in the uk because ‘throttles’ aren’t allowed on e-bikes. That would make it an electric motorcycle, with different laws and ages.
      Straight e-bikes here are 250W max motors, 15.5mph limit, but kids from 14 can ride the. But they are only pedal assist.

    What’s the fastest speed on it

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Місяць тому +1

      You can pedal downhill as fast as you want. The electric assist will work until just over 20 mph in one mode, and up to 28 mph in a separate mode. Beyond those speeds, it's all up to your legs or gravity (or both!)
