    The pros are pretty much spot on for me. Only cons for myself are I wish the buttons were a little higher. I feel like my thumb has to really go low to get the Horn. And sometimes when I pedal and then use the throttle quickly after there seems to be a lag but I’ve learned to give it a sec or two then switch. The same thing when using throttle then wanting to pedal. This is my first e-bike so I’m learning as I go. It is a bit heavy but I have the space for it thankfully. As pricy as the bike was I didn’t implement the additional cost of getting gear with it such as Gloves, helmet security chain to lock up as well as bike alarm and now I’m looking into a Bike rack. There seems to be a good one on Amazon but it’s a Motorcycle rack for about $115 that I have my eye on just in case I end up picking up a Talaria in the future. As far as the bikes you should get the Talaria XXX I believe it’s Sold out but that bike looks cool! Once the 1 year warranty ends on my Rev I plan on doing a Dual battery setup and bigger motor to go faster as well as brake and suspension upgrades.

    Just pulled the trigger last night. It was between this and the lyric. I really wanted the rear suspension(for the weekends) but didn’t want to wait and pay the extra for graffiti x. Super 73 is great looking for insanely out of date with there pricing, Talaria XXX is ahead of anything relatively close in price, was the bike I wanted,but I’m using the bike for commute to work and living in CA I wanted to play it safe and have something with pedals. I don’t regret my decision.

    I have a Juiced RipRacer with throttle lag. Looking to get either Revv1, X-2 or HyperScorpion.
    Guy down the road just got a Niu Uqi e-scooter/moped/whatever they're called and we went out and I rode that for 4-5 miles. Throttle smooth as butter.
    What's the best throttle response you've encountered on a moped e-bike?

    Man I'd love to have a bike like this, I really like the headlight, brake light and turn signals, that would make it completely street legal for my needs.... I'd probably be trying to get a sidecar for it so I can take my son on rides but it seems like a great base bike and w/o a passenger I could use the sidecar for groceries. 😁
    Awesome video.... Thanks Mike. 👍
    Edit: I like the idea of a Talaria XXX on the channel but I haven't seen anything about upgrades for that model so I might go look into that... Have you looked into a different controller for the Rev 1¿? That could definitely make it faster and have a better throttle response.

    I had a hell of a time eliminating the front rotor rubbing on the brake pad....I had to add a couple of small washers to the screws that hold the calipers to the frame to get enough distance to avoid the rotor edge rubbing on the caliper. It didn't help that my Revv 1 had a front wheel that wasn't balanced very well from the factory. I work in quality control and Im very familiar with items built in China. Its too bad they couldnt have kept production here in the US.

    I actually like what you did with the headlight and turn signals. I am looking to put them on separate mounts because I hate how far the headlight sticks out. Where did you get the separate headlight mount?

    The pros is the looks for me as you said and the performance..the cons for me is there's no voltage reading,the odometer is way off and the rear wheel motor don't have a quick disconnect..you have to disconnect the motor from the controller if you need to remove the rear wheel..other than that it's a beast..

    Yes, the xXx is something I thought was a big steal for about $2900 now its about $3200 and it is steal none the less a good deal, it is a really good bike for this price with front being very liftable for wheelies and everything like that. I think the xXx is overall a great bike but in my head I never thought of comparing that very Surron like bike to this R1UP Revv 1 as I thought it didn't really make sense to compare a $2395 or $1895 respective ebike to that bike as that one is basically not really an ebike as it has pegs instead of pedals, not being street legal as a ebike a whole. But as I said that is personally me and you may not be like that. If you were to compare this bike to the xXx, obviously it is nowhere near as good with how fast the xXx goes alongside its torque, the Revv 1 doesn't even come near it thought keep in mind the Revv 1 is $850 cheaper. I would say it is your decision if your really on a budget go for the Revv 1 if you wanna go all out go for either a Sting R, Surron X or a xXx.

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  11 місяців тому +1

      Very solid comment🤘🏾. Yeah I wouldn’t comparing apples to apples, but I was more so focusing on price point. The revv1 like other electric bikes, is illegal in a lot of areas, depending on what state or country you live in. It all comes down to what class the bike is and how strict the area is. I don’t really care about any of that because I’m not trying to ride in an unsafe manner on public roads with vehicles, and what not. I’m just trying to have some fun and maybe do some jumps and wheelies. I ended up picking up the xxx right before the price hike and will be here on Friday😁

  • @Joebro200

    I spent a lot of time looking at all the E-bikes before I bought one. I wanted my moneys worth, considering the price, and I wanted something that would excite me. So I bought the Surron and got away with ripping it around town. That bike is Wildly fast and honestly I think it’s more dangerous then a motorcycle. Sense it kinda lives in a grey area and isn’t a road legal motorcycle, you’re probably not treating it like such. You’ll rip around on the sidewalk, go down bike trails ext. it’s so ridiculously fast too you’ll be going 40++ everywhere. Well, that’s what I did and I think I’m a fairly responsible person. 24 years old. I crashed that thing at 30 into a parked car and got 20 staples in my arm. It was bad. Could have bled out. I wanted to mention this because I wish I would have got the Revv 1. The Revv 1 is actually street legal so you’re not gonna be scared riding around town like on a Sur Ron (which made me personally ride more irresponsible feeling like I have to rip fast to avoid cops.) And honestly the surron is too much for the street. It’s got so much get up and go it begs you to rip it around and it’s fun as shit BUT they will get away from you and you can get way hurt on these bikes. Any E-bike for that matter, but especially the ones like the sur Ron that are more motorcycles then e bikes. This gentleman is older then I am, and with that said I’m sure he’s much more wise. It clearly wasn’t for me and I’m glad I’m alright. That’s my 2 cents on these bikes rn. I love these full throttle style bikes, but to those wanting one be mindful that the ones with crazy power like the Surron are motorcycles “hiding is sheep’s skin” the “e-bike” title makes you think it’s not a “dangerous motorcycle” but it’s a motorcycle. Idk about everyone else, but I got it for that reason. Everybody in my life said motorcycles are too dangerous, but the Surron was an e-bike, not a motorcycle so I got the OK from those who were in disapproval of motorcycles haha. It was my loophole to get a motorcycle and it was short lived. Just wanted to put that out there for those considering a sur Ron or something like the revv 1. I sold my sur Ron and am buying a revv 1 now

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  Рік тому +1

      Hey! Thanks for mentioning your experience. I definitely have the mindset that I will not be doing any thing illegal like riding on sidewalks where people have children or areas where somebody else could get hurt. Being a father of two these are things that I think about constantly. I did get rid of the revv1. I definitely can’t see myself riding on main roads with cars. I am pretty fearful of all of that since I’ve had friends that have passed away on motorcycles. Basically getting one to just have fun on some specific trails and maybe even some urban industrial Park riding. Thanks again for the time you took the right that response. Have a good one!🤘🏾⚡️

      An expensive and painful lesson. Thanks for posting this. Shame that all the criminally reckless (Sur Ron, etc.) rider channels won't see it.
      Personally, I think UA-cam should be required to take down videos that basically show UA-camrs committing crimes on their Sur Rons or bikes similar. (Here in California recklessly riding (a Sur Ron or bike similar) on busy Los Angeles streets, sidewalks, and pedestrian spaces can be charged as a misdemeanor or felony.

    I have a 700 series, and like you both like/dislike it. It looks great and fit/finish is good, better than others I've had. It hauls on flat ground and has decent gearing to get me up the hills in my neighborhood, which are STEEP. While a road-oriented bike, it handles mellow dirt trails and ruts ok. Then again, I've been riding motorcycles for 30+ years, dirt and street.Your mileage may vary as they say. Now the cons. I've replaced basically everything in the cockpit. Grips, stem, pedals are all basically garbage as supplied. Fork is totally the worst thing. Absolute junk. And Ride 1 Up doesn't stand behind their stuff at all. Swap something? Sorry. Didn't get the tires that were specifically spec'd on my bike... Sorry, that's just the way it works with us... Also, they asked for a review from me. I called a spade a spade and lo and behold, it appears nowhere on their site. What a surprise... I suggest staying away from the company.
    In your case, I'd go Surron Storm Bee. I'm loving mine, but it's definitely not flying under the radar. That said? No issues with it parked out front of my local watering hole, except having to answer questions from the youngster's. Cheers from Sandy Eggo.

    i think they either need to upgrade or make it upgradable ,to keep it relevant OR make a bigger badder version , with like a 60 VOLT SYSTEM and at least a 3000... if not 5000, watt motor you know ... like we keep modding them into anyway ..

    The throttle delay is probably the only con i've had thats the same. I personally thought this bike would have a little more power, I ride in San Francisco so some hills can be a zigzag challenge but I love everything else. I ride with my dog in my backpack and really appreciate the suspension, especially when we go off roading. Only upgrades so far is a lowprofile short bmx handlebar and the center storage. The weights an issue sometimes but I love throwing it and leaning into a corner.
    But now that i've had a taste of this bike I'm also thinking about an upgrade

      What are you considering for the upgrade, a different eBike? I'm out here in Colorado, we also have large steep hills that I'd have to use the Revv1 on.
