It's not true that they haven't had a relationship since 2016. Actually Mike and Wanya ran into each other at the New Edition tour. They were super happy to see each other therefore leading to Mike speaking to the rest of the group.
I saw a interview where they said they caught him playing basketball one day instead of being at rehearsal they said they went to the court to get him and he refused
