Dr. Dre is undeniably a cornerstone of hip-hop history. He didn't just introduce us to icons like Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and N.W.A.-he elevated them to global superstardom, shaping the very sound of an era. His work on The Chronic album is legendary, a masterpiece that revolutionized hip-hop and remains one of the greatest albums of all time. Beyond the beats and the hits, Dre’s influence runs deep in the culture, leaving us with a legacy of timeless music that generations have grown up on. Truly the greatest producer to ever do it!

Why does absolutely no story about Dr Dre ever talk more about being a DJ??????? Waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy before N.W.A. as a DJ Dre was one of the very first mixers on AM stereo 1580 KDAY in Santa Monica. He made the nation's very first midday traffic mix. It became so popular Greg Mack (KDay program director) decided to air Dr Dre's mixes on the weekends along with one other DJ, Joe Cooley. Dre became so popular off his KDAY mixes, he began to make more money from his mixtapes being sold at the Rodium Swap meet. From that money, along with gig money performing with the World Class Wreckin Cru, Dre baught his first personal drum machine, sampler & reel to reel recorder. Dre, Cube & Ren were friends before Eazy came into the picture. Dre was an amazingly talented DJ. Spinning at world on wheels, swap meets and already making beats for the world class Wreckin Cru. The sound was definitely more electro. To Me this is a huge part of Dres story that never gets told properly!
