I feel like RB's priorities are a bit messed up. PC and Xbox versions both still fairly buggy with softlocks possible not just in conquest, but also in certain campaign missions, but he's instead working on potentially PS-exclusive VR missions and failing to provide promised content updates (or even any form of communication) to the platforms already released. Just leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.
New beta update just dropped along with the Frontline announcement. It features a lot of bug fixes for the Steam version of the game. Hopefully they will make their way to Xbox as well.
I wonder if we'll get to hear more about Nic and his adventures with the beehives since this new bit is from the perspective of the Federation? And to those wondering, yes I am the reason that bit of dialogue exists.
The fact that we get to see the conflict from the Federation's perspective sounds brilliant. Perhaps we might get to hear multiple perspectives and opinions on the Federation from some of their pilots (perhaps within our squadron). Seeing the Cascadian Calamity Event from the Federation's eyes will be interesting. Maybe we'll witness dissent in the ranks among those who were disgusted by it (who knows, maybe we'll see a repeat of Pixy during Hoffnung), perhaps the views of those who viewed the horror as necessary, or even the growth of opposition to Crimson and the peacekeepers in general as a result. know I may be wishing for too much from a short campaign, but things like varied views on the peacekeepers within the Federation (maybe idolisation, inter-service rivalry, some seeing them as either heroes or elitists), and the aftermath of Presidia are all things that would be fascinating to see explored. Hell, maybe we'll see the early days of the conflict before the CIF contracted mercenaries, and the geopolitical contexts that caused the Cascadia war explored more. I wonder if the squadron will be Cascadian natives or if they'll be from Fed metropole (which I believe is based in China) I am so hyped, words cannot even describe. A man can dream... This is the first new Ace Combat story we've gotten in years. I pray Dawn Aerowar releases soon as well, I can't wait to watch it.
If you got demonetized for inactivity (have to maintain 4000 public watch hours every year and new videos every 6 months IIRC), you should be able to reapply for monetization on this channel! Maybe try posting 15-20 minute videos every few weeks on various AC-like games, like Tiny Combat Arena. You could have multiple videos in a "series" exploring different parts of a single game.

Expected yet also unexpected, ACF's return and the possibility of new content for PW. Hope to see patches as well. There are a sizably increasing number of players who want to see some bugs be squashed out, let alone see some difficulty nerfs and buffs.
Going to be completely honest I’m disappointed because as someone who bought the game on PC it’s kind of a spit in the face that other platforms aren’t getting any content. We haven’t gotten news in months. This is cool and alll but the fact it appears to be PSVR2 exclusive is just eh.

I hope there's an Ace Combat game for the Nintendo Switch. It's really frustrating that I can't enjoy the series or anything like it on the Switch. Granted, the only Ace Combat game I have is AH Legacy, and I love it. But I want a more substantial Ace Combat experience, and I don't have a PC that's powerful enough to emulate anything...
The Switch has never exactly been a platform that Namco’s been eager to support in general: whenever they release something for the Switch it is rarely a game they actually care about.

@@TornaitSuperBird The gap in hardware power between the Switch and PS5 is so massive that even with an engine like UE5, Namco does *NOT* consider it worthwhile to try targeting hardware that is MORE than an entire hardware generation behind their flagship games. Mortal Kombat 11’s Switch port is a pretty good demonstration as to why a lot of big developers have stopped targeting the Switch hardware and instead just release their budget games onto it.

@@TornaitSuperBird Project Wingman is a good example of why indie devs rarely touch the genre either: these games ask a LOT of things out of developers if you want to make them. You need to be at least competent on your engine’s technical front for such a game to even be possible due to the harsh technical needs of these types of games. The demand for a large amount of content with these games is also something you need to pay attention to as well. Your average Ace Combat game has around 18-20 missions or so: AC6 is an exception because while it has only 12, each one is quite a bit longer than normal. AC7 almost didn’t get finished because Project Aces underestimated the workload of a project like it and had to recruit *multiple* other teams within Namco just to get the game shipped out the door

So, let me get this straight: instead of delivering upon a promissed update or at least keeping the fans updated on a progress, RB decided to keep radiosilence for almost two years just to reveal that a lot of the originally announced stuff is still underway or gone for good in favour of catering for PS5 audience with an exclusive missions pack that is almost 1/3 of the original campaign worth?! If it's not a middle finger to a people who backed this game on PC all along, I don't know what it is then.
@@goosemilks Complained? No. Wished it to eventually get there? Yes. Believed it is possible? No. Glad it happened? Yes. You see, I was following the game since the Kickstarter, the fact a single completely amateur dev managed not only to finish it even behind the schedule for PC, but make it good, was already nothing short of a miracle. And considering the game still had a lot room for improvement, I did not think RB would be able to port the game anywhere by himself, let alone pass through quality control, especially on PS. And when the game had suddenly dropped on XBOX One a year later, it was a pleasant surprise. But its technical condition, combined with PC version basically being abandoned at this point (which in a hindsight were a red flags of their own), only convinced me more that PS version will never happen. I was wrong, as it turned out, but not for the reasons I might have thought - money have spoken again, and even though I was happy that the game not only making it to PS5, but will support PSVR2 as well, soon enough it became clear that it's not all that simple. Of course, far not every PC game will make it to the consoles for either technical complexity (or crudeness) or limited dev resources, complaining about it world be as dumb as shouting that PC exclusive games should never go to the other platforms. I'm all in for my favourite games being released at as much platforms as possible, because I don't want people to be locked away from something that is good for an arbitrary reasons. That's why I feel that extending a game with existing fanbase to the other platforms just to then drop an exclusive content for only one of them for no other reason than a cash grab from the platform holder is a dick move

So I've not watched this video past 1 second, mostly because I haven't actually completed PW so as to avoid spoilers. Why? Well, The really annoying part of PW is the horrid lighting effect. The story is based back on earth and the story if I'm honest wasn't captivating enough to overlook the lack of any decent lighting in the game. (personal opinion ofc) I'll come back when I have done it and also wanted to say it's nice to see you've come back with another video ACF.

What makes me mad is I’m sick of game’s getting content that is only on one platform I didn’t buy a PS5 because I decided to upgrade my PC. So I because I didn’t buy a 500 dollar machine. I get screwed out of 6 new levels. Ace Combat 7’s VR was supposed to be a 1 year thing but they never ported that over and I am now afraid this is going to be a thing as well. Dear developers and publishers don’t make exclusive content deals for people who didn’t buy the game on the right machine or be nice enough to give a discount. I don’t want to have to drop 500 dollars to get content for an awesome game.
Even as much as i wanna play this update, i just cannot bring myself to buy a whole new console for a few games i already have on PC, just to see some extra content i've been looking forward to Its really shitty and it honestly robs the developers of being able to present their work to the wider audience. PS5's are already scarce, and an even smaller playerbase has the PSVR 2 since that platform has even fewer games

You see, I was following the game since the Kickstarter, the fact a single completely amateur dev managed not only to finish it even behind the schedule for PC, but make it good, was already nothing short of a miracle. And considering the game still had a lot room for improvement, I did not think RB would be able to port the game anywhere by himself, let alone pass through quality control, especially on PS.
And when the game had suddenly dropped on XBOX One a year later, it was a pleasant surprise. But its technical condition, combined with PC version basically being abandoned at this point (which in a hindsight were a red flags of their own), only convinced me more that PS version will never happen. I was wrong, as it turned out, but not for the reasons I might have thought - money have spoken again, and even though I was happy that the game not only making it to PS5, but will support PSVR2 as well, soon enough it became clear that it's not all that simple.
Of course, far not every PC game will make it to the consoles for either technical complexity (or crudeness) or limited dev resources, complaining about it world be as dumb as shouting that PC exclusive games should never go to the other platforms. I'm all in for my favourite games being released at as much platforms as possible, because I don't want people to be locked away from something that is good for an arbitrary reasons. That's why I feel that extending a game with existing fanbase to the other platforms just to then drop an exclusive content for only one of them for no other reason than a cash grab from the platform holder is a dick move
I’m Xbox so I can’t play it but I hope for the best of luck to the team at project wingman there game is probably the saddest game I have ever played and will always stick with me I mean what other game have you player where you could’ve stop the apocalypse and your left all alone

So I've not watched this video past 1 second, mostly because I haven't actually completed PW so as to avoid spoilers.
Why? Well, The really annoying part of PW is the horrid lighting effect. The story is based back on earth and the story if I'm honest wasn't captivating enough to overlook the lack of any decent lighting in the game. (personal opinion ofc)

What makes me mad is I’m sick of game’s getting content that is only on one platform I didn’t buy a PS5 because I decided to upgrade my PC. So I because I didn’t buy a 500 dollar machine. I get screwed out of 6 new levels. Ace Combat 7’s VR was supposed to be a 1 year thing but they never ported that over and I am now afraid this is going to be a thing as well. Dear developers and publishers don’t make exclusive content deals for people who didn’t buy the game on the right machine or be nice enough to give a discount. I don’t want to have to drop 500 dollars to get content for an awesome game.
Even as much as i wanna play this update, i just cannot bring myself to buy a whole new console for a few games i already have on PC, just to see some extra content i've been looking forward to
Its really shitty and it honestly robs the developers of being able to present their work to the wider audience. PS5's are already scarce, and an even smaller playerbase has the PSVR 2 since that platform has even fewer games

1. Fly an ADF-11F (An F-35 flying casually across the map, followed by an ADF-11F doing a flyby of the F-35 before suddenly crashing in a random spot)
2. Think you can outsmart a pro co-op player (An X-02S Strike Wyvern being blown up by a Su-47 in Mimic Squadron livery)
3. Not choosing your special weapons carefully (The 5th Gen Fighter from the Top Gun DLC being outfitted with PLSL)
4. Glitches (F-14D Tomcat with all textures removed)
5. @GLITCH (Closeup of an ADFX-01 Morgan in flight with a Murder Drones themed livery)
6. Join a multiplayer server (The same scene as number 5 but zoomed out, revealing the play area being flooded with Su-34s firing QAAMs everywhere, four of them going directly after the ADFX-01)
7. Forget to pay Avril Mead (The Queen Custom mod being applied to an F-4 Phantom right before the game suddenly crashes)
8. Be traumatized by FNAF (Any scene with Captain Torres)
9. Start up the wrong game (Project Wingman briefing, but with AC7 music)
10. Steal Uzi Doorman's private fighter jet (An ADF-01 FALKEN taking off, then immediately shot down by an ADF-11F)
11. Piss off Z.O.E (The "La La La" sequence from the mission that I forgot its name)
12. Be THAT guy (An F-22 Raptor colored after Verosika Mayday)
13. Attempt to spell out Mihaly's full name (A skeleton sitting on a chair)
14. Be sponsored by Red Bull (The tunnel run from the final mission, but with the Darkstar)
15. Stand still in Ace Combat (AFKing until your plane crashes into the space elevator)
16. Gloinks (An ADFX-02 being zerg rushed by a boatload of MQ-101s)
17. ADA-01B ADLER shenanigans (Said plane spamming MPBMs during a co-op mission)
18. The Gloink Queen (Any scene with the Arsenal Bird)
19. Look for an exit door within The Amazing Digital Circus (A MiG-35 with a TADC themed livery flying out of bounds during Cape Rainy)
20. Peer pressure (The same scene as above but also zoomed out, revealing an entire fleet of MiGs colored after each of the circus performers. Except Caine and Bubble, who are both ADF-11Fs in Metallic Red (Caine) and Strider (Bubble) skins respectively)
There are about 280 slots left, so any ideas to fill up those slots would be greatly appreciated!

21. Be in the way of an XFA-33 owner (The XFA-33 chasing down an unlucky F-23 Black Widow II)
23. The Cellar (Last Hope but the buildings and streets have no textures, making them pitch black)

25. Attempt to KSP (A simple Mk2 drone build)
26. Hepatitus (AWACS Longcaster self-destructing after hearing that Trigger and Rosa are gonna get married)
27. Get backed by a team of bots (First an F/A 18E and a Su-37 shoot each other down, then the F/A 18E respawns with a whole bunch of other F/A 18Es with one of them seemingly watching a Cougar MacDowall comic dub)
28. Get backed by a team of randoms (The Su-37 from earlier respawning with a lot of other aircraft of various types screaming at each other like a CoD lobby)
29. Be part of an overused joke (Huxian's voice replaced with that of Pomni)
30. Admin abuse (A Darkstar flying around spamming every one of their weapons, never running out)

46. Stand still while moving very fast (A Darkstar getting sliced in half by an ADF-11F's TLS...)
47. Hazbin Hotel Death Number Two (...and an *Angel Dust* Mirage 2000 getting lasered by that same TLS at the same time)

49. Helios (Explosions everywhere on Mission 19)
