Just wanted to add that body changes are NORMAL and part of pregnancy. So don't beat yourself up if your body changes so much that you are not able to fit your normal clothes through pregnancy - or after even. We all have different reactions to the pregnancy, and I think it is important that we normalize the changes it can bring with it and the fact that we might need to buy new clothes because of it

Yes to the leggings and YES to normalizing changing bodies - they are always beautiful all the time❤️

Regarding shoes I would say wearing comfortable shoes with arch support will help. At least it did for me. This is not the time to punish yourself with low quality ballerinas or super flat shoes. And rest your feet in the evening and afternoon. I added a small stool under my desk at work, so I could keep them slightly elevated. Compression socks also helps

I've had a baby and I think those tops are a super smart investment! The design is genius and they look so comfortable. You look so beautiful and calm, as always ❤️ As far as staying in shape, I definitely recommend following Amy post baby as well. My son is two years old now and I am loving Sydney Cummings, but I took it easy the first year and it was a very good decision.

I had a baby in 2019 and I actually was a little too minimalist with my maternity wardrobe. I was surprised how many months after I gave birth that I was still using my maternity wardrobe. Even as your body grows and shrinks, it doesn't usually go back exactly to how it was before childbirth and that's okay. I also severely underestimated the need to buy larger underwear to accommodate my widening hips. I stretched out a lot of stuff and needed to buy replacements anyway. Ask to borrow things from other mamas before determining what holes you need to fill! A couple detachable camis provided me coverage when I lifted my shirt and make the clothes I already had more nursing friendly. 😬 For shoes, I was able to get by with my slip on loafers or booties I already had. Many women can keep swelling to a minimum by following the brewer diet and walking a lot.

Absolutely! I should have invested in more too… I’d be happy to buy jeans if I expected to wear them once a week for two years. Why not a flattering shirt or dress!

Borrowing from a friend can also work so well during pregnancy too. A good friend of mine is currently pregnant and she's quite a bit smaller than I am so I loaned her a bunch of my clothes to get her through her pregnancy so she won't have to buy too much. Especially with winter coats and stuff like that shes just borrowing one of mine.

Being pregnant during summer on Portugal i made the decision to buy only dresses. So i have right now 6 dresses i wear every day. They are made of cotton, fresh and there is no need to iron them.

As a plus sized woman whose weight tends to fluctuate I can relate to the fact that the fashion industry does not include me for the most part. I am very tall also so tend to wear men's shirts. I try to find pre-loved in thrift stores and have worn too short pants all my life. Everything is a capri😊.

Thanks for this video. Will you show a few month after the birth the first baby cloths you really need? That would be helpful.. There are so many long lists online..

You are every bit as chic pregnant, if not more ❤ if I can contribute a little tip, learned during my first pregnancy, is that you don't know a whole lot about your baby and those first days, weeks, months, including nursing. For instance, I had bought a few baby clothes - fortunately very few - in the smallest size, the usual newborn size. But then my baby was born bigger, and I had to size up from the get go. Similarly, I had every intention on nursing my child. Except that I wasn't able to for more than a month and she was bottle fed, which doesn't require any nursing tops. See where i'm going with this 😉 There's always time to get more stuff if and when you need it, trust me ! Expecting a first, it's so exciting, and you want to do well, be prepared... but you future mamas out there have it together, you are amazing, and you will do splendidly anyways ! Hope it all goes well for you, Signe ! Hugs from Belgium

I’m so upset that all the second-hand and sustainable jeans I could find was skinny and I simply hate skinny jeans and would never wear them, pregnant or not. Why is it so hard to find a pair of wearable Levi’s 501 style jeans for pregnacy? I even thought about altering my beloved vintage ones but I was so afraid of ruining a unique piece of clothing from another era

Can't believe this mentioned a rubber band but not a Bella band! (or its generic equivalent - not sure what else you call it.) Besides letting me wear my regular pre-pregnancy pants well into my seventh month, it actually feels good...and smooths you out, if that's a thing you care about - hides the belly button! And you can get it for under $10. Well worth the investment...instead of slicing up my regular pants, or investing in maternity pants, I just went with existing pants.
(btw: it's worth mentioning that maternity jeans do come in the under-the-belly pocket replacement style you did at home - they're not ALL over the belly. My only pants purchase was a secondhand version of the under-the-belly style.)

The Lake District is lovely. The cotswolds are very pretty too. I live in a very quaint village in Berkshire quite near to Highclere castle. It’s where Downton Abbey was filmed if you have seen it on tv.
Nice to have a chat. Might see you on here again. Take care

Don’t worry about white clothes and stains- for the first few months those stains will be milk anyway, so you’re actually better off with white/cream than with dark colours!
