The SSBC Team has decided to release a preview of the v0.9 demo for people to play around with while we get finished with the complete version!
Included within the demo, which is built on a completely revamped engine, are all characters from v0.8.4, as well as the 8 characters added in the Apex demo (Ashley, Ganondorf, R.O.B., Snivy, Pichu, Petey Piranha, Ice Climbers, and Phoenix Wright) and a bunch of stages to play on. This version also has 6 player support (controllers are advised)!

Side note, anyone else have issues with fraps and the Demo? For some reason the game refuses to load 3D Models when I have fraps open, not sure why

Awesome! It will be awesome on December 2013 when the full version of 0.9 comes out with Online Classic mode.
So much better than the last version. really enjoying it, you should make updates though, so we dont have to download the entire game everytime you guys update it. But on another note, fighting mechanics seem alot less chaotic, very smooth. and the new characters are cool, but we should have to unlock them, not just start out with them like in V0.8.4. Anyway its an awsome game so far. even without classic mode yet... cant wait to see V0.9

I tried this for a few minutes about a year ago, and don't remember if I was super pleased or not. I'll download it again right now. Everyone wants all of the characters to be added, which is great, but all that I really want is to be able to disable joystick tap jumping.

I'm a big fan of this game and I spent hours with my friends playing. I look forward to this new version comes out.

A great major update! Kinda a little slow when in 6 player matches but its still great as that cause it runs smoothly. Pheonix Wright and Snivy are my top 2 and I can't seem to stop playing with them. Seriously, Wright was a huge surprising seeing making the game and he's so fun to play with.
if there was a wishlist for me so far on this, Neku from The World Ends With You should definitely try to make it here. It rivals out greatly with Smash Flash 2 since they have Sora. Plus he fits the roster more here and he got a creative move set to work with on his 100s of pins. Traditional wise, I love to see Bowser Jr (Alternate: Shadow Mario) make an appearance.
Stage wise, I would love to brawl down on Metal Mario's stage from the N64 smash brothers. Its just me though, great work on the game! Can't wait for full release, time to get back on playing the demo.:)

Does this work on win xp since i tried it and it only stays stuck after choosing a character or after choosing all random ones the game plays i can hear them fighting but i am still at the loading screen.Can't upgrade my windows to any higher since i would need a new pc for that.
Edit:Tried playing version 0.8.4 and it works guess i am gonna waste my time with that one
I like the project but I just have one question. Why add Goku? I know it's your game and all but if I was making a fan game I'd stay traditional to the series.

Game is great! however, can you switch phoenix wright's ultimate to turnabout mode from UMVC3? I loved how it was is that, you can still have the same ultimate, just have it that when it's activated that it takes up the rest of turnabout mode. just a suggestion, please do it, thanks.

How do I play the game? I downloaded both files and put them into a folder. Im not really good with this stuff so some help would really be appreciated!
I'm talking about from a competitive stand point which was what the topic was before it got switched around.
Imo the roster is ok. Other than weegee and goku I don't have a problem with it. Not every character is a clone of each other and they have different movesets. Ashley and Petey are perfect example of a lovely moveset. everything makes sense. other character have a few notable things but for the most part characters play as they should aand I enjoy playing as them but of course I'm one-

I knew that after I wrote the first part I just wanted to say I realized that haha. Well we have quite a bit of Wtf characters which makes people want to play the game or try it out. kinda like how WFT is in smash 4. 99.1% don't want her in but I actually look forward to it.

Plus, More character means more fun, and the 6-Player feature makes it even more fun, and I liked how they made the cpu's difficult to make a challenge, you can even edit the stages, music and others. But in SSF2, i think it's possible, UNLESS you have an adobe software to edit the game. But SSF2 is missing in editing the stages and doesn't have new modes for now, meanwhile Crusade has a lot of characters and you can edit stages and has more modes than SSF2. Overall, Both games are good

But as far as the characters go... they seem to be pretty balanced. Compared to .8.4 it's an Improvement. Also I really suggest to give practicing a shot or testing out things... not trying to offend or anything but it does kinda seem like you just saying something is unbalanced just because. Do you have any vids of you playing the game or anything? I just want to see what level of play your at before we continue.

Actually that's what I mean by balanced... you can pick any character in this game and win with them. Of course some may need more practice with some characters more than others. If you don't believe me you should check out my channel to see stuff done with random characters
