i dont know... i played crusade and flash 2 and i prefer flash 2, crusade have a lot of mindless unnecessary charecters, in flash 2 thare are intresting charecter (no goku or naruto or ichigo), and the charecter models of crusade are Tiny as fuck, and if SO HARD TO configure the controls, i prefer Flash 2 because y more easy to get into it (but a level 1 computer on SSF2 is like a level 5 Cpu)
You can change the size (and other things) of specific characters in matches. That's why some characters look really small in some matches like on the Temple stage.

Fox and Falco have trouble doing their specials. If they do their special under a platform, they get stuck once they ascend upwards. I just wanted to point out this glitch in case you haven't come across it yet.

As a balancer I can say they're pretty well resized. It's noticeable.
