Great video! It was very informative and straight to the point. I was on the carnival elation on July 10-15th 2023. This was my first time on the elations and cruising with carnival. I usually cruise on Royal Caribbean. We had a family reunion cruise this year. I really like the elation it was a fun ship. Guys burgers and Blue Iguana were really good. The buffet had pretty good options to me. The only thing I really didn't care for was this quinoa and yogurt bread and the jerk pork. For elegant night we ate in the Inspiration dining room. I had the spaghetti Carbonara and a Caesar salad. That dish was pretty good I wish they would have put mushrooms or spinach in the carbonara. It was still a pretty good meal. For dessert, I had the creme brulee which was pretty good. The only show we went to was the Heart and Soul Motown show. That show was pretty good. The lead female and male singer were pretty good singers and the cast put on a good show. The limelight lounge was pretty fun, and we enjoyed the Karaoke performers. The ports we went to were Nassau and Princess Cays. Both ports were fun, and we had a lot to do. In Nassau we went on a tour of Nassau with one of the local tour guides. We went to Atlantis and saw a lot of other stuff too. All in all, it was a good time.
We have cruised before but this is the 1st time I'm taking my kids. We wanted to start on a smaller ship for them so this was super helpful! Thank you so much
Hello, I have a question or three, if anyone can help out. My mom and I will be taking the Elation out of Jacksonville coming up last week of October (Halloween), 5 day cruise. our cabin is on deck 7 (Empress) port side-AFT (more to the mid-back of the ship). Will they assign a dinning room or do we choose between the imagination or inspiration? If we choose, which is the best? Also, does anyone from a recent 5-day Nassau/Princess Cay (Mon sail-Sat. return) cruise know when the formal dinning night will be? Also, any other great tips you can give would be great. Oh...we have the drink package....are their any recommendations for the Alchemy bar? Thanks
There are not many cruise ships like this one. Certainly not a pleasure palace like many of the 100,000+ ton ships. But you get something else, I think, the feeling of being on a ship. I have absolutely nothing against Oasis, Breakaway, Seaside and similar ships of this size. I am a Vision class & Carnival Fantasy class human. Thanks for a very good review. / Adam
We've been on the Elation five time. It's my wife's favorite ship.

The Elation had a
You don't say! Literally
You don’t make this cruise sound good at all. I wanna cancel my trip 😂
All these small, old Carnival ships look like the casino resorts from the 1980’s. No thanks
