    Man you made that look so easy! I wish I had seen this before attempting to put Heritage bars on my Road King Special. I ended up taking it to Harley and they charged $300. Good video

      Never take your bike to a Harley shop. Their rates are the worst. If it's something you have the tools for and not super complicated I'd just do it yourself. There's plenty of other good shops that work on Harleys and don't rape you on labor rates as well

    Spraying a little silicone lube in the bars can help as well.

    What gauge are the individual wires? I welded up some Z-bars, and I want to do a trial run before I start unhooking my stock wires.

    What switches did you buy for this? The hand controls I worked with were entirely different colors than the factory harness

    What size are the little connectors that go into the plug that the wires connect to where can I find them

    • @ClutchUpGarage
      @ClutchUpGarage  6 місяців тому

      Mx150 is the size. Can find batches of the male and female connectors on Amazon! A good wire crimper helps too. In this video I didn’t have my nice crimper yet but still made it work

    Should’ve fed the wiring through the hole in the top triple tree for a neater finish

    to install risers and bars shop want $1100 up to $1400 ??? harley davidson wants $1900 another shop $1000 ??? WOW ... come on its a 2004 sportster... 6'' risers... crazy prices... so sad these shops... why so much ???

      I know brother it’s pretty crazy. I actually opened my own small shop last month to help people out. I try to be fair as possible. If you’re close to WV I can help you! Most shops charge minimum 6 hours up to 10+ to do bars. I can see that on baggers but small bikes that’s insane. Hope my video helps you!

    First off take a hammer and smash the connector that Harley Davidson uses and just solder it together

  • @viciouscycles88

    Stagger your wire cuts next time.

    • @ClutchUpGarage
      @ClutchUpGarage  3 місяці тому +1

      Why would you stagger them when replacing the pins to plug them directly into the connector the right way and not splicing wires to each other?

    • @viciouscycles88
      @viciouscycles88 3 місяці тому +1

      @@ClutchUpGarage I see. Missed the part where you was plugging them into the connector. I just seen the cut off wires in the plug.
