A longer video for an EPIC DAY! First time exploring the Ridley Creek in Media, PA...and check this out, fellas -- I ended the day with *eleven* different Species of fish! That includes 2 new Species as well -- 187 and 188. :) A great find, eh?! Anyways...don't forget to participate in the Give-Away, and as always, many thanks for all your love and support! Tight lines and FISH ON!
hi Leo long time no watch. been plying with a hurricane and flooding St. Johns river. had mullet in the back yard. watching you makes life normal again. thank you.
That scene of you getting schooled by the darters is now the best fishing scene on youtube. This is why I love your channel man. You absolutely owned that creek. Between this and your last creek video, I think the moral of the story is explore, explore, explore. even after almost 40 minutes I was sad to see this one come to an end. What an amazing video, day and fishermen.
one of my fav videos. very productive. and entertaining. i'm From Romania. and i live 5 minutes walk from Danube River. biggest in europe. and when i use to go fishing. in one day. i would end up same like u. with atleast 7 diferent spieces of fish. great place to go visit. when you got time.
I like the fact that you quickly admire the fish, then return it to the water. Later you show a still shot of the fish. The quicker back to the water a fish goes means a higher chance of survival
those first bass you thought were probably spotted bass definitely were. they had the tooth patch, the mouth doesn't go past the eye, and the juvenile spotted bass have orange tails, which yours also did have.
Caught two trout in that dam at the end of your video just this past Saturday September 16th. Oh and we found a way to get to that dam by climbing down the bridge using a tree as support but other than that you either need to use waders or have access to one of those locations that are private property. Thanks for showing this location I always love exploring all the creeks around Philly.
Do you know how to do fish cpr leo? It would definitely help you with reviving fish so they dont go belly up on you. And this is a tip for everyone who doesn't already know: grab the fish by the tail and Move the fish in an S-shaped pattern to run water through its gills. I've have 100% success rate of reviving with 8 years of fishing
Hey Leo nice video ! I know current was not a big issue when you where wading but you should always wade upstream , so that if you wade into too deep of a hole the current takes you back out of it .
Hey Leo I love your channel, you inspire me everyday and I've learned so much from you👌🏻 Here are all the species you caught on this amazing day: 1- Largemouth bass 2- Redbreast sunfish 3- Pumpkinseed 4- Swallowtail shiner 5- Spottail shiner 6- Tessellated darter 7- Fallfish 8- Common shiner 9- Comely shiner 10- Cutlips minnow 11- Bluegill
I just got to thank you Leo! I havent fished in 4 years since I moved to Seattle. Went from fisherman to wisherman... Since watching your vids, I got my poles and tackle out of the closet, cleaned em up and took them out to my friends boat at the local marina. Had to use a cheap ass rod with my Pfleuger because my good ones need repair but i wasnt worried about catching a monster anyways. First freakin cast I had a 10 inch Pacific Sanddab. Didn't keep it, don't eat out of the Puget Sound in town here. It released nice I was just wetting lines for fun and i got a new species for me. I never caught a flatfish before! Got skunked after that tho. Lol. Only fished for an hour cause I needed to buy more bait, hooks and fix my good rods. Saw 10 or more different species of microfish I'm going after next time too. Going to a local lake for freshwater tommorow to check it out too. Its cool having salt and fresh within minutes of where i live. Literally ten minutes one direction and five the other. I cant belive I haven't gone till now. You inspired me more than any other youtuber...i yelled "fish on!" in your accent as a tribute as it was happening. Haha..my wife thought I was crazy.
very much enjoyed this video....being a fellow fisherman, I know the joys and frustrations, and yes, productive fishing takes lots of work and patience.....
Leo, I like all of your videos, but this one is just GREAT!!! I will watch this one AGAIN! Your excitement about the different species you catch makes me smile. Great video. I've been fishing Ridley Creek for a while. Upstream from where your video ended (other side of the bridge and beyond), you can also find very large common carp, rock bass, and bigger largemouth bass. I've pulled two or three largemouth bass that were 15-16", 2lbs from there.
