Very good job, extremely well done. My brother in law has been 4 years so far doing something similar and still not finished. One or two comments: why do you want wood on the ceiling? We had that in our houses in the 1970s. (Could use carpet adhesive spray and stick up some headlining fabric in minutes). Secondly you have made all your own kitchen cabinets but why not just buy them from B&Q? All those little tidy ideas and even the pull out bed are available off the shelf from Ikea. You might have to modify them slightly but they will work perfectly for years.
Just like the optics from wood on the ceiling and its quite cheap.
Dont know what B&Q is but we have IKEA in my homecountry :)
Ikea furniture is made of chipboard. This type of wood has very poor properties when exposed to the weather. We have long, wet winters here and moisture is always an issue. In addition, it is not suitable for structural timber construction and does not meet the requirements in my country to obtain a certificate for motorhome registration later on.
We have way to many f** rules here in Germany

Sehr schönes Video, und tolles Ergebnis. Ich denke die 3000€ können funktionieren, sind aber arg knapp bemessen. Holzpreise sind sehr Variabel, und die Preise auf der HP bekommst du hier niemals, selbst mit Connections zum Holzhandel schwierig. Und auch solche Sachen wie Solarpanel, Kühlschrank etc pp sind häufig Glücksfälle und viel Recherche und kein spontaner Einfall.
Aber alles in allem tolles Projekt. Für uns 3, wäre es etwas zu klein denke ich

Aus welcher Gegend kommst Du denn? Umkreis Berlin ist auch alternativ noch das Holzfachzentrum Potsdam zu finden. Hier kostet 15mm/Sperrholz sogar nur 15/qm.
Klar kostet es einiges an Recherche um herauszufinden wo man an günstige aber gute Elektronik kommt, wäre es einfach würde es jeder machen :)

That van must weigh tons . I'm doing everything I can to reduce weight in my build
@@AustenGoldsmithPhotography the van weight 2,5tons with full fuel and water tank + 1 driver. Its maximum capacity is 3,5t
I think the same when they use wood and metal and all that. Like more weight means more gas burning.

Nice build 👍🏾 Wondering why you didn't put in extra insulation? Or are you planning to use it mainly in summer?
The type of insulation i use there is expensive. I use my own campervan 365days a year and have the same amount of insulation and it works fine. Most important is to have a good diesel heater. The big windows in the front makes you loose so much energy anyways :)

Praktische Fragen:
Ist der als Sommercamper oder ganzjährig gedacht? Ich will nur für Sommernutzung ausbauen, macht ja einen großen Unterschied bei der Isolierung.
Hast Du die Solarpaneele nur aufgeklebt? Nicht verschraubt? Ich traue mich das nicht, habe Angst es könnte beim TÜV bemängelt werden ... weiss aber nicht, ob das zutrifft.
Die Platten sind aufgeklebt, hierzu aber den passenden Montagekleber von Sikaflex oder ähnlich verwenden. Es kann durchaus sein das der Tüv-Prüfer verlangt die Paneele noch anzuschrauben, bei meinem war dies nicht der Fall.
Ist als Ganzjahrecamper gedacht, die Standheizung wurde bereits nachgerüstet.
Super Video von einem tollen Ausbau. Das spornt an!!!
Wie schafft man es, dass die Nietmuttern genau dort sitzen wo man später im Holz das Loch für die Schraube bohrt?

Wenn Du die Nietmuttern für eine Reihe/Latte gesetzt hast, mal diese mit einem Edding oder Textmarker an und drück die Latte dagegen. Bei den ersten malen ist es hilfreich noch zwei helfende Hände zu haben :)

Isolation and zero moisture blocking? Don’t you think you will get moisture issues inside the panels with mold as a result?
Hoi! The insulation i used is a Closed-cell elastomeric foam insulation called Armaflex. Never had any problems with moisture/mold inside in the last couple years. But still, ventilation is the key :)

Very nice work. I’m having a hard time believing the cost for everything was around $3K. The electrical, hardware and various wood components seem to be worth than that. Maybe you had some build materials lying around.

und wo ist der festverbaute Kocher ? Bekommt man doch keine Camper Zulassung ohne oder ?
Der Kocher ist auf der Platte verschraubt und somit fest verbaut. Muss im ausgeklappten Zustand aber außerhalb des Fahrzeugs stehen. Entspricht dem aktuellen TüV Merkblatt für Wohnmobile

Hello Anna, thank you for your comment. There was no need for a toilet at the moment. However, a Boxio or almost any other small one would fit under the seat bench on the passenger side. It would also be easy to reach with a full extension

Hey, gute 4 Wochen waren es.
You cannot rely on the squidgy stuff to hold those floor battens for many years with all the shaking a van does, you needed to put a few screws in, like you did at the top.
Insulation was done at a minimum, wouldn't have cost much to massively bump that up.
For the rest, well done.
@mira73 i guess you have no idea of Sikaflex -252, i had to remove a floor ones with only a little bits of sika and it tooked me 2 days. The insulation is quite expensive with 20€/sqm in 19mm thickness and it gets quite heavy. Its always a compromise with the windows in the front. Better get a good heater :)

Für unter 15 T gibt's meist Schrott.
@harryszwergstatt2879 Der Renault hat mit ein paar kleinen Reparaturen 8500€ gekostet. Wobei ich hier @renekleppel8569 schon zustimmen muss, das es „meist“ wirklich sehr schlechte Fahrzeuge sind. Man braucht schon gute Nerven und Geduld bis
man im unteren Preissegment ein gutes Fahrzeug gefunden hat. Oft sind diese bereits nach unter einem Tag verkauft und nicht mehr Inseriert.
