Older women should take two scoops because you do need more collagen as you age. Also for my pregnant ladies, take this while pregnant. I took this with my son and had barely any stretch marks. It helps with skin elasticity.
I love Vital Collagen. Been using it for a year. It definitely helps with nails and joint support. It takes awhile before you see it in your skin. Slow and steady is the race
I have been taking the Vital and it's been 6 months and I have to say there is a change in my hair! I do have a autoimmune issue, however my doctor gave me the go ahead and I am so happy I discovered this. I do have other products that I use as well. I found what worked for me.
I have hyperthyroidism (Grave's Disease) and I take Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. When you have hypothyroidism (ex. Hashimoto's Disease) the warning specifically is to avoid brands with tryptophan as tryptophan can make you tired. I hope this distinction helps. As always, consult your endocrinologist when starting a new supplement or medication.
In Google it says it doesn't have. "Vital Proteins contain no tryptophan and are high in glycine. Vital Proteins Collagen powder includes 20 g of collagen and 18 g of protein in every 2-scoop serving"
The one ended up with at the end, is the brand we have taken and still take for 3 yrs. We fine that it's lighter in coffee, stronger nail, helps with our joints and great for skin. We take every morning in our coffee, one scoop! Thnx for video.
I started using collagen peptides around 4 years ago when I went on a medication that caused my hair to get thinner. My hair is thicker and grows like crazy, also my nails grow like crazy but they are not any thicker than they were before I started it. I have Dachshunds and they are very well known for back and joint problems because they are so long. I've been giving it to my dogs and they are 15 years old and the vet is amazed that they do not have joint or back problems. For my acid reflux, I drink a couple swallows of kefir daily and I've gone from drinking almost a whole bottle of Myanta a week to not needing it at all. I assume it's the probiotics?
I have Hashimoto’s and there is no reason to not use a beef product. If you can eat beef you will be fine with collagen. I’ve used it for months with no problem.
I use Marine Collagen from Piping Rock. It's much cheaper than ,I believe, any other collagen product. I like it and think it's competitive with the others.
Just got my first container of collagen peptides. So glad I ran across your video. I’m 34yrs old and my joints do hurt so I hope I do see some relief 😊 thank you for the update
Thanks for your support. With consistent of taking the collagen peptides I started feeling the difference within 3 weeks. I feel like my joints was the first place I felt relief🥰
Good evening. This is a follow up on my previous comment in regards to the collagen protein powder causing feelings of depression. As I had mentioned, I had stopped it when I noted myself feeling very down, as I had come across info which specified it could have that effect. I waited a few weeks prior to starting up again and noted I was feeling more my normal. I have since, restarted the collagen and have began feeling depressed to the point of crying without cause...this within a matter of two weeks. It seems I am highly sensitive to it. The info I found was that it lowered tryptophan in the system which in effect lowers seratonin, therefore causing symptoms of irritability, anxiety and depression. I felt it important to share this info as it is possible someone else may be having a similar response. I am a nurse and couldn't keep this info to myself. God bless all. Stay well. Stay safe! 🙏💕🕊
I like the black one better I ordered the 1 in the bluish color recently it bothered my stomach it didn't mix as well for me either so I like the first one you showed better when I used it.
I have recently lost about 85 pounds, I am only 5 ft tall.... I have been taking supplements, vitamin c and other stuff to try to minimize the loose skin.... I think I look amazing in every way but my neck is flabby... I am going to see if the collagen will help with my neck.... I have been topically applying tretinoin and creams ... Maybe adding collagen will help!!
Congratulations on the weight loss! That’s amazing 🥰 as far as the loose skin collagen can help but it won’t tighten it as much as you may like… however I say give it a try and keep using the topical creams as well🥰
Hi! Fasting( going into autophagy) is best when losing weight to prevent loose skin. The collagen helps with elasticity, so helps prevent strength marks/wrinkles. Please consult your physician before fasting.
I just started using Oil of Olay Collagen, Firming & Hydrating body lotion. People that lost a lot of weight (FB group I'm on) recommend it. I'm more concerned about my neck and chin. I used retinol on my neck a long time ago and it seemed to make it worse. I used too much, not knowing to start off slow. It irritated and made my skin weak. It's never been the same. As for my double chin, I've had it, even when I was skinny. Now that I'm older and lost the weight I gained from covid, it sags ☹️. It's only been 3 days I started using the lotion, morning and night.
I, would say; don't waste money on "topical" collagen products... They won't do a thing, as there is not enough collagen to make any affects. Niacinamide products, on the other hand; should be applying that topical!
The only thing to be wary of is that it may cause depression symptoms. I know this because after taking it for a while I started to notice I was feeling that way and I'd never had those feelings before. I researched it and found an article that did in fact mention it could cause symptoms of depression. I stopped it for a while and felt better. I plan to restart with less product and see how it goes. I do need the collagen, but I also need to feel well emotionally.
What I read is that an amino acid in it interferes with serotonin production, and therefore can place the consumer at risk of feeling low mood or depressed. This could also cause restlessness and anxiety. Just something to be aware of.
@@journeytoself8067 I'm sorry, I had not seen your question. Honestly, I have noticed this happened with several brands. I have since tried a different brand and still had the same effect. When I looked this up, it did not state any specific brand would cause these symptoms. You could google it yourself and should be able to find the same. I didn't pose the question as a brand, just asked if collagen can cause this. Since I have abstained from taking it, I am back to my normal...no more symptoms of depression or irritability which I and my husband also noted I had. I only posted this because most would never think collagen would have this effect and this is very important information.
Topical collagen is a waste of money. Collagen is not absorbed into the skin. There may be other ingredients that help your skin but it is not the collagen.

The best diet for autoimmune diseases is the carnivore diet. Do some research and you’ll see. People are afraid of meat but eating meat is the best diet.
So I stopped using the one in the blue pack and brought the pink bottle (vital proteins brand) because it had hyaluronic acid. I also use collagen serum and castor oil (papaya and mango) on my face (just a drop). Everyone compliments me for having clear and glowing skin now. Hope this helps
Older women should take two scoops because you do need more collagen as you age. Also for my pregnant ladies, take this while pregnant. I took this with my son and had barely any stretch marks. It helps with skin elasticity.
How old that is? 40?
You’re so correct about that. Also the serving size for vital protein is two scoops to equal 20 grams.
Did you breastfeed? If so did you continue taking collagen? Currently nursing and there is very little research available. Thanks
Dang i wish i took it when i was pregnant. My stretch marks and loose skin aren’t bad but they’re there :’)

What brand of collagen do you use? It’s so hard shuffling through all these brands
Vital Proteins is the better product. I've taken other brands and Vitals will always be my first choice.
Collagen needs vitamin C so produce the full..effect otherwise .waste of money
