Luca I for one enjoy ALL of your vids, as a senior of 70 (almost) I am just getting back into it! I really enjoy your info and it helps me somewhat to sorta catch up! All the best from Australia!

I watch your videos because they are enjoyable, but I can take a piece of information you offer and use it on practically any car I build. Your method enables me to build a stock of how-to's I can use and adjust for my purposes. For me, it would get boring awfully fast if you worked on the same model beginning to end. Those videos are fine, but they don't help me accumulate a library of methods useful over the entire spectrum of kits. I keep a notebook I can reference to find a particuar tip I need. I take notes just as I would for any class I take. Thanks for helping me become more and more adept at this great avocation. Cheers, Luka! Cork

Very nice, I like the direction that you're going here. That tube work is killer and engine is going to look awesome, I'm sure. Thank you for taking the time to show us your work.

I saved that, of course. Under,,study subject Modelmaking,,. That's really a class in itself, which you show. Thank you very much.

Thanks for putting this back up. I'm new to hobby and I was using this to reference building the engine on my model. The tip about using the intake to locate the heads was really helpful. As well as using the filler glue instead of putty.

Instead of making dowel pins for the block, all you had to do was glue the rod into the holes in the bell housing and use the holes that you drilled to line it all up. no worries about getting the dowels straight or their length.

As usual, good video ! I love building the engines in my model kits, I work doing muscle car restorations so I like to add the assembly line paint markings, check marks etc.
Good information in your video, well done ! 🍻

Great video man, I like the way you’re taking on this project, I want t learn how to rust a model, I have one almost ready for that in rust red primer

"Girly" sanding sticks are the only way to go. Support your local hobby shop by buying your kits and paints and glues from them. Support your local beauty supply store by buying your sanding sticks from them. Save yourself $3-5 per stick in the process. Everybody wins.

On the primer paint, since the one you used in this video was not your primary choice and fell maybe around 3rd in line, what is your 1st and 2nd choice of primer before you have to settle for this brand that was used in this video? I just ran into your videos a while ago and this is more of what I like to see. I subscribed after watching about 3 of your videos before deciding that yup, this is what I'm looking for regarding model videos.

Unfortunately,I cannot rember my first choice. I have post it in a couple of my other videos. It's a product only sold at automotive paint suppliers. My second choice is out of production. So my 3rd choice is pretty much my first choice now. I have very good results with Duplicolor scratch filler primer. So it's all I use these days.
Thanks for subbing and I'm glad you are getting something from my videos.

Hey thanks for responding. So last night I used a primer from transtar part #4603. It’s the only thing I had laying around. I only sprayed the engine/trans so far and it seems to have worked well. I’m building this as a father/son project with my nine year old. Mistakes will be made and I’m ok with that. I plan on keeping this model and displaying it for many years. Hopefully he’ll get into this hobby. I’ll be going through your other videos for tips and tricks. Thanks.

I like where you are going with these builds. You could call them "street replicas", because you saw them, they left an impression at the time..............best if you had a few photos, helps. Funny, you know that at model contests/shows a lot of the 'shiny' cars get overlooked because they start to look the same but the ones that show a bit of patina, daily drivers get more notice because people can relate. The overdone rust outs are just that, overdone and not believable. Glad you brought out grampa's file, everyone should have one. Cheers

Sorry but the headline is building model engines, but you spend so much time talking about yourself and why you do the videos, so basically it would super without all that stuff. Not informative in any way. I do like your actual videos , they are informative and helpful I just fell sorry for people that use the free UA-cam where they can’t forward by 10 seconds forward at a click. Your quality is very good. I care about your expertise but not about why you do the videos ..ultimately once you get to your video about the subject, I love your commentary.
