Thank you for sharing your techniques! I'm just rediscovered the hobby after 22 years. Never knew how much a properly detailed transmission added to the car. Very inspiring!

In the past I sprayed models only too. But I found it that I would be finishing a model in a week. The whole point is the journey not the destination. My goal is to pass the time not have a shelf with car models. That’s why I agree every part is a model in it self take the time to detail it.

For transmissions, i use two colors. The first coat is model masters silver chrome trim, and the second is model master aluminum. I get a good look, and I am always happy with how it looks.

Unfortunately I already completed the blob of silver under the car, before I started watching your vids. I learned a lot and I will not make that mistake again. Great video and your not a jerk. I proved that by giving you a thumbs up. Lol

I love using that brass as the base color for my carburetors. It looks so much more scale than gold.

Love watching your vids, even the reruns..LOL Up until a few years ago I was an avid builder, miss being able to build like I used to do to medical issues. So I build vicariously through your videos. Please keep it up.

When airbrushing, I mask them with plumbers white silicon seal tape, it shapes smooth to the transfer cases and don´t peel off the first metalizer paint...this way I can get the two metal tones for the separate effect.

Looking forward to see it, the Malibu, continue to take shape and get back where we, you, left off....hope to see you tackle a kitbash in the future, different engine etc., etc...a Luka Cee street and 1/4 mile warrior!! 😎🤘🏻✊🏻
Still figuring out what to do with the interior for my '37 Ford Sedan ratrod/hotrod, I don't like the modern one in the kit....
Onwards and upwards my friend! 🍻🤜🏻🤛🏻

Hey Luca why nobody has a video on how to ( build a/n fittings and lines. I would like to see other builders methods on this subject to better my skills on working with braided hose and fittings. Just to see if I'm not doing it correctly.

    Hello And thank u.
I build 1/48 aircraft 1/35 military 1/700 watercraft and now thanks to your videos. Cars.
I have a 1966 ford Galaxie 500 4 door. Its done up pretty nice. So thats the real car.
Being a moder I wanted to build 1 but the only kit comes in the 2 door version.
Going through the old open boxs at my local model I found a old AMT kit buy as it. Great now I only have to spend $45 on 1 more new kit so I can cut them and 1 car.
When got home and open the box to how many may be missing. Quess what I found?
    2 COMPLETE 1966 FORD GALAXIE 500 2 DOOR KITS!
Just what I needed to build the car thats in my garage and has bin in are family since the day it purchased back in 1966.
I even have the paint that was used being im the painter.
Haven't come across any vids here on cutting and extending 2 kits together. Makes me shudder thinking o it.
Keep the great work going thank you.

Seems a lot of moders switch to some of the new pants . Between testors and model master has work fine for my last 50 yrs
Lots of new brand out there and I will try them. There a metalized 1 I really want try I think its called all late.
Could of missed spelled it but every one that uses them raves over how good it is.

Actually. They were already. I contemplated if I should do the video. But it's still good info. I still find Alot of Testors Metalizers on line. And this works with any lacquer based Metalizer type paint.

I used the spray metalizer. The stuff takes forever to dry. Even after several days it gets all over my hands after handling. I do buff afterwards but makes no difference.

Really? I have never had that problem before with Testors Metalizers. But I have with other brands. But now with the Testors line discontinued. I have discovered a replacement. But the line has not come to the U.S.A. yet. When it does. I will review it and use it in my videos.

I was wondering if nascar engine blocks and heads can be done the same way as your tranny. May be a kinda dumb question

    • @TheLukaCeeChannel
      @TheLukaCeeChannel  2 роки тому

Sure can. And I have done it. But these paints are not avalable anymore. BUT! The new lacquers from Tamiya are great. It is the LP line. They are slowly getting into this country. They have outstanding metalizer type colors. Look up on Andy's Hobby Headquarters channel. He did some videos on them.

This is one of the reasons why I unsubscribe Because This is the reason why we come on to watch these videos me being a viewer. everything else is just extra This is the reason why people come on UA-cam to watch people build models Want to take the building aspect out of model building you have nothing that’s how I feel And that’s probably how you saw it You bought it back I hope this message doesn’t ruffle your feathers but I’m just speaking how I feel

    • @paul1349

The guy has become a dictator model building it’s how I want it It’s not a show about building models it’s about giving tips 😆 from now on I’m gonna tell you why I took it off and why I bought it back because soon I’m gonna take it off again 😆 To be honest I never really been a model builder I just collect boxes I like how they look and I like the way they smell let’s leave the bottle building aspect out of it thank you Lucas I like you but this video was funny
