- On September 17, 2019, Israeli F-35 stealth fighters attempted to attack positions along the Iraqi-Syrian border. The attack was a complete failure because no one was hurt on the ground, but Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense systems were incapable of detecting Israeli F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters flying over the Syrian capital. The effectiveness of the Russian S-400 is called into question by yet another Israeli Air Force strike, as two further Israeli jets were unopposed in their entry into Syrian airspace. Another interesting fact is that Russian jets didn't try to intercept Israeli F-35 aircraft. This may indicate that Russian stealth detection technologies were ineffective. Russia gave the Syrian Armed Forces the go-ahead to fully operationalize the S-300 and engage Israeli aircraft at the first sign of a threat. But obviously, 1975's surface-to-air missile system is unable to identify modern fifth-generation stealth fighters, but what about the S-400? Russia's S-400 Triumf, or the SA-21 Growler, has developed credibility as one of the few weapons capable of thwarting American stealth capabilities.

The whole idea is to get well within the stealth jet's munitions range without being detected. Just because you know a jet is in the general area is not effective you have to be able to weapons lock. Guess what the S400 can't do until the F35 gets within 30 km and the F35 has already release four 1000# JDAMS or PaveWays or AGM-88? OR other Air to Ground "sorry but you are now dead" munitions? S-400 stationed anywhere will also have a multiple radar systems meant for detection of aircrafts. It is impossible for a s400 to not get a lock on with the help of these radars
@@geopolitical_guy maybe you don’t know that there is two types of radar bands that we use for radars. USA tends to use a very tight beam doesn’t have the range or wide field but it gives you a higher resolution that means if you can detect it you can lock on it. Russia tends to use a more spread beam which is actually good at detecting stealth but is harder to get a lock on targets. USA and Russia China too have been now using the two types of radar as combination. Which sometimes gives you the case that you can detect the airplane you know is there but not exactly. So you use one band to give you an idea of the direction and place the stealth airplane is at and now you try to use the narrow band which gives you a good target lock but again for that to happen the airplane has to get closer to you so that your narrow shorter band can detect him and aim the missle that you will fire.

When they used F-16's to take out the nuke reactor in Iraq they blanketed the entire middle east with jamming of pretty much everything. Electronic warfare is a key component to stealth, both the F-22 and F-35 have extremely powerful EW suites which are claimed to be so effective that they can effectively shut down adversary radars trying to track them. My point is, people think that stealth is only about reducing the radar return of an aircraft, but a lot more goes into it than that

Israel uses long range air to ground missiles to decrease risk of being shot down. The aircraft is hundreds of miles away by the time the payload is delivered.

The US has a number of systems designed to take out S400. Many types of drones, soon lasers.and is a nuclear war the nuclear blackout effect that blinds all Radat. Raytheon MALD and HARM were particularly effective in Ukraine.
Russian AA systems can't do shit against stealth. The S-400/500 use two radars. A high and low frequency, and each talk to each other. The high frequency radar can see the aircraft, but can't gather enough info to obtain a firing solution. So it tells the low frequency radar that there's something in "that general direction." But the low frequency radar can't see it, no matter what, so the system gets taken out.

Being able to track an F35 does not mean you can get a good weapons lock. Those systems use different electromagnetic wavelengths and the stealth coating defeats the band used for weapons locks until the plane is almost on top of you.
The s400 system did track the f35s. The fact that the west fails to mention is, the s400 systems were manned by Russian soldiers and had they shot down Israeli f35s, it would be considered an act of war. You should really do a little more digging before posting videos

I've actually seen some video where someone talked about how Israel's military would sometimes give warnings for people to get out before executing their strike/bombing operations. Also saw a footage filming locals being warned by Israel's forces to clear the area as they are going to strike it soon.

This contradicts itself. First it says s300 and s400 cannot detect the f35s but at the end it says the s400 is one of the only systems that can credibly detect the modern stealth aircraft.
But detection is not enough. Lower frequency radars can detect stealth aircraft, but they cannot get a weapons quality lock.
