- Josh Peck has spoken out for the first time following the release of the explosive docuseries, "Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV." In the Investigation Discovery show, Drake Bell opened up for the first time about the abuse he suffered as a child actor at the hands of his dialogue coach, Brian Peck. Drake and Josh starred in the hit Nickelodeon show "Drake & Josh" for four seasons from 2004 to 2008. Following the documentary's release, many people took to Josh's social media to ask him why he hadn't spoken. On Thursday, the "Oppenheimer" star went on Instagram to address the show and publicly support the survivors. "I finished the 'Quiet On Set' documentary and took a few days to process it. I reached out to Drake privately but want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world," he wrote. "Children should be protected. Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry." Drake also spoke out in defense of Josh on Wednesday, telling fans in a TikTok video that they had spoken. "I just want you guys to know that he has reached out to me, and it's been very sensitive," Drake said. "But he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this. And has been really, really great. So just wanted to let you guys know that and to take it a little easy on him."

I don't think a high profile person like Dan really needs more jail time than that. The purpose of prison system is to suppress bad behavior from individuals who are a net negative to society. When an influential and productive member of society is locked away for that long it really doesn't do anyone any favors other than fulfilling one's personal spite. He didn't physically harm any of his actors and gave them a rewarding acting career at the end of the day.

@@BRBallin1 Well it seems he did physically harm Drake Bell (we're talking about Brian Peck right?). The prison system isn't for what you're describing. It's punishment to deter potential criminals from enacting their crimes. Holding them accountable. Some billionaire murdering people doesn't mean he should get a slap on the rest because in prison, less money is being circulated. They should be in prison for the actions they committed and those they hurt. You can talk about all this "productive member of society" crap, but when someone does something horrible to you, I bet you'd cry if that person got out with a slap on the wrist because they're "productive" and "useful."
They're not "allegations", it was proven in a court of law that it happened. The man responsible was convicted and went to prison.

The reason they say allegations is because the court process is a bit complicated. Just because youre admitting guilt, doesnt mean youre admitting to everything and how it happened.
For example, i was wrongfully accused of something when i was a teenager. Never happened. But i pleaded guilty because youll need to pay a lot out in lawyer fees and if you some how lose youll get an even bigger punishment. People think you need a ton of evidence to be found guilty and thats not true, its randomized. People are currently sitting in prison for crimes they did not commit. We hear cases of guys being cleared 20yrs later after it found out they didnt actually do it. You run a huge risk by letting it go to trial.
Every single thing Drake said could 100 percent be true and i do believe his word. But the court system is complex and not straight forward. If he was given a longer sentence he would have taken it to trial and possibly have gotten off. But they gave him a sentence that youre still punished for, but youre less likely to accept taking it to trial.

His lawyer would have insisted on Alfred plea if he was truly innocent. People who plead guilty when innocent are like you, not in position of power. That guy was in a position of power.

Dan clearly told him what to ask. Note : When the interviewer began talking about the writing room, Dan put his hand up to stop him from talking and then took over the interview. He just apologized for whatever, but nothing was allowed to be asked specifically. It wasn't a real interview; it was Dan's way of coming out first saying...Don't look at me! I am a victim of this too! But everyone caught on to his lame attempt at directing, writing, producing and editing his own interview.

@@marissa._ It's not about "owing" it, but I'm reminded of what my pastor has said about unforgivness. "It's like drinking poison hoping that the other person dies." It can eat you inside out. It's not just to the benefit for the person who caused pain but for the person who experienced it as well.
Now I understand why Drake Bell’s behavior has been so crazy for the past ten years. There’s no excuse for it of course, but hopefully opening up to this trauma will be the start of Drake Bell’s road to recovery. I hope Drake will finally be free of that past and move on to the future.

He’s had two convictions of DUI’s, he’s been spotted in his car using whippits while his kid was in the car. Although I’m not sure him having his kid in the car was true. But anyways, those are just some of the few stories I’ve seen.

Yeah. Lots of people are gonna blame him saying it’s his fault for allowing him around Brian. But it seems like he was manipulated into thinking Drake shouldn’t have a parent as a manager. Drake, being the kid he was at the time believed it, and the dad, wanting to give him room to breathe believed it too. He did not apologize to them (Dan Schneider). He apologized to a press junket, and even then, Jeannette McCurdy wrote a book two years ago, and it should have happened then, even after this non-apology. If Dan wants to improve, then he will make the conscious efforts to modify his behavior and seek help.
As for Drake Bell in support of Josh Peck, it is hard to speak up to begin with in an abuse-enabling culture like ours. It's even harder to respond.

I want to apologize to the lord. I want to apologize for scoffing at his words. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. As a teenager, I wanted to star on a show on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel to improve my social inclusion. My heart was so corrupted by my own greed and envy It never occurred to me that the people who made me laugh in my favorite TV shows were hiding their pain in their eyes, and the sadness behind their smiles. I want to recover from my trauma. These actors want to recover from their trauma too. I finally understand it. I finally understand that I’m graduating in my late 20’s because this is all part of God’s timing. God was keeping me safe from people like Brian Peck. Only God knows when I’ll be married, when I’ll have a great social life, and when my career will begin. I just have to keep trusting him.
My prayers go out to Drake Bell. Hearing him talking about these horrible things was never going to be easy. However, I hope what Drake did with his bravery can help other actors speak up about any personal misconduct. Drake Bell really did prove to me that when it comes to being a TV star, there is a sense of darkness, that even the bright lights of Hollywood can never hide.

Can't help but admire Drake, honestly, Josh has a huge reckoning to face how he treated Drake in recent years. No matter what he said, they were close enough to be considered as official friends, they started off with Amanda Bynes, to creating their own show together. It's not like they met on the Drake and Josh show and never hung out, there's pictures all over social media of them hanging out during and after the series ended. Then when Josh got a whiff of the elevation of getting the big gigs, he let it get to his head and it showed when Drake was going through his low period of accusations that Josh was not there for Drake.
Josh does not deserve Drake, however I think Drake would appreciate to still have some friendship with Josh, with that, they certainly need to figure it out on their own. With sincerity I am hoping for the best for them, I grew up watching their show and they seemed like they were great celebrities who didn't let Hollywood get to their heads. Amazed that Drake went through this and didn't go into a more self destructing path that is too common for Hollywood/celebrity children, he's turned out to be a very gracious guy.
Peck seems to have lost all common sense with his weight loss.....sad....these are the days of exposure from top to bottom from politics to hollywood, from education to sports, from health care to banking, and so much more.

Devastating to see the cycle of abuse continue given child endangerment charges Drake pled guilty to within the past couple of years. It is important to support survivors even when it is not convenient- yes this means supporting Drake coming out against Brian Peck, AS WELL AS supporting Drake’s victim coming out about against Drake.

That was absolutely heartbreaking to watch him talk about what happened. I could see the hurt and trauma in his eyes. This Dan creep paved the way , he created environments for predators to act out. He normalized sexual innuendos etc towards kids, he made it ok, he should be held accountable as well.

I don't follow social media, but I always thought Josh was trying to distance himself from the industry after the show ended and just wanted to focus on his own stuff. If he DID know about what was going on but said nothing about it, that is sad. But I don't blame the guy for wanting to get away. If my information is outdated, feel free to correct me. And to Drake, I wish you the best, man, you deserve it after all of the crap you've gone through...

they are not allegations , the man who abused him went to court and was found quilty & convicted of lewd acts with a minor , that minor was drake bell . dont sugar cote it by calling something a allegation when the man went to jail *all be it not for long due to corruption* .

It’s been exposed for years but no one spoke out until the documentary came out. The INTERNET investigated it which is crazy because of rumors and conspiracy theories I feel bad after learning about the abuse they’ve been thru made me stop watching Nickelodeon when I was in my teens. Don’t ever be on or put your child onto the industry
so if he did confess to those weird massages, could that alone be enought to send him to jail for inappropriate relationships or harassment?
Yeah and I’m sure Josh in his girly teen voice, dressing up as women, and always being the butt of the joke was never abused either??? Give me a break. He hides the pain in his eyes. If more people spoke up, it could make more of an impact and get these guilty people behind bars, where they should be.
