Talking to everyone around Wyll except for Wyll has to be some sort of power move XD
LOL I rewatched the video after reading this and died at how I just strolled past him specifically 😂
@@fififemke "Not worthy of your attention" XD
The edit specifically hovers him then just cuts away. I actually spat out my coffee.
@havenomouth 😂😂😂
The Yawning Portal is a tavern in the city of Waterdeep.
Gale is from Waterdeep.
Okay but the connection I made with the other portal does make total sense imo 😂
Im not sure if you have done this already but... if you can be sure to get your hands on plenty of "Speak with Animals" potions or if you can learn the spell to cast it on yourself then all the better.
Speaking with animals doesnt give you many new quests and none that are essential, but it provides many hilarious moments.
Haven’t found any yet, but I’ll *definitely* get my hands on the spell as soon as I can!
@@artsveiman7776 If you find a scroll of Speak with Animals, give it to Gale( or any Wizard) so he can learn the spell permanently (right click, learn).
There's a lot to explore around the Druid's Grove. And elsewhere for that matter. I still find new things after seveeral playthroughs.
And this episodes lore dump: Watedeep, the City of Splendours, Gale's home town (the Wizard of Waterdeep). A city far to the norrth at the mouth of a river, overlooked by a mountain. Inide the mountain is a huge dungeon, some natural caves and more constructed rooms and tunnels collecting them. The Yawning Portal is one of the city's most famous taverns, mostly because in the cellar is a tunnel taking you down into the Undermountain dungeon. Waterdeep almost neveer appears in D&D-based computer RPGs - I think the only time is in the Hordes of the Underdark expansion for Neverwinter Nights 1, where you see the inside of The Yawning Portal plus a couple of streets outside.
The description of Gale’s hometown sounds absolutely magical. Thank you for telling me this. 🤗
Whenever you fail a check when examining an inanimated object (like the hole) you can use other characters to examine it, thus giving you more chances to succeed 😉
Also, 10 is like a very basic difficulty class for checks, expect way higher difficulty later XD
Gale's "affliction" seems like a huge tax on your economy, at first, but it really isn't.
Without spoilers, he consumes very few magic items. It's not an infinite, unsustainable situation.
And there are plenty of cheap, weak and/or useless magic items in the game that you can find or buy.
Just make sure that you always have the next one ready. 😁
If you'd accept a bit of unsolicited advice, I suggest you talk to all your companions when you Long Rest at Camp, even if they don't have an exclamation point over their heads - sometimes they'll have opinions on something you did recently, that isn't relevant to the plot, but will let you get to know them bit better.
No I do not. Jk ofcourse I do! 😂 I love it when people leave tips and advice! Thank you for letting me know: noted!
Good to see that you're enjoying yourself!
I will tell you before you move on though that you can pick up another companion in the grove (the guy who was the blade of frontiers at the gate. He's one of the guys sparring with everyone and teaching people to defend themselves)
Also... when you are rolling skill checks there is a button called 'add bonuses' which will let you see if there's anything you can add. Most commonly when Shadowheart is in the party is to have her cast the cantrip Guidance which adds plus 1d4 to your roll.
Doesn't matter. He'll show up later if you ignore him
Ohhh this is great advice! Thank you so much!
Just a word of warning: you can't fully explore with just the camera. You have to move your party members as well as use the camera. When you move characters, the game performs perception checks and displays what you perceive. This doesn't happen when you only look around with the camera. Camera is great to scope out terrain or tactical positions, but cannot be substituted for party movement. Do your due diligence with party movement or you'll miss many things.
Also you see other characters and objects only when your party is close, so while looking at a faraway place you literally can't see who's there XD
I’m glad you told me this, I wouldn’t have figured this out anytime soon. 😂 Thanks!
@@fififemke I never know how much meta gaming streamers will tolerate. There are literally dozens of not so obvious little tips like this. If ever you get to the point of not wanting them just speak up and I'll be glad to STFU. :)
@fhare666 That’s fair! I personally think every piece of advice given in my comment section comes from a place of good faith, as they usually mean “hey! If you do x and y, this will be better for your gaming experience”. I also got thick skin (which is essential when you put yourself on the internet), so constructive criticism is always appreciated instead of taken as an attack. I really do appreciate your politeness though!
Glad to see another great episode
Thanks for your kind comments Eric!
I enjoy your playthroughs.
I can't wait for you to get to Act 3 and see your reaction when you watch it again hehe.
RAPHAEL 🛐🛐🛐
You’ve got me real curious now 😂
i can tell you now, id avoid going towards the Githyanki Creche until after you find Halsin, just so your at least near or at level for that area
Keep playing, you will love Raphael a lot :)
Learn Speak With animals. It's the most fun spell in the game.
Rolling again doesnt hinder or take away anything it helps with missed rolls.
This is great to know!
Nice job killing the harpies, most people die on their first try. Don't forget that when you do dice rolls you can add bonuses with the button at the bottom.
Oh really?! Now I feel like I’m starting to redeem myself a little, muhahah! I know I can add bonuses, but for some reason something in me tells me those are limited, which they are probably not. 😂 Gotta get used to that mechanic. Thanks for the reminder!
@@fififemke Some of them take spell slots, but a lot of them last until you long-rest, so you can cast them all when you wake up. Things like speak with animals and armor of faith for instance. Guidance is a cantrip, so use it every time if available.
Femke the loot goblin 😂😂
I would love for you to make a tier list of the bosses when you finish your run (which fight you thought was the best or which boss has the best design, etc.)
That's a good idea!
I don't think Lae`zel is as bad as everyone is apparently telling you. She's actually pretty open-minded for a Githyanki. Githyanki and Githzerai are both physically the same, it's just their culture that differs. The Githyanki have a very militant and spartan lifestyle, and certain ideas run deep. Her people could generally be called evil, but there's a lot of nuance to that statement.
I’m definitely already starting to grow to like her! It’s always interesting when a game has characters with lots of personal growth that are initially not very likable. Similar to Mass Effect actually! I’m into it. 💃🏼
Nice with with the harpies. They're a nasty thing to contract.
That guy who abducted you might as well have told you his drag name was Lucy Fur and had done with it - he's not exactly subtle, and I'm glad you didn't make a deal with him.
A fun playthrough, as always. Don't worry so much about your skin.. I guarantee mine's worse (and for the same reason).
The drag name comment is HILARIOUS 😂 Sorry to hear you’re struggling with dermatillomania as well. On video it doesn’t look so bad bc makeup, lighting and a not so amazing camera, but I can tell you I can dig some bullet holes into my skin- it’s the worst! 😭
@@fififemke I'm not recommending this technique, but after cleaning the hell out of one the other day, I put a sticking plaster (band aid if you prefer) over the area so I'd leave it alone.
@TheSarkyGamer I actually do this too! I tried putting a plaster on the one on my chin, but unfortunately bc of its location (on a smile crease) it doesn’t stay put. 😔 Thanks for the advice tho!
you really should go and talk to Wyll.
17:15 wow ,congrats on finding this area, this OST is pretty great. (I think its just called "Harpy Song" its the 8th Soundtrack) (a lot of the soundtracks are sooooooo good),though honestly you should of made yourself lose to see what would happen.
43:40 the original way you would of met Raphael is when you make your way to the Path that leads to the GIthyanki Creche (well the starting part of the quest anyways), I think anyways. But I guess this Change (which was a couple Huge updates ago) was more needed I guess, not sure why but maybe because some people just avoided the exact path that would trigger his interaction. Like you where supposed to cross this broken Bridge but then you get interrupted by Raphael.
45:20 and then a small part of his Theme is playing in the background.
46:03 he is one of the Devils in this universe
Thank you for telling me these little bits of lore, that’s actually super interesting. 🤔
Raphael is the best char imo
I’m curious to find out what he has to offer 🫡
Not sure why the cat didnt go in, it should have been able to that is one of its supposed skills.
I heard so much talk about Astarion and his sex appeal and... I have yet to feel anything for him. I can appreciate a man who knows he's sexy and flaunts it, but that doesn't mean he's my type. 😅
SAME! I’ve yet to feel any ✨tingles✨ for this man, altho as you may have noticed, I do love a little in-game flirting. 😂 I’m hopeful that he may sway us in the future. 🫡
When you chose that option I was delighted, it was very funny! If he's going to manipulate us with flirting, we may as well do the same. Mwahaha
perhaps sort items by type
