I'm not very savvy with VSTs and plugins, but for that effect with the pedal do you have to manually do it with the mouse when recording, or is there any way to hook up an actual pedal to it in order to use it as an input for the pitch shift pedal? Like when Djent/Deathcore bands do their pitch shifting shenanigans on the go, is that a Midi pedal you hook up?
most new fans or newcomers who discovered them with magma or fortitude have no idea about terra incognita the link , from mars to sirius except flyng whales and the way of all flesh
What I love about the brothers Duplantier is that they might not seem super virtuosic at first glance, but if you look at the details of their playing styles, you quickly realise just how unique and precise they are in what they do. Joe and Mario are absolute mad lads and deserve all the recognition and praise in the world.
Well, with Joe I agree, but for any drummer Mario is instantly an obvious virtuoso. I dont know any drummer who doesnt consider Mario one of the very best in the world right now
@@jez_77 Listen, i'll give credits where it's due. Mario is an amazing drummer but to claim that every drummers considers him to be at the top of the best is absolutely laughable. Not saying so because of Mario's skill level, he is a great drummer but you can't compare a purely and strictly metal drummer to say dudes like Jojo Mayer, Virgil Donati, Vinnie Colaiuta, Thomas Pridgen, Marco Minneman, etc... @@The_Kevinist Plot twist, Mario was originally a jazz drummer for several years and he was in jazz school so he can play fusion as well easily. While also being god tier metal drummer. He is one of the best in what he is doing, no question
If I had a pound for every time I saw a desktop at a recording studio with a folder with that name, I'd have five pounds - not a lot, but it's definitely notable.
Barely ever listened to Gojira, but Duplantier’s guitar is basically exactly my dream guitar, and his Archetype amp sim is the best i’ve ever used. and now you’re telling me they made an even BETTER version of it? Wild.
i think they said they were able to recover 3 other songs from it and plan on releasing it in the future, but i got that from some random interview so take it with a grain of salt
I just heard about this band the other day and started listening to them. I listed to a lot of Pantera in high school. I wasn't into the "metal" bands of the 2000s, but Gojira brought me right back to the golden age! I'm so happy to sit and discover all their albums for the first time. Also, I want that telecaster!
The transpose knob is so useful and fun. Its a great way to play in different tunings without having to buy and swap out different guitars for each song. Amazing if you don’t have a big budget or simply just don’t feel like fooling with the strings all the time.
For the last week i have had the whole thin on repeat, over and over, but from minute 0:54 to 0:60 fuck man, I get goosebumps and stuff. Masterful piece from a masterful album
Such a good ending. Caught me off guard when the single dropped & that hardly happens with metal anymore it seems so it was a breath of fresh air. Gojira rules
They play in either dgcfad or cgcfad, not immensely low. But the amount of harmonics in this song make it super heavy. Thats gojiras sound, chunky and heavy but smooth in its composition.
I tune my guitar to drop E and lower sometimes but I love how they play in drop D. Still such a good sound, very full bodied and heavy thanks to the bass and guitar tone
Ugh see I absolutely love how he used the whammy pedal in the bit before the final breakdown starts and I wanna incorporate it into how i play the song but I'm trying to figure out if he's decending in the harmonic as well as using the whammy or is his whammy already up when he starts that section.....😅😫
Recording my new entire album just with plugins (mix of Gojira and AmpKnob). Sounds fantastic! Better then last album where we got our amps professionally recorded... being able to tune teh amp for the song quickly is amazing! Havent tried X yet, but guess it wouldnt accept the regular version's presets? Probably shouldn't switch mid production...
Out of all the bands I’ve listened to, Gojira has the most interesting and creative guitar riffs. Huge fan of BTBAM and Meshuggah but when it comes to just creatively awesome raw riffs, I’d say Gojira
That harmonic breakdown is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Fuckn Gojira man!
Floods outro by Dimebag, most beautiful guitar riff ever made
They are so underrated
@@jamesdean4966 I don't agree, I think everyone gives them lots of praise. I have never heard anyone talk poorly or down about Gojira

This, Bogren Digital Ampknob is pretty good too but no effects, you need some vst.
Is this on TONEX

I think they’re recording their new album. Tama released a video of Mario with the bell bronze snare too. Pretty exited ngl
Archetype Gojira X is my favorite plugin. Super stoked you guys added the pitch shifting feature so I do not have to retune guitars.
