TURNING MY TRASH CAN INTO A SUMP!!
Hello everyone, in this video we’re transforming our trash can into a 30 gallon sump for our 225 gallon aquarium. This sump is going to be packed full of media! If you have problems with the bulk heads they make uni seals that are ment to seal on round surfaces they are usually cheaper as well

Get your self some poly filter and activated carbon. No more cloudy or smelly water. Also, skip expensive media and use Lava rock. Does the same thing and is very porous.

Basically you drop a water pump in your pond, connect a hose from it to the bottom hole in the can, it fills the can with water, goes up to top of can and exits through a pipe back into pond.
Far as pipe sizes and drill bit sizes, what are they?

I've just set up a cichlid aquarium and I'm thinking of adding a moving bed sump for extra filtration liking the video my friend 👍
