i like it
How did you attach float to the side of bucker?
it didn't fit while on the pump. bumped against the side.
Not a big deal. Just get a small zip tie and tie it through two drilled wholes. simple.
Get an adapter so you can use a standard size sump pump extension hose a garden hose is to small .
I may try that this spring. for the few minutes it runs a short garden hose seems fine.
I have this setup only the float is at the top and gets stuck on the side of the bucket, can I cut it? Or get a smaller float?
No you can’t cut it they are waterproof. You have to rearrange something so it doesn’t get caught
The Home Depot bucket is too narrow for the setup. If I manually lift the float, it works fine. 🫤
@@pixanne007 I agree the 5-gal bucket is a bit small. I may increase bucket size for v. 3.0
you cheap bastard. I love it.
Zip tie the pump away from the float so it won't vibrate over and interfere
I jammed some rocks down there to keep it in place!
how has this worked for you?
Great. An upgrade video is coming
Nail clippers do the trick on zip ties.
I'll have to try that. I really like the melting trick
First thing right off never use flex hose for anything except a Halloween custom suit that crap plugs up within a year you’ll be back hard white PVC perforated 4 inch pipe
Yes it plugged. I’ve replaced the garden hose with 1.5 inch flex hose and it seems to be working
Uh, I'd take the pump out before drilling
Vertical style float switch for that application otherwise you risk switching problems. Considering water damage can cause thousands of dollars in damage I don’t see any reason to budget a sump pump system.
Speed of installation
Or you could use an automatic pump that senses water and Turns on
just use landscape fabric as a filter. .Easier to work with, works better and cheap
Heavy clay. Would probably clog landscape fabric
Just use a razor blade to get zip ties flush.. smh
I use fire. smh
