Hi queens! I finally texlaxed my 4c natural hair ...and the end result was lovely. In this video I wll be showing you step by step process on how I texlaxed my hair . I also gave a little reason why I texlaxed , if you have a 4c natural hair and you find it easy to maintain you don’t need this whole texlaxed process.

I don't care what no body say...natural hair is a journey. Takes a lot of time to maintain and manage.
Periodt 💕❤️
Time I am willing to give
@@armcandi36 I understand that. I'm still all natural BUT It requires time. It really does.
Agree completely
Um ok. But why do we as black people have to style our natural hair to a white acceptable standard where it’s too time consuming?
*Ladies,* *NEVER apply relaxer to the roots and edges FIRST.* IMPROPER application. The roots should be done last AND the edges. Midshaft first, the. quickly apply to roots and ends, as the ends are more porous, and the roots will process really really quickly due to scalp body heat. **This is meant to help the readers here. 💛❤️PeacenLove
Ohk sis thanks for your wonderful advice to the readers . I appreciate your advice ❤️😍
@@Estelley Yes ma'am.
In addition to the above, the hair should never be combed while the relaxer is on the hair strands. 💜❤️

@@lionnees5479 You should be grateful dear.
Finally, somebody with 4c hair
My heart🥰. Your daughter is so beautiful and precious.
Awww thank you so much 😍
She’s gorgeous
I'm currently melting away from how precious and sweet your daughter is. You couldn't have started the video better 💜
Awww your so sweet thank you 😍😍😍
That child is GORGEOUS!!
Thank you 😊 😘
She really is! So cute, I hope my daughter looks like that if I have a child one day lol
@@SA-nt9kl definitely God gives us the best 😍😍
My natural hair is as coarse as yours is. I relaxed mine about a year and a half ago. I don't regret it. Natural hair is difficult to maintain.
Yea I agree it’s difficult but I might go back to it can’t be retouching Evrytime it’s killing my hair
I’m considering a methods
@@Estelley Guess What? I've been natural for almost a year now. 😌 My afro is growing nicely now. I've made an effort to learn about our African hair and how to take care of it.
@@leratokobedi1034 yes I am almost a year back to natural I couldn’t keep up
Yes it is work 😢
Your hair is beautiful😍😍😍...also, people need to stop judging people for doing what they want with their hair. If it works for you, go for it.
Thank you, periodt ❤️😍😊👍
When I first went natural my hair was somewhat like yours. I kept getting braids and learned how to manage my hair. As my hair grew longer the texture changed, now it's more loose.
I hope when I decide to go back natural i will have more patience and maybe I will figure things out like you did. Mine was it’s getting fuller but no length and texture was getting thicker 😊
same here... our hair is just amazing
Same here, mine did the same.
Same here. I had itty bitty curls but my hair was always soooo dry. 9 years in and I’m still re-learning my hair. It seems to do something new every 1-2 years lol
@@Estelley You have to figure out why its breaking and address that. Remember to keep it in a stretched style. Are you keeping single strand knots at bay? Are you keeping it moisturized every 2-3 days? You absolutely need patience for type 4 hair, yours is a true 4c, I believe mine is a mix of 4b/c and it takes a lot of work and patience.
She’ll wash the nonsense out of your hair sent me 😂😂😂
😂😂😂she washes the hair like you never washed it from birth 🤣🤣 only the root scrubbing made my soul want more lol thank for watching hun😍❤️
It got me, too.
OMG Mona!!!!! 😍😍😍 Estelle pls we want to see more of the adorable princess pls she’s too cute!
Aww thank you I will Boo 😍
Yes, she is adorable and has a lot of charisma!!! Awe!!
Your hair is soo thick 😭😭😭 love it
Yes it is, thank you
I totally agree with you. I texlax my hair after wearing it natural for two year. My hair had just became to hard and time consuming to maintain.
I know right , it’s so hard to manage at some point. But I had to do it for me let me enjoy it while it last.

Awwww your so sweet look At all that you wrote I am happy you enjoyed my video 😍🥰
Dax is just hair grease. She looks like she was greasing your scalp. I've never seen a beautician do that, thats old school. Your texturizer came out really good.
Thanks dear for the Dax I didn’t know much about it as I don’t use it but later I got to read up and I haven’t used it . Thank you for your beautiful support 😍
Old school, or just a lack of proper training?
@@tadams764 it’s proper and perfect shut up

The way she greased your scalp is how I based peoples entire scalp for a relaxer prep at my best friends sisters former salon.

Amen thank you so much beautiful 😍
I was hooked at "she washed the nonsense put of your hair" lol. I love that the texture is still there. I recently did mine and it was only for manageability.
Yes sis it’s just for that purpose but funny enough my hair is going back to 4c plus new growth 😊😩
Good!!!
I haven't had a perm since August 22, 2020. Next month I will be starting back perming my hair!! For the ladies who can wear their hair natural I salute u 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾 I can't deal with not being able to comb my hair & once I do when I'm done I have a splitting headache🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Natural is not for me. I keep my hair crocheted or I have a sew in I dread taking my hair down but in about another 2-3 weeks I want have to deal with that anymore!
The combing part sis but I will try again cos even with the Textlax I have now I can’t manage the new growth and I don’t wanna apply relaxer so soon so better I go back natural or low cut because I can’t deal 🙄
UPDATE: Got my hair permed Oct 31 & I luv it!! I will get my hair permed at least every 3 months
Thank you for your honesty. Everybody doesn't have the patience for it.
@@chelcierhodes3536 Congratulations ❤. All that matters is that you’re happy regardless of what other people think.
Took the words out of my mouth. I did the big chop off last summer... my 4C is painful to comb... regardless of the products which suck right in my hair.
I am very impressed with the way your daughter speaks. Excellent
Aww thank you so much darling 💕😘
I instantly thumbs up 😂❤️❤️your daughter is so beautiful and intelligent!
Thank you so much sweetheart 😍😍😍
Well you still have your texture, I did a the same thing about two months ago, but mine looked like a relaxer. I was so upset. I told her I just wanted my hair more manageable. Your stylist knew what she was doing. Your daughter’s hair looks beautiful.👍🏾👍🏾
Yes the texture is still good but it’s not manageable after two months cos you have new growth underneath so I might just go back to natural hair come January. . Thanks on the compliment on my daughter 😍💕😊
Braids, twists, leave in conditioner, oils, & butters are best received with hair texture as 4c. It's a matter of find a good stylist to give you the style
You guys look adorable, such a beautiful relationship ❤️🥺
Your daughter is perfect example of cuteness overload❤️❤️❤️ it breaks my heart seeing you texlax your hair 😭 I did mine last year and its was way more stressful for me than my natural hair. Because my hair grows pretty fast it gets due very fast, so I had to be doing root touch ups, tricky thing is that bridge between your texlaxed and natural hair should be maintained else your hair will be overprocessed. I had to cut my hair and start over again. So painful. Wishing you love and stressfree hair care routine
Hi sis thanks for the compliment 💕🥰 hmmm I haven’t retouch mine but truth is I Textlaxed cos my hair was so thick and wash day takes forever couldn’t manage it but I forgot to mention in this video that I strted having flaking/dandruff which I said I have to Textlax maybe it can help me see the root properly but truth is my flaking or dandruff keep getting worse and now my crown area is falling off and I have new growth but cos I am not retouching it with relaxer I noticed the relaxed part is getting weak so I might end up like you 🤔😔 but I love that I have experienced it ( Textlax) I want to focus on the dandruff first so I wll cut my hair and strt over or I leave it low cut and wear wigs can’t be bothered 😕 for now Untill am ready for another hair journey. Thanks for sharing urs ❤️😘
@@Estelley I'm sorry to hear that, that just the problem with texlaxing, your hair just keeps getting thinner, sometimes we've got to experience it to keep our mind at rest. When I had bad flaky dandruff I basically changes my hair routine and it help get rid of it
Firstly I wash and condition my hair every week, used to wash every 2 weeks and protein treat every month
Then oil my scalp with hempseed oil and eucalyptus oil every day, just to make sure my scalp is always moisturised. I do got oil massage every 3days and I try not to itch it. Also use aloe, my Savior, blend, drain and put it on my scalp for about 30mins before rinsing off. I also added lots of probiotics in my diet and increased my water intake.
I used either the neutrogena Tgel anti dandruff shampoo or the dove anti dandruff shampoo. Both works pretty well and always condition your hair too. Your hair is quite lovely and I hope you get the best routine to kick those dandruffs out❤️❤️❤️
😊Mona needs her own channel because she is just too sweet and very articulate.🥰

Wow you guys got alot of hair muna is so beautiful 😍 I love the style they make with your hair at the end
Thank you sis I appreciate your support 😍
Yes! I love it! Your daughter is so adorable 😊😊😊😊
Aww thank you 😍🥰
The best method that works for me on natural hair is a good moisturizing conditioner , a plastic bag and heat. Each time I did this method I noticed my natural hair became softer, making it easy to manage. Plus a good leave in conditioner
Aww thank you for the advice, can you recommend any one of the moisturizing conditioner you love most and leave in 🥰
@@Estelley I have found conditioners are a personal choice, based on how your hair react to it.
So I didn't want to recommend a product so people won't give up after the first try, if they don't like it.
Look for deep conditioners.
It took me trying out several conditioners before finding the one I liked best.
Just be sure it's a conditioner that work good at moisturizing.
Also it should have said plastic "cap" but some folks do use plastic bags.
I get my hair products from stores like Walmart or the local hair stores.
@@deejones6431 sisss just recommend the conditioner you use. Stop acting like it’s a secret . Damn 🙄
It turned out very beautiful ! I love that you still have texture!!
Hi Estelle,I just came across your channel,I must say I can testify about the water problem here in the UAE, being a hair stylists to the local ladies hair, they faced with the same water problem, the end result of your hair was amazing.
I know right , Thank you 😍
What can be done about the water?
I love how you wanted to keep your texture! and your daughter is so sweet! very nice video❤️
You have beautiful hair. I have a texturizer because I like to wear my hair natural or straight ( if I blow dry and flat iron ). I retouch every 4 months. Texturized hair is convenient for me because it’s a little time to wash and style. I like the part when you include you adorable daughter.
Yes same here I did it just to be able to manage my hair , I wll be retouch evry 6 months that’s like twice a year . Thank you for watching I appreciate your support 😍😍😍

My hair would have parted with me during that break to mix more product. Lol. I basically have to slap a relaxer on and then quickly off to not burn. Your hair is so thick and beautiful!
I also relaxed my natural hair 2 months ago after being natural for 8 years and I have no regrets
Though I am back to natural but I had my best time with relaxed hair but due to the water condition over here I stay my hair kept breaking I had to big chop again
Enjoy your relaxed hair trust me you will get to do more hair styles with it
I love I relaxed my hair !! And I'm not upset about my decision at all ..Hi Queens😊🥰

I've been natural for 2 years. Im not sure what texture my hair is but it's definitely in the category of 4. It's very coily, difficult to moisturize and wash day for me is easily 6 hours. I am afraid to have stylist blowdryy hair because I end up having it torn out. So I mostly twist after a wash. I want box braids for winter so I will blowdry myself prior to styling or hopefully find a patient stylist. My experience is too many persons claim to be natural hair stylist and they lack the basic knowledge for example detangle at the shampoo basin after a condition starting at the ends and work your way up to the roots gently. To all my natural hair ladies, it's certainly a journey.
this is why no one but me touches my hair because I don't want anyone ripping through my hair, not all stylists have the time to take their time with your hair, the key to retaining length is leaving your hair alone, what helped get my hair to armpit length starting from skin bald in a little under 3 years was keeping my hair in braids, I used to wash and detangle with a lot of conditioner, then with the conditioner still in make ether 5 or 6 braids on each side of my head, and basically kept my hair like that doing twists as well, but braids are better on your ends for most of those 2 years, I would wash
my hair in the braids as well to cut down on the manipulation, and would just keep my head covered because I didn't like walking around all the time with the twists or braids when my hair was real short, I flat ironed and blew it out maybe 5 times to see the length, I've learned traditional blow drying with the comb attachment is no good air drying is best, and when you have 4c hair you can't keep styling and manipulating it so much especially if you're trying to grow it really long and retain
thickness as well especially if you're not born with really really thick hair, every strand counts considering you already lose more strands due to the coils being so small compared to Someone with more loose curls
@@teamchi93 Hello. I agree that less manipulation is best. I will try getting braids for the winter to give my hands a break plus I'm not trying to fit all this hair under a hat. Thank God for good genes, I have no problem with thickness. I appreciate your tips.
That baby girl tho!!!!! Oodles of cuteness.. thanks for making my day
Jesus loves you ❤️
Lovely 😊 you looked beautiful before & the hairstyle enhances your natural beauty 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽

@@Estelley 😁😁👍👍
Hello my name is Michiko and I just want to say that you texlaxed your hair because you wanted to. Hopefully you are one of the people that can take relaxers. I have 4c hair but it is thin and I went to the salon to get my initial relaxer and relaxed touch-ups. My hair was gone in two years from relaxed damage. It took 3 years to grow back. But still being natural is not for everyone. Some people hair breaks off from being natural no matter how much moisturizing and oiling of their natural hair. But your hair still look pretty even being texlaxed. Good luck with your telaxed hair.
Awww thank you and your right not everyone’s hair is not for natural cos I kept buying a lot of products with high shipping cost and each recommendation does nothing until I noticed that some pple reviews products for view not like they use it regularly while some do . again I was relaxed back in the days or years until 2017/2018 when I noticed uae 🇦🇪 water is hard water and its breaking my hair I switch to natural tho my hair was good and thick but no length and there was breakage too but it’s not noticeable cos my 4c was so thick so I decided to textlax it so I can manage it or style it while I keep up with my beauty content , again thanks for watching. Even as I type my textlax is transitioning already to 4c I won’t apply any relaxer for now cos my hair will be weak I still need the texture strong
Many forget that; relaxed hair is more manageable it's also a little more fragile and, with that fragility( especially in the first post relaxer week) your hair requires a lot more matinence..
It's took me a while to find the right product for my hair.
I use cream of natural leave in condioner and water jell.
Now I enjoy wearing my hair natural
By far the best video. Sweet little muna has a way she melts the heart.
Thanks alot 😘,!! Yes she does 😊😊😊
now, this is a real 4C hair. I have the same problem I transition to natural hair in late 2018 and my hair is growing but it does not retain the length.. my ends are always breaking my hair is really coarse and I am really considering texlaxed I am hoping this stop breaking and help my hair retain length and make it more manageable, I don't want my hair straight either. I am not savvy with doing hair either.. I watch so much tutorial to care for my natural hair but it's so much and nothing never really work. I suffer from chronic migraines so braiding my hair too much trigger my migrains
I feel you sis your story is exactly what I am going expect for the fact that I strted braiding a lot since January yet I saw no length. I don’t know if I have high or low porosity, I got tired of watching and buying products yet no moisture retention . My hair keep getting thick and no even length and wash day takes forever but now I am textlaxed I can wash freely but it’s still dries out I will say it’s the hard water in uae 🇦🇪 and i spray a little water before combining I don’t much breakage but I am trying to figure out how to manage the textlaxed journey 😍😍😍 thank for watching and sharing your experience love you 😍
Ugh omg same. I was so frustrated the other day because my ends are ALWAYS breaking and I don’t understand why.
I used to have the same issue. Glossing , taking biotin, and steaming my hair has really helped my hair not break, not split, and retain length.
@@tadams764 like hot steam? do you put anything special in it?
What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use and what do you put afterwards in your hair? If it keeps breaking something is going wrong. I actually did 2 big chops, one 2010 and 2015. I’ve low porosity hair and I went trough a big learning curve the way I used to treat my hair
If I had 4c hair I would have done the same, beautiful results
Thanks 😊 🥰

Your hair looks beautiful before and after. I got tired of my loose natural hair too and was thinking about either cutting it, relaxing it or getting sisterlocks. I opted for sisterlocks in the end. I have to say that you have a beautiful texture for sisterlocks, if you were to get them, you'd love it and have a beautiful and thick set of locks.
Thank you hun. Oh I know the struggle lol but just wanted mine easy to manage will do locks but not yet , love your wonderful support and comment thanks again 😍
I got sister locks ten years ago and it, best decision I ever made in my life.
Maintenance and styling are so easy, the locks grow more elegant and beautiful over time. I haven’t used a comb in 10 years and retain all of my length, never thought I would have waist length natural hair with no heat or chemicals but here I am! Best decision I ever made.
