I owned a 3000 GT VR4 1992, same color. Fun car but had issues such as clutch and my timing belt broke and messed up my engine putting it in the shop for month. Still a very fun car.
Would love to watch the whole video but I have children sitting behind me and they can listen to your music! I have this car and this video would be great.

Unbelievable the detailed work you did! Amazing. I have a 91 Dodge Stealth ES 24 valve DOHC aka 3000GT Mitsubishi manual transmission. 207,000 miles on the original deferential, I bought a used 60,000 engine from Japan in 2013, had the transmission rebuilt in 2022. I have had the car since 1993 Firestorm Red. She was a daily for 21 years now is my extra for the last 10 years. San Diego car. Still love her. Love watching you guys restore these cars.

I filed a lawsuit against a machine shop that rebuilt my engine for allowing the car to be stripped of its interior and fuel management and ECU, after they rebuilt the engine is when I stopped by to find my car stripped, so I would say do the same and re-coupe your money and time.

IV talked to them about it they act like they did nothing wrong I would have to take them to court and it's just not worth my time

You can tell it's a true resto when the bushings are replaced. No suspension in the world will mask 30yr old bushings.
Love your videos man I actually found the courage to take the engine out my vr4 to change my head gaskets, turbos and new clutch and a whole bunch more. All because you your videos. I was reaching out to you because I was able to put everything back together but the car only lasted me a month I got rod knock on one of my pistons lol Im hoping you can help me with some knowledge on what bearing I should get to replace the stock bearings I wanted to get some upgraded ones I just don't know what size to get or what to measure.
You have to have it all cleaned out and Mic it man ... That sucks .. you have to pretty much take everything to a machine shop and make sure your crank is still in spec and make sure the rods are still inspect and then have it all mic to make sure what size bearings you need and by the time you do all that you might as well start upgrading things .........

Just got Tein Flex Z coil overs with the EDFC pro coming, Installed 3rd gen lifters, and more parts are on their way, also got a scrap hood and did the evil eye mod. End of year goal is to make 500hp on the stock block while i source out another block to build 😅.

Yea a mid-engine VR4 would be sick... But it's still one of the greats just didn't get the movie time that the Supra and Skyline did I had a r32 gtr I like the vr4 more
@@huracanian3051 not really a "great" it did just "ok" in Japan also but it was called a gto. it was dominated by most even type r because of it's weight like the mitsubishi fto or "eclipse"of Japan the Evo thrived because of the power to weight ratio not movies lol

what do you use for diagnostics?
I don't really remember what this video is about but I just do process of elimination... enough experience with a certain type of car you usually can understand what's wrong... I don't have like a scan tool that will read that car if that's what you're asking

What do u mean ... You can't just go get a new one .. u can get one with low miles or you can rebuild one like I did mine 's technically all new nothing's original except for the block itself

Listen, I need help, after totally machining and rebuilding my engine and the installation, the engine dosen't crank and I don't know what they could have left disconnected, so any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Haven't checked the starter or power to it as of yet, my confidence was in the machine shop that all electronics were connected as they should be.
@@leronsolomon6399 yeah bud you have to go over all that make sure your ecu's plugged in dose the key turn on .. Like does the dash and the climate control and everything come on ?
How long did your engine rebuild take (once you took it into your own hands to do it right)?
Idk .. U could do it in 2 days for sure ... think it was like a 2/3 week For me once I got all the parts just taking my time and going over everything slowly

How much did this rebuild cost you? Looking at the exact same model w 200k miles on it for my first project car. Trying to price out a rebuild
Honestly can't even tell you if the way things are priced nowadays.... Idk 4,500 bucks ... but I have fours internals and Stage 2 cams and race bearings ..
@@huracanian3051 thanks! Some are telling me a swap for a rebuilt 6g72 or 6g74 may be a better choice assuming the transmission can handle it. If you have any thoughts let me know! Also - reading that a 74 mounts a bit taller and worried I'd need to do some work on the hood for it to fit if I went this route. Not sure if you can help w that question but looking for any advice you're willing to give. Thanks for the quick reply!
