  • The STIHL BGA 300 BATTERY BACKPACK BLOWER will be available from Autumn 2022.
STIHL’S FIRST BACKPACK CORDLESS PROFESSIONAL BLOWER
The new BGA 300 is STIHL’s first cordless backpack blower for professional users, offering high performance and a significantly less disruptive sound thanks to its innovative STIHL Noise Reduction System.
With a blowing force of 26 newton, STIHL’s new BGA 300 cordless backpack blower is the most powerful in the STIHL cordless range and features a high air speed to ensure even wet, heavy autumn leaves can be cleared quickly and efficiently. The new cordless blower is powered using STIHL’s professional AR 2000 L or AR 3000 L backpack batteries.
Thanks to the STIHL Noise Reduction System, the BGA 300 produces fewer high pitch frequencies often associated with cordless blowers, meaning operation is much more pleasant and less intrusive for bystanders. Thanks to this, the BGA 300 is well suited for use in noise-sensitive areas such as schools, parks or around public amenities.
The maximum blowing force can be selected from three power setting options via the selector switch, allowing for efficient energy management and longer runtimes. Boost mode may also be selected to provide maximum power for the toughest clearing jobs. Furthermore, the new cordless blower features an LED power display and cruise control function to enable simple energy management and comfort.
For the optimum blowing angle the BGA 300 boasts a curved nozzle as standard, and the blower tube length can easily be adjusted to meet different requirements and operating situations. A straight nozzle is also available as an accessory.
The BGA 300 is exceptionally easy to handle thanks to its slim design and comfortable carrying system that optimally distributes the weight of the backpack device and reduces the strain on the user when used for long periods.
Other features include wide feet for secure footing whilst on the ground, a hook for the blower tube for easy transport and storage, as well as compatibility with the new Smart Connector 2 A.

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

We have plenty of Stihl battery kit but, for us, the mowers and backpack blowers are still a long way off being able to replace the petrol equivalents. It's a step in the right direction.

Hi, you can attach the AR L batteries to this harness. m.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Cordless-power-systems/AP-System-Large-Gardens-Professionals/AP-System-Professional-cordless-tools/Accessories-for-professional-cordless-tools/2109239-133978/ar-l-carrying-system.aspx

Just spent an hour messing with a Stihl battery motor, magnetic blades on coils have come loose so whipped them out and hopefully it'll live a bit longer😅 Are Stihl having a backpack you can use that battery on to run other machines on from the cord or is it specifically for that blower, if that makes sense?

    Hello there! Great movie!
Do you still feel the need of wearing ear protection?
Red some of the comments, i make use of a BG 86 and a backpack blower ( chinese brand not worthy mention) and on a daily basis really enjoy using my 36 V handheld Makita blower.
It is nice they make the steps towards battery usage but i think the time of backpack battery blower with such a weight is just not yet here. And there is one more thing related to the battery usage...
The faster and deeper you discharge the battery, the sooner it will give up.
I wonder what the lifespan of a 100 time deeply discharged battery will be.
    Thanks for sharing!
    Greets from The Netherlands!

    • @TheFullyChargedGardener
      @TheFullyChargedGardener  2 роки тому +1

The key advantage it has over a petrol blower is noise. It is much quieter.
In terms of power - it can’t compete with the BR800. Runtime will also be a limiting factor for some.
But if you need to get a job done efficiently in a noise sensitive area - game changer 👍

Also the blowing force is only 26N and an echo 9010t is like 48N and you can buy an 9010t for like $629. So, it doesn't make sense to lose efficiency and pay 4 times the amount of money for the blower.

These battery power stuff is a waste of money. Not to mention worse on the environment but ppl just don’t see it. The material it takes to make batteries the energy and fuel it takes to charge, each time you charge the battery loses its optimal charge and after they are junk they become landfill!! Doing lawn care with them is a waste as well.
