- James takes a look at the brand new EGO LBP8000E Backpack leaf blower! He compares it to the current EGO LB6000E backpack model to see what the main differences are, between the two blowers? Watch to find out!
The LBP8000E Backpack leaf blower
Our first leaf blower to feature Peak Power™ technology for longer runtimes and greater blowing force. With two battery ports this blower can combine the power of any two ARC Lithium™ batteries. The ergonomically designed handle houses the speed trigger and trigger lock as well as an LCD display screen showing real time operating status and battery fuel gauge. The LBP8000E also has a large motor which means high volumes of air and speed.

@Egopowerplus
Loved this short video. I'm sold on the next and obviously leaf blower to buy. Thanks for showing the power of electric blowers💪
looks like you enjoyed using the twin battery one James, EGO are doing some great gear , thanks for the demonstration 👍
A great video James, can't wait to get my hands on the dual battery blower. Cheers!
Thank you Garrett 🤩
As soon as I saw the blowers, I thought storm trooper. 5 minutes later your being a storm trooper! Nice bits of kit
I will admit, I enjoyed being a storm trooper Al 😂😂
Nice video ! Great music for grass leaf blowing !! Thank you this helps!!
It's good to see Ego finally coming out with a new backpack blower but I want to see something that can compete with a good gas backpack blower. With 26N of blowing force, it's not even remotely close to the 48N an 80cc gas blower produces.
My neighbor just bought a ego back pack blower than is 800 cfm. It is almost as powerful as my husqvarna top model blower.
@@americandude3825 Husqvarna’s top model puts out 40N of blowing force. Echo has one that does 48N. This Ego can only do about 26N, so they have quite a ways to go to even come close. I have the Ego handheld 765 and their original backpack blowers, and they are no match for my 580BTS, not even close.
@@JustEnjoyingLife73I agree with this I have 2 older shindaiwa commercial blowers that are around 80cc. It is around 700CFM and 210MPH, which by spec is 100 CFM less than this EGO, but blowing force is much higher. I can literally cut a path 20 to 30 feet deep in leaves standing in 1 spot. It is so powerful it can blow a brick further than he's blowing the leaves right now. I also cant believe how no one is talking about the elephant in the room and that is a 6amp hour replacement battery is $350 at lowes. That is crazy. 2 batteries would be 700! I could go out and buy a brand new echo 9010t for less than that and it has 48N of blowing power. After 1 year of use commercially those batteries are going to be shot too and not hold as long of a charge. No thank you I will stick with my gas powered equipment.
I have an Echo 9010T and it will run circles around this EGO backpack all day. I also have a Redmax ebz 8500 that makes the EGO look like a kids toy. The EGO in the video blowing wet leaves looked like Redmax at half throttle or less.
What is the most cfm that a gas blower have?
I guess I need to upgrade from the single battery backpack! 😂
in this test the twin pack blower notice it has a thrust cone witch gives you more thrust and the single has no thrust cone so the result is bogus
Nice One James Thanks again
Thank you Darren 👍🏼
40 mins runtime on two brand new 10Ah batteries, and of course it goes down from there.
After about a year it’s down to just over 30 mins.
Where'd you get that math?
Why didn't you use the same narrow attachment with both blowers?
When pushing cart if you would hold blower lower it will get better results, yes double battery sure winner
Is that two 12 ah batteries? Thats like $1000 in batteries alone. I have a small electric lawncare service and I've used every ego blower from the 480cfm to the 650cfm and I like them, but I had to buy a gas Stihl BR600 backpack blower for fall clean ups. My main push mower is an 8 year old EGO 20 inch push. Currently favoring my Greenworks Commercial 82 volt second gen line trimmer as my main trimmer.
I had two 10Ah in it. But you can put any size in and different sizes in each side.
Assuming this is just two of the same battery rather than two seperate designs?
Can the twin set up work with just one or does it always need to run two?
Thanks
Yes it can work with 1 or 2 and be different size batteries.
EGO have done it again...now which one do I buy.🤔🤔🤔
Haha, thanks Mark 💪🏼
Needs 4 or 5 batteries I want to see it compete with petrol blowers
I didn't no those leaves at the end were wet
How does the weight feel on your back with 2 large batteries? My 650 handheld with a 7.5ah gets hard on the arm after awhile.
Surprisingly good Andy, I also featured this blower in a video a couple weeks ago and I mention that I could run a marathon with it on 😅 maybe not but it was ok ahah
Looks amazing, do you happen to know of hand what the cfm rating is on turbo?
800CFM 🤩
Well blow me away ego have done it again 😜
They certain have. They are a breeze to use 🤦🏻♂️
The distance test isn't really representative. Once the wheels break through friction with the ground, movement is substantially easier.
The difference in power needed between rolling 10 inches and 10 feet really isn't that big of a gap
Yeah, we just make it up as we go along. Not to much science involved 😂
At 2:20 you look like one of the Ghostbusters. 🤣👊
Not gonna lie… I enjoyed that bit 😂😂
🤣 I had the sneaky suspicion you did. 👍
Tell us about the time of the double batteries
Will have to in another video 👍🏼
$1300 usd for this with the bigger batteries this is why gas will always be used looks awesome though
But... Is it better than the br800?
Now that is the question of all questions 😎
isn't the br 800 like 900cfm or something and ehco backpack goes up to 1100cfm or something
this only for the UK ? where to buy
Why cant you have one that allows left handed people to use one as in people with only a left hand
What waterproof rating has it got
I don’t know the exact rating but at a guess IPX4 or 5
any place to buy this in the united states?
Runtime??
Haven’t tested that yet Joshua 👍🏼
No it's not mate. Those blowers are terrible
2:18
2 handhelds will put out more airflow than this backpack.
