4:15 The Clone Wars Movie takes place in 22 BBY (Same year as Attack of the Clones) set during the early stages of The Clone Wars. The show itself spans the three-year time period between Attack of the Clones (22 BBY) and Revenge of the Sith (19 BBY) showcasing the evolution of the conflict, remember Attack of the Clones ended with the beginning of The Clone Wars while Revenge of the Sith started during the final stages of the conflict so we as a viewer missed everything in between. It would like a history student starting with the Invasion of Poland in 1939 and then jumping to Operation Overlord, Battle of Normandy in 1944, Battle of Berlin in 1945, and of course the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki later that same year. You pretty much have skipped most of the war, so with The Clone Wars movie and TV show they showcase the years the films left out. BBY - Before Battle of Yavin (A New Hope) It's similar to BC, Before Christ. For example 200 BC would be 200 years before Jesus. So the Clone Wars movie is set during 22 BBY, 22 years before Luke Skywalker blew up the Death Star during the events of A New Hope. The Clone Wars TV show spans 22 BBY to 19 BBY. Luke was born in 19 BBY who by the time of A New Hope is 19 years of age.
@@waffleox Well if Don reads this I’ll explain it for him lol. ABY and BBY is the calendar system for the Star Wars Universe. BBY means (Before the Battle of Yavin). The Battle of Yavin is the final battle of Episode 4 in the Death Star bombing run. It’s a pivotal war in the franchise so that’s why it’s picked specifically. And ABY means (After the Battle of Yavin). So everything that takes place after 4.
@@waffleox Just for anyone reading this who also doesn't know what ABY and BBY stands for. BBY stands for (Before the Battle of Yavin) while ABY stands for (After the Battle of Yavin). Yes, the same battle over Yavin IV in Episode 4: A New Hope.
So to answer some of Don's big Q's: Ahsoka's age = 14, not the drinking age lol What is Ahsoka? = Togruta Why's Jabba got so much clout? = The Hutt's are a very old, influential and rich family, REALLY RICH.
The movie wasn't the best start but it was the spark that launched the series. Over time it became very beloved. So for the main series there is a specific watch order for the episodes that you'll need to look up on the internet. Sometimes you'll start one arc and then see a continuation or past events of the arc a season later. Season 1 to 3 were pretty weird with how they handled the timeline of the episodes.
You can think of Jabba as more or less the Galactic “Godfather”. He’s got lots of friends people really don’t want to be on the bad side of. The Republic deals with the Hutt Cartel because Jabba and his friends hold enough influence that pissing them off means starting a war on a second front
This takes place between episodes 2 and 3 - Attack of The Clones and Revenge of The Sith. The Clone Wars showcases the most important battles that took place between those movies. It also does a fantastic job with expanding every single character beyond what any of the movies ever did.
To answer your question about rotation : a rotation of a planet on itself is a day, a revolution (or rotation of a planet around the sun is a year). And they use the term "rotation" to not mix up a day with 24h since every planet have their own rotation speed and thus their own day length. Also a little trivia : the length of a day and a year on Coruscant is the same as Earth's.
This takes place in between attack of the clones, and revenge of the sith, if you remember the start of the ROTS, it was the end of the clone wars. The whole series is awesome and adds so much character depth to everyone
The reason why the Hutt species are feared is because way back when (long before the movies), the Hutts were an incredibly powerful empire who conquered a ton of planets. While they have since lost their military, they still hold a ton of wealth and influence in the criminal underworld, like how Tatooine (Anakin and Luke's homeworld), is loosely controlled by Jabba despite the Imperial stormtroopers patrolling the region. Also some races like the Weequay are still under control of the Hutts, which is why you'll see so many Weequay criminals.
clone wars is mostly between ep 2 and 3 of the movies. also the whole hutt family r rich af crime lords who rule over a large chunk of the galaxy hence their power. finally star wars do have comics and novels and lego specials and a lego series and many many games and vr games
I strongly recommend you to watch the series in chronological order that is on official Star Wars page. Because there are episodes made later and it fits with events that happened sooner. It would confuse you easily.
Rex is an ARC trooper, which is to say, the best single soldiers the Kaminoans created. Ahsoka is to become one of the best characters you will come to love in Star Wars. Asajj didn't get enough love
From what I gather different planetary systems would orbit around their own stars/sun at different spaces and time so they would most likely use one standard system of time to indicate when to do specific tasks
Dude if you’re ever to read a comment from me let it be this one you’ll love!!!! The TV show it’s one of the BEST!!!! Media in the Star Wars universe some episodes are a little “slow” but for the most part every single one has an impact on how the movies take place and you’ll really get to see the bond of Anakin with Obi seeing him go from this pure Jedi to his more aggressive advanced version of himself showing little to no remorse towards his actions and don’t even get me started on the fantastic arc of Anakin’s student!! Truly a masterpiece of its time (Rebels also rocks tho!)
This is in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The crazy thing is the fans hated Ahsoka when this was first released but during the Clone Wars series she became a fan favourite as she gets older. Ahsoka is a Tagruta and she's about 14 at the beginning. The Hutts run the criminal underworld in the outer rim territories and hold great power. Dooku's Sith apprentice is Asajj Ventres and she's a total bad ass.
Jabba is powerful because of his mind and of his old family name. His family owns a lot of planets, runs a crime syndicate. He´s the head of that syndicate.
1 planetary rotation means the planet spins around it's axis 1 time. Yes, every planet has a day, but not all days on all plantets are 24 hours long. For instance, 1 day on Mercury, the first planet in our solar system, is 59 days on Earth
1:20 Yep. Both alive. This movie takes place a few months after Episode 2 and Anakin is a Jedi Knight. 14:11 At the time of the movie- 14. At the time of the Clone Wars Finale 17-18. 14:16 She is a Torgruta. Like Shaak Ti is. AsajjVentress is a Sith Assasin much like Maul was. Except never had the Darth title like he did as is basically only an apprentice who uses the dark side, but not the deeper mysteries or philosophy. She was in the comics and in the og Clone Wars micro series
Great reaction! 😊 I'm so excited that you're diving into the "Clone Wars" beginning with the movie. As for the series, you're in for an exciting ride. Just be sure to watch it in chronological order. It's easier to follow that way. 4:15 This movie takes place shortly after "Episode 2: Attack of the Clones". Some of the voices are done by their movie actors: Samuel L. Jackson is back to voice Mace Windu, Christopher Lee(RIP always) is back to voice Count Dooku, and Anthony Daniels returns to voice C-3PO. And it's the introduction of Ahsoka Tano. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
Great reaction! Also some context about the Hutts. The Hutts have a Cartel much like the Mexican cartel except the hutts control a large area of space in the outer rims. Every Hutt on some level is involved in some crime organizations, black market ,etc. it’s also why no one really messes with them except other crime organizations like the Pike Syndicate ( which control spice) , or the Black Sun .
I remember my mom bought me this movie on DVD and this shit literally sparked my love for Star Wars. The clone wars series is undoubtedly the best content Star Wars has to offer.
It's no wonder Ahsoka was assigned to Anakin. She's just as wild as him. No one else would be able to handle her, and no other padawan would be a good fit for Ani either.
1. The Clone Wars takes place after 2 and before 3. 2. The series isn't in chronological order. You'll have some episodes that happened before this movie for example. So you might want to look up a chronological watch list if interested. Which you should be cause its probably one of the best animation series. Up there with Avatar and some animes. 3. There is an ahsoka series that happens years after episode 6, so after vadar and luke
Jabba is a gangster and his family have been gangsters for millennia so he was kinda born into it and because of that he is at the top of the most powerful criminal organization of the galaxy
As someone who grew up the Clone Wars YES watch it. Well in german but still watched it. I can say it is...Anakin learning about himself...let's call it that :"D Don't wanna spoil...

Be warned on 1 aspect of the Clone Wars Show. It is not 100% in chronological order. Its not too bad just means there will be episodes that air later that deal with events that happened prior, some episodes even take place b4 this movie 😅. Either wah the show is a solid 10/10
PLS Watch in release order, don't try and jump around for chronological order, cause that's only for pro's. You might get a *little* confused with release order, but just go with it. The movie you just watched 4. S3 ep. 1 5. S3 ep. 3 6. S1 ep. 1 - 15 7. S1 ep. 17 - 21 8. S2 ep. 1 - 3 9. S2 ep. 17 - 19 10. S2 ep. 4 - 14 11. S2 ep. 20 - 22 12. S3 ep. 5 - 7 13. S3 ep. 2 14. S3 ep. 4 15. S3 ep. 8 16. S1 ep. 22 17. S3 ep. 9 - 11 18. S2 ep. 15 19. S3 ep. 12 - 22 20. All of Season 4 (ep. 1 - 22) 21. S5 ep. 2 - 13 22. S5 ep. 1 23. S5 ep. 14 - 20 24. All of Season 6 (ep. 1 - 13) 25. S7 ep. 5 - 8 26. S7 ep. 1 - 4 27. S7 ep. 9 - 12 If you decide to not go in chronological order than that’s fine the show is still great if watched by release order.
