The romance of that Range Rover is what I love about cars. It doesn’t matter how fast it goes or how reliable it is. It’s how it makes you feel to be behind the wheel
I feel the same way with my 95 defender 110, minus the reliability part because it has wildly been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned!
The "romance" flys out the window when you are stuck in a very isolated spot without a reliable vehical...should of bought a Landcruiser
@@fathomtheundertaker4356 ,, I second your comment.
We used to have a phrase from years ago..
" Chrome don't get you home,, but you sure look good broke down on the side of the road "...
End of story!!!
@@fathomtheundertaker4356 typical toyota owner nonsense. You belong in the same category as the pathfinder conspiracy
@@FPVsean Agreed. Why do Toyota owners always feel the need to troll on those who drive Land Rovers or Jeeps. We get it, your vehicles have a reputation.
I've still towed a couple of Toyota Tundra owners with engine electrical failure with my Ram 1500.
The original Range Rover is still one of the best sounding 4WD's. I used to love the sound of mine.
I grew up in them. When he whacked it in reverse to get moving in the dunes i was back in them. Nearly called my brother over to listen. The gearbox whine in reverse is unmistakably RR
I love that you haven't gone to either of the extremes a lot of Range Rovers tend to go: your Rangie isn't a pristine example meant to never do any real work, but it also isn't getting smashed to pieces being rock crawled and having the arse cut off to make a bobtail.
This is exactly how a Range Rover was meant to be.
(The troopy is looking great too)
I know the feeling - when you park your car, walk away, turn around just to have a look at it & smile.
Bloody boguns! Tearing up the beach in their 50 year old Range Rovers!
Nice to see how well optimised the old RRCs approach/departure angles are, without the need to fit aftermarket bumpers to improve things.
Also strange to see how small the RRC looks compared to a more modern 4x4.
I think you mean Bogans.
But it's close enough. 😉
They worked.....so far ahead of their time! The others tried to copy it but n
The best part of the video is just seeing you smile. Right there, that’s what it’s all about.
The Rangie was the coolest by far!
just watching that took me back to my 76 classic i had in the 80s . awesome
Great piece of filming. The RR steels the show. Still fits in the scenery. Still belongs there. Timeless piece of human ingenuity. Did I say it was a beautiful 20 minutes of video? It was!
Beautiful landscapes, great 4WDs, and some "local talent". It's all here, thanks for sharing Andrew.
Nothing beats the V8 burble from the Classic Rangie. Super jealous. Well done Andrew.
it sure sounds good
One of the most enjoyable episodes from you Andrew.
Enjoyed the music and drone shots.
Inspiring video to get your 4wd out
Perhaps your most beautiful short film. Fantastic cinematography in this one, Andrew!
I appreciated the extra smiles in this upload, looks good on you, congratulations on getting to this point, absolutely terrific!
There is nothing more beautiful than a Range Rover classic on asphalt, dirt, sand, or any type of terrain. What I wouldn’t give to have any of the ones that I left when I move back to the United States, back with me right now
Just loving this car - mine is a bit younger, but still such a lovely and capable car from 1982. They are astonishingly beautiful.
Loving that Range Rover Classic. Brings back alot of memories. Great filming in those dunes. If I can find a good one here in Bolivia I might have to buy one.
4:33 Andrew is a man of culture
Wonderful to see the old girl still going strong.
That Rangie is plain gorgeous. You can tell you enjoy driving her, you have a big grin in your face when you drive.
Only complain, the music was a bit too loud in some segments.
The Range Rover still looks good I've always liked the older four-wheel drives the real beauty of old four-wheel drives is you can fix them without a computer degree and £10000 worth of equipment keep up the great content
That Rangie is such a beautiful car. Despite it’s quirks, i would have that over any new 4x4 any day, just to have it. Just to be able to look at it whenever i want. Love it. Thanx Andrew.
please reconsider pressing in new wheel studs to go tubeless. You got stuck a lot compared to your usual. More tire pressure control + no tube rubbing = much better safety and easier travel on your long journey. Just my 2¢, best of luck regardless!
+1 on this, just makes sense and is an easy job
How do you repair a puncture with a tube? You have to take the tire off?
@@mark2073 like a push bike
I agree, it will be a much more pleasant trip tubeless and with the lower pressure much less stressful for the old girl (& Andrew 😂)
Man becoming boys again.
Nice filming, and I saw your smile ear to ear throughout the video.
Like it, like it a lot
No words can explain your smile when driving the Land Rover on the dunes. Thanks for a great content as always
Something we noticed while running lower pressures over extended distances was the inner tube has a tendency to slip/rotate inside the tire.
The remedy was to swap the tires left side to right side so the tubes would rotate back the other way again.
I think you’re fighting an uphill battle with those steelies Andrew… I appreciate you’re doing a shake down but fitting the right length wheel studs is the correct remedy.
Having watched a bit more of the video… those tire pressures still looked high and the RR was struggling in the soft stuff.
Amazing video! Long live the Range Rover Classic! There is no other vehicle that will give that feeling! 👌🏻
The best video EVER…first time I backed up the video a number of times, specifically around the 4:35 mark!
There’s just something about the 2 door classic..the sound..looks great in the dunes
What a lovely RR, stirring up many memories of the few trips I did with one in the late 80's!
But Andrew. You've built some good-looking rigs in the past, but this Troopy, oh boy, it just takes the cake!!
Well done. Can't wait to see more of it.
That Rangie is something else! In a way it's sad that today's Range Rovers will likely never be used like this... Well done for preserving a piece of history!
greetings from kenya 🇰🇪 .. smh oh boy ooh boy this is amazing content .. congratulations on bringing this whole video together .. I really enjoyed it and it was worth the wait .. I saw it recently but elected to wait until I had the perfect environment and conditions to watch it .. no regrets it was quite the treat ..
the music .. the drone shots .. the beach .. the camaraderie between you guys and the RRC and the troopy .. mein oh mein ! they look absolutely fantastic I wouldn't know which one to pick smh it is insane !
anyway .. hand on heart your doing a great job .. again the troopy looks epic and the RRC ( ooh my goodness ! ) words fail me .. really though this is fantastic content
I think. Of aaaaaaaaaall your videos. I’ve never never never seen you smiling that much. Really satisfying to see you enjoying.
Great filming, Great Soundtrack, Great Vehicles...What more can the viewer want!
Great video Andrew. That's what I've been waiting for. Time to get out and about. Love the Range Rover. Such clean lines. Elegant.
Man the Troopy looks nice and so does the Land Rover there both beautiful looking 4wd's
You know what Andrew? Toyota might be a more reliable off roader, but ever since I watch your vieos I've never seen you so happy as in the RRC. I think this is what LR are all about. There might be better 4x4 but not a single one, that is more fun! Way 2 go! 🙂
It is awesome to see you smile and laugh
The Range Rover has style in a way a modern never can
As always Andrew. Amazing content. Just heaven seeing two of my favourite cars in my favourite off road environment.
Thanks for the experience, might take the classic to the white sandy dunes later in the year
Coolest looking troopy ive seen. The wrap turned out amazing, the bull bar looks so good, it all ties in so well. Cant wait to see the inside reveal.
Soo good seeing how happy the RR makes you to
This videos, showing how much calculated are you as a person and also wanting to have fun, are very enjoyable
It's great to see you go out and have some fun. That FJ looks really nice but the Troopy is just brilliant. I have a modified Jimny JB74 and these larger vehicles are quite intimidating but also so beautiful. Nice video, sir!
Excellent video. Great music too.
Excellent and very enjoyable publication Andrew. The contemporary music also freshened it up! Thank you for making my morning coffee just that much more special. Also nice to see you having some fun, always nice to get out with the boys and have a break. Cheers and God bless your friends Mike and Carolyn in Canada. 🙏🍻
You did it again Andrew!
2 beautiful rigs. Really enjoyed this one.
Can't wait to see their journeys unfold
The smiles say it all.
awesome seeing the range rover did not overheat
You’ve nailed it. Way too much over thinking about getting off the bitumen. Over engineering the experiences. It’s about having fun. Nice to see you have fun again.
Great to see the classic back in its true element, (not the urban environment).
Loved seeing both of your beauties together.
The Range-rover certainly is lovely looking car, Classic good looks
It is always good to see someone enjoying the fruits of their labor and indulging in their passion. That's what makes life enjoyable. I hope to hit the UAE dunes when my truck is up and ready and has got its lift kit installed. Seeing Andrew hit the dunes in the Range Rover is like watching someone return home after a long journey.
Brilliant video Andrew amazing footage at the dunes and the drone shots were great to, i really liked the music choice, i think you brought the 2 best off roaders , I love the Troopy , the old Range Rover just makes me think of an uncle and teacher of mine, each of them had that same sort of smile you had on your face, just utter enjoyment, I still think putting in longer studs and the other wheels would be the most reliable thing to do for the CSR trip, just my opinion , it is your adventure not mine, i look for ward to the CSR series in the future , is Paul Marsh going with you on this one, thx again 👍
Good on you Andrew, nice to see you having fun mate.
My heart skips a beat everytime I see a well prepared or maintained Troopy. ❤️
Just love old machines doing what they were made for, and doing it well.
Great to see some off road driving for a change 👍
Nothing beats the looks of the original 2 door Range Rover.
That beach is incredible. Really good to see all the different trucks and how they all perform side by side
Love this content! I've not had the time to watch alot lately, but loved this video! And I see you brought back the old intro song, +++. Guess I'm here for the "action", so seing you guys driving with multiple, whole different rigs was just great
Great video. The RR Classic looks great, and performs even better.
It’s probabably our dream. To drive our dream classic. And at the same time, looking in the distance your other dream car. 🤤
Stunning scenery and camera work. That rangey is something very special. Love the Troopy too. You’re a lucky man ASPW.
The smile on your dial says it all Andrew 😎👍
One of your best videos ever!! Simply fantastic!!
Nice to see your happy face and enthusiasm.
Lots of us can relate to the affection we have for our rigs. I enjoyed the video.
Great video, cool looking trip. All the best to you from the far North!
I totally love this! The joy the fun! Andrew you have excelled
Outstanding! Thank you. Troopy looks incredible!
Andrew! I could see your throttle control by watching what the wheels were doing in one of the scenes of you in the dunes. Spot on and incredible what years of bush travel will teach you.
Ripper vid. Can’t beat old girls off-road! Good to see you having some fun. Take care
It was soooo nice to watch! Well Andrew and thank you sir!
Love the colour you've chosen for the troopy, and those Classic's are just amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed it Andrew. Loved the music as well. Wished it was longer. ThankYou for sharing.
Great group, looks like a lot of fun. Awesome video!
Oh man, this is perfect timing - been eager for more UA-cam footage of FJ Cruisers! This is also the vehicle from Dahl's Modified 4x4 series, which I was originally inspired by towards FJ's.
Its about time you went 4wing! :D
What a kids smile this car has put on you. Keep enjoying it
Oh Andrew, the Rangie is just stunning. Beautiful. Well done.
Andrew, please normalize your audio across the whole video. I’m constantly having to adjust my own volume to compensate.
My friend had a used 88 range rover classic back in the day. And it was awesome cruising around in that thing. It just felt special. And we were just out of high school. Good times.
Many thanks to Sheikh Hamad and the crew at Offroad Museum for sponsoring this awesome project! Great video as always sir!
The music was so appropriate. Was smiling all through thevideo. Lucky Humans! Good Stuff.
So nice to hear music on this vid.. nice touch. All the very best for the canning stock
So good, looks like incredible fun!
Pure enjoyment right there. Loved seeing the old Range Rover used as intended 👌🏼
The troopy is really cool! Came well in the end
Andrew, love the old Rangie at work. Doing what it should. Love the gear whine and the meaty bellow of the glorious V8. Please do more vids like this. I have extremely fond memories of the old Rangie's sounds. The reverse gear whine.....oh wow...
Hope to see you around on the street one day....we've got the t-shirts but love to see the old girl in the flesh....great work...
Looks like you were all enjoying the outing so the film was fun to watch. Shows a trip doesn't need to be epic to make good content. And I'm no fan of 70 series but that troopy looks fantastic. That roof tent would be worth it for the aesthetic alone the way it fixes the normally goofy troopy roofline.
That troopy is so gorgeous that once I saw it, I took a screenshot! Really beautiful, Andrew. Good job!
Same here
Great fun.
I'm not at all surprised that when you were in the Rangie, you were allways smilling, even when stuck on the sand.
ta ta
I think the old girl did herself proud! 🇬🇧
And we are doing the 1600km Canning Stock Route in the Range Rover, in June. Join us for that.
Once you upload videos of classic Range Rover you rating goes crazzy .. love it more of classic Range
“Time to find a campsite” the timing of that comment in editing was comedy gold. Thanks for another great video mate.
This video is really enjoying to watch
This was unexpected to see. I quite enjoyed it and it looks like Andrew had a blast.
The only time I can remember seeing Andrew play on the dunes was 8 years ago when he drove the FJ Cruiser in Atlantis Dunes.
It would be nice to see more content similar to this with the gang together.
Please correct me if I'm wrong you 4x4 guys. Serious auxiliary lamps were developed for rally cars, e.g. a long throw pencil beam & secondary broad wash for high speed at night. Examples Cibie Oscar, Lucas 20-20 etc. Offroading at night you need an even flood of light to illuminate the track ahead.
Beautiful filming, the perfect music and top of all....the Range Rover.Peter from 🇧🇪 Belgium.
