I will be going fabric shopping in the NYC fabric district with my new daughter-in-law in a month or so to pick fabrics and lace for her reception ensemble. Wish us luck!
Ahhh April! I love all the fabrics you picked out! I cannot wait to see the final result! It's going to be beautiful! Thank you for sharing your design journey with us!
I love all your lace choices! Can’t wait to see more of this series. I haven’t sewn often in the last few years but I’m always inspired by your videos to pick it up again.
Love the lace, it is my favorite type. I love re embroidered Alencon lace. So, I await the outcome with joyful anticipation. You will look like you are frosted with sparkle and clouds.
What a great surprise! Didn’t know you were going to do this series. It’s my favorite kind. REALLY start to finish. Can’t wait. Also, so glad you’re getting to have your big celebration!
You are so good with your drawing. I was very nervous about my drawing. I finally put together a drawing that I copied again and again. This was about 50 years ago.
I went to Journal a couple weeks ago when I visited LA and Ray was so nice and helpful. I went back twice 🤣! I'm excited to see your dress come together.
I'm so excited to see! Hope you have/had so much fun! You made such beautiful choices! It would be cool at the end if you could make a 'bridal' mask out of all the scraps and some non woven interfacing just to see how gorgeous you could make it!
I love your hair. I think I was looking at it the whole time. I'm am also super excited that you're making your own dress again. Seems like a challenge with all that lace. But I know you got this. Looking forward to the finished product.
I've always thought one day I would make my own wedding dress 👰 using pieces of fabric from my mother dress to make it special but I've never thought my sewing abilities were at the level.... who knows maybe one day when the time comes they will be x thank you for this video 🥰😊❤
April, would you ever make a video sharing your learning journey from a beginning seamstress to where you are at now? Like, detailing how you approached learning all these different design concepts and sewing skills and what that process was like? I would love to hear your story about how you made that journey! Unless you already made that video and I missed it 😅.
That fabric shop - OH WOW! I wish we had such fabulous fabric & haberdashery stores like that here in Australia. Never seen one even remotely close to that. It's an Aladdin's cave! I'd love to work in such a place & be surrounded by such wonderful bolts of fabric, etc. It sent my head spinning. It's what I dream about. Fabric stores here are quite rare, esp family run ones. They are small AND expensive. Australia is a foodie & cook's paradise, but unfortunately a sewer's desert. Not much choice here at all. So unaffordable too.
When she said “My designs are constantly changing”, that’s so me, i was thinking that I’m the only person who’s final design is way more different than the planned design 😂
Oh I wish I could do some more fabric shopping right now. I think I spent a little too much on fabric last month lol Love the fabrics you chose and can't wait to see the final products. Also, i love watching your vids because they inspire me to do new fashion vids as well. Thank you!
My ex bf lives near flower st in dtla and so whenever I see him we go fabric shopping in the fashion district. I’m going to go to that store and say hi to Ray!
Hi April ! 💕 What a great project, I am myself a French sewing UA-camr and just posted 2 videos about my wedding dress making which looks a lot like your inspiration designs ! The videos are in French but maybe they could be interesting in any way 😃 kisses from France Raphaelle
I remember searching for lace in my fabric district a I couldn't find a black beaded lace that was black butterflies and not just embroidery for my graduation ball gown (spoiler alert: the ball was cancelled due to the pandemic) and I really wanted to look like a queen since my design is a black or royal purple velvet ball gown with beaded black lace along the hemline and a white silk hairbow with black lace to give me a "good girl does wicked" vibe but I decided to take a break from it since I know that they might have something else next time.
Does anybody know the pricings of these fabrics. I want to get into sewing but it seems buying fabric costs more than just buying a dress from a fast fashion store.
Hi April, put portuguese subtitles in your videos please, love your videos but i don't understand very well what you say (I translated this comment on google) lol

Kathy made my prom dress, she told me about your channel! I’m a designer too but she really inspired me a lot, she is great! Love your content 💙
Journal Fabric is my favorite store. I love Ray, he gives the best hugs and has the most beautiful fabric.
I loved shopping for bridal fabric with my daughter! My greatest joy was being able to design and sew her wedding dress!
Awwwww love that so much!
I'm 3 weeks into making my wedding dress so this is so exciting to watch. You inspired me to start sewing 4 years ago :)

Each individual piece is stunning on its own, I can't wait to see your final design!
Eric is ride or die sticking with you on all the fabric shopping! My fiance would have never stick it out lol
He truly is 😭 he does love when he spots a chair though 😂
@@coolirpa lol that's totally fair! I CAN'T WAIT for the next part of this video!!!
Kathy is the fairy Godmother we all deserve❤.
Saying this because i had some great mentors in my life.
Lace gloves or detached flare sleeves would be a fun accessory to make with the extra lace! Would look so glam in photos :)
I seriously can't wait for more!!
Love the lace, it is my favorite type. I love re embroidered Alencon lace. So, I await the outcome with joyful anticipation. You will look like you are frosted with sparkle and clouds.
Looking forward to the next part 😊

I love your dress design and the fabrics you picked out! I have so much respect for anyone who makes their own wedding dresses. It looks so difficult!

the dress is gonna so gorgeous!!
I LOVE all the lace and everything else, you are amazing 👏 💗 💕
With the extra fabric of the third lace, you could make the removable train.
Yeah or matching thing for your flowergirl?
With the extra extra fabric from the third lace choice you could make the detachable train and maybe even a face mask just my thoughts
I can't wait to see this. you always come up with such nice designs
They are so pretty! I can't wait to see everything together 🙂
Can't wait to watch it turn out.
The lace haul at 5:18 looks so nice. Great video
I’m excited!!!
Nice tips from your mentor! Look forward to see what you come up with!
Am eager waiting for your tutorial
Thank you for clarifying
The some of the second lace fabric looks like it can be used for the sleeves/straps/back.

Is that skirt fabric called Bengaline? I've used bengaline before and it's really lovely to use and comfortable to wear!
I thought you stitch well but you also draw very well
Super👍👍
Loving your top, I was hoping you would stand up when you were changing your sitting position
It’s from my Walmart transformation video. You can find it on my channel
