This was a great video Nick but can you please make a video that will take us from draping to making a paper pattern to cutting and sewing the bodice. I am learning how to sew on my own. I cannot afford fashion school. UA-cam is the place for low income people to go to. Continue showing us what you know, you have been an enormous help, thank you.
You make this look so simple! I walk away thinking, Yes, I can do this. And I more or less, can. Knowing bodice draping helps so much with fitting a piece, as well. Thank you, Nick.
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. I just applied to Fashion School yesterday. I got in! I definitely want to thank you for playing a role in my life with all of your videos!
Smooth as if you are caressing the body is what went through my mind Nick as you were talking. I am really enjoying watching and listening to your various video's because apart from being very funny(sorry, but you are) you are really clever and know what you are talking about. Thank you Nick for another intuitive video. Crafty hugs from Norah, Central Scotland
Please do a new prom dress sew along 🙏 the first one was amazing & I’ve made the same dress which turned out beautiful ! Or maybe do a wedding dress or a ball gown , I think we learn so much more by completing a whole project
Hi nick verros!Im currently 10 years old right now im editing this when I finally go to my dreams which is be a fashion designer you are my true inspiration thank you for everything!Stay safe and post soon I love you!♥️
Thank you so much for your videos. As a fashion design student I have invested a lot into books on draping and pattern drafting, but I always go to your videos because they're just the best! I appreciate the hard work that goes into them.
I missed you, Nick! More darts, please. Side darts. Shoulder darts. And those infamous double darts (giving you 4 along the blouse bottom) like in vintage dresses. Please, Stay well!
I am your new fan. You explain in a fun and understandable way the making of basic bodice it is looks so easy. But what about the back side of the bodice?
Nick - I really like your tutorials, they are easy to follow and you simplify things; I like that. Can you create a video how to sew with "Moulage"/"French Drafting" patterns? Would greatly appreciate it as I am sure many others would as well. :-) P.S. Keep in mind many of us do not have a mannequin.
Hello Nick, love your videos I had a query , can we simply create a garment by this form , I mean having pattern from mannequin directly ? Without drafting partten without measurement?
I am a new fan and your video are very nice . I request you sir can you please cut the pattern of brown paper ya white paper after draping because I little bit confused . please sir🙏
I don't have a dress form. Or a sewing machine yet. But feel ready to drape! Although i don't really get the purpose of it - do you draft pattern pieces from it?
Hello Nick I have been sewing for a while but I want to know the difference between draping to sew a garment than buying a pattern and making that garment
I have a question. I see people drape in the final fabric all the time. Once draped, how do you get it off the dress form and sewn without messing it up?
Hi Nick I drape and teach this method of draping the bodice, but I was always taught to take a pinch at the armhole and the waist for ease. Is that not necessary?
This is pretty good, i might send this to my students because i just KNOW they will forget my entire lecture 😂. But omg everyone please don't teach using a sharpie!! especially with newb drapers that ink goes straight through to the form. I know it shows up well on videos, but i dunno, maybe a soft pencil instead?
Thanks nick please could you please tell me we’re I could fine a dress form I but one only go to sized 14 sad to said do to taking steroids for hazma I gained a lot of weight I have been looking for a size bigger w no look I love to sew and I watch all yours shows you R amazing please let me know love you

I have a question. I see people drape in the final fabric all the time. Once draped, how do you get it off the dress form and sewn without messing it up?
Thanks for clarity
Hi Nick I drape and teach this method of draping the bodice, but I was always taught to take a pinch at the armhole and the waist for ease. Is that not necessary?
Yes same here
The ease is necessary if you wanna add a sleeve. For a sleeveless garment you don't need to do it, it would create a little gap...Imo...
After drape what is next step?
This is pretty good, i might send this to my students because i just KNOW they will forget my entire lecture 😂.
But omg everyone please don't teach using a sharpie!! especially with newb drapers that ink goes straight through to the form. I know it shows up well on videos, but i dunno, maybe a soft pencil instead?
