My brother is travelling with the military and he said Slovakia is the most beautiful country he has every seen. I can't wait to visit. Definitely doing a food tour!
Wow...every food tour of yours I've watched has made me hungry! You guys are so great at conveying the enjoyment of the experiences! Liver in many forms is a big thing especially in Eastern Europe. I've always loved liver pate particularly. Mushrooms are like a separate food group - the locals gather them and preserve them for the long winter months, as well as eat them fresh. I don't think there is a country in that part of the world that doesn't have some sort of cabbage specialty, whether in the form of "sauerkraut," fresh or otherwise. And the blueberry brandy at the beginning looked awesome. Great job, and what a wonderful destination!
She was such a great guide! Im from bratislava and i didnt even know some of these places existed there! Great experience, truly Slovak and not touristy!
kofola is WAY better than coke, its made of herbs and kofo, which is a syrup made from coffee waste and it gives kofola its original and amazing taste.
And whats more interesting, it never was aimed to be "version of coke" or anything else. I realy dont like when even slovak and czech people are saying that kofola is kind of our version of coke or copy or so.
@@roman45678 NEITHER DO I!! i love kofola for what it is, and as you said, it was NEVER ever meant to be a sort of slovak coke, or a coke replacement or anything. it is its own standalone drink and its bloody delicious and super specific!
I'm watching this in 2022, but watching this makes me so happy! My whole family is from Slovakia, not Bratislava, but from places near by, and I eat literally all of these food! Sauerkraut soup is my favorite food in the whole world. Also, buy this milky thing called Kefier next time you taste potato pancakes, makes it SO much better.😍😁😍😁😍🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰

It makes me so happy to hear as I I actually from slovakia and I have to say, whilst being based it is the best country, we may not have money but we have love, traditions and care

I actually went to zanzibar last week and i tried the nutella zanzibar pizza!! and I also am about to start editing my first ever travel vlog from that trip. so massive THANK YOU for inspiring me and also helping me to get through a rough time !! lots of love from the UK!!
You guys have been everywhere! Just booked a long weekend here with my friends for next month and start looking up videos and the first one I see is you guys! Great video again That fried Gouda looked soooo good
Food tours are definitely the best and it is the best way to learn about a culture. I have never even heard of Bratislava, but definitely a beautiful place. Great that you guys choose the non traditional places tourist goes to see.
@@bobberes7155 wow talk about petty. I'm giving a compliment to the culture and the cuisine. You are a disgrace to that Culture by calling someone out over something like that. There would have been an appropriate way to mention that to me and I would have taken that as knowledge that I needed but instead I'm absolutely disgusted and completely baffled that a complete stranger thinks that I was being disrespectful. I have some Choice words for you but I'm actually going to be respectful compared to your stupid ass comment.
Ha ha! Kara’s shock at the chicken liver pate made me laugh. I’m pretty sure that the Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) that you lived on in Hanoi would have had pate in them! I’ve recently discovered your vlogs and am loving watching them from the beginning!
I'm part Slovakian and my dad is part Slovakian and I always wondered why he cooks the stuff he cooks, and now I know why!!! He makes a lot of this kind of food
Oh man, I've been waiting for this. I lived in Bratislava for 2 years from 1996-1998 and you really took me back with this! Omg vyprazany syr (the fried cheese)!!! I don't remember that zmrzlina shop (ice cream) but I didn't take any official tours, we just found our way wherever haha

My mum always cook for me when I come for visit. 😍 I would recommend to you to come back and visit mountains and castles. Although I been living in London for past 15 years I still believe that Slovakia is one of the most picturesque countries of middle Europe

Awesome food tour you two 🤗 very delightful it looks like, just wishing I was eating with you all there at the tables, good nite😪 going to sleep now, I'll eat the left overs in the mornings. 😄🍴always👍👍💟😴
Great video you guys. The soup was funny. My ex mother in law (German) used to get mad at me because I wasn't a fan of soup, especially when warm outside. But it is like a European thing, they think it warms the inside especially when somebody is working outside in the cool European weather.
I watched several food tours here and this one was THE BEST! Really bice vlog, nicely covered everything. Great advertisement for other tourists to come visit Slovakia.
Please visit Kosice very nice town in the east of Slovakia. You can also take the night train to Prague and visit that as well, if you havent done it yet.
love it when you go to places I have been. You have to try Kofola while you are there. Its like their version of cola and try and find the blue church!
