@@VLADDfpsOld Prestige was invalidated by DLC weapons because there's absolutely zero point in resetting everything when you already have access to guns that are better than the base game guns off rip when you reset. Only game that had a good prestige system was IW with the classic weapons. I swear nostalgia is a harder drug than black tar heroin to these fools.
I think the reason Activision decided to make MWIII a full fledged game as opposed to just a DLC is because with what Sledgehammer wanted to do they had to make it its own game. My theory is that Sledghammer wanted to make sweeping changes to the game's design that just wouldn't be possible if it were just a DLC. Things like a traditional perk system for example, something that I feel is almost guaranteed at this point with how negatively received MWII's perk system was, as well as redesigned UI, because the UI was another aspect of the game that was negatively received. Those 2 changes alone would be drastic enough that it would be easier for them to just develop MWIII as a new game rather than try to completely reprogram 2 core elements of the game for a DLC.
the perk system will still be the same, but the perks will be in the form of gear like boots or a vest. the leaks have shown that the ui looks the exact same. its just gonna be mw2 2.0
@orrgroup9928 The gear system looks looks to be essentially just a classic perk system, but with 4 perks instead of 3. That is completely different from MWII. MWII has 2 base perks and 2 perks that you unlock over the course of a match. MWIII's gear leaks suggest that it will essentially be a classic perk slot system, with each gear slot having its own selection of perks, but instead of 3 slots, we will get 4. Nowhere in the leaks does it say that you will unlock the perks over the course of a match.
I hate being part of the COD cycle as well, but I'll be honest--MWIII looks like it's what I hoped MWII would be, and I may consider buying it. I haven't been the biggest fan of MWII, but I still play it pretty consistently (especially now that party modes are in the quick play filter, I love Infected). If SHG can give us DS/Ninja as a perk, give us a traditional minimap, speed up the movement slightly, and deliver a solid overall MP experience, I'll probably buy it at some point (not at launch). IW, as you mentioned, really are the fun police--they try too hard to make the game "realistic" and rarely listen to the community regarding changes we'd like to see. I've personally never bought a SHG COD, but IF they can deliver and make a better version of MW than IW, this could very well be my first.
it surprises me how people are so loyal to brands. Like there are thousands of masterpiece games, why even bother with a game that is mediocre/you know you'll end up hating eventually.
I wonder that exactly too my friend, people keep making excuses like it's for nostalgia or hey they're finally listening to the fan base or I want the classic arcade style back, then they keep half assing it over and over again cod doesn't benefit the players anymore only the shareholders and Activision
All they need to do is bring back prestige mode, map voting, stay in the same lobbies, get rid of the season format, its not fortnite, stick to map packs like the past, map packs used to be 20$ an operator bundle is 20$ nowadays which is insane, bo2 weapon camos were like 3$ for a pack of them
grinding for camos is one of the most sought-after experiences of multiplayer.. keeping all of the progression of our camos would hinder the feeling of having a goal or challenge to complete.. we need new camos and a new final skin or i fear it will kill the multiplayer experience.
@@BargSlarg Atleast on steam it TOOK around 6 months for a sale, now at the end of it's life cycle it finally only costs like 40€. Good that I didn't buy it

Who would have thought, run jump gun, that's not a game, most times it was a slaughter house! nothing tactical about it, but, brain dead kids liked it, didn't need to use tactics or skill, a good jump, run, and gun pattern! 🤨

Yeah, I agree. Activision gets away with half the stuff they have simply because Call of Duty fanboys like this keep giving them these record-breaking profits. 70 dollars for the game itself, another 40 for a battlepass mostly filled with little cosmetics nobody cares about, and another 20 for all the skin packs that people actually do care about. And that's just modern CoD. Before, we've had 60 dollar games with 40 dollar season passes, and little 5 dollar skin packs. And maybe an entire lootbox gambling mechanic sometimes. Fanboys are gonna fanboy. Don't fall for the hype, and you'll be (literally) richer for it.
@thatguy1080 Absolutely. I stopped being a fanboy years ago because the games lost their ways. And I *highly* doubt Sledgehammer is going to produce a good game since their previous history shows me they continue to produce crap each and every time. I enjoyed AW for what it was worth, but that's because I was enjoying the movement system. However as a cod game, it wasn't good. They failed with WW2 and they failed with Vanguard. They're gonna fail with MW3

fucking hell, do they want us to buy any AAA games anymore? it used to be 30 for any new titles, when you actually could afford to get the new one each year, and multiple AAA titles each year, this shit is absurd
Why is having Sledgehammer studios as the lead devs for Modern Warfare 3 a good thing? Sledgehammer is the most dissapointing of the 3 CoD studios, they made WW2 and I have not forgiven them for that fucking disgusting travasty.
I think you're hyping yourself up for nothing. If the game was so small it was going to an add-on then its probably using MW2.2s mechanics and stuff already as thats what they made it for originally
