Hi, I understand your thinking. I took a 31.8 bolt on stem put i just below the handlebar post facing me. Put long aluminum bars in it & transfered everything to the bars. Use a short straight tube for my stuff.
Love it! So the only two things needed are the stem and handlebar? I found one from a brand KHE aluminium stem 1 1/8 toploader 50mm - 10” handlebars. Would you think these two fit together? Thank you in advance
yeah it should. and yeah for the engine pro model you do not need the extension tube. you can put the stem directly onto the forks as they extend past the top tube of the frame. so just get a stem and handlebars :)
Fresnans have to wait for e-bike purchase help as California rollout ... said the delay was due to the search for a program administrator. Saw it while searching about news
Quick question... the link you provide to the stem riser adapter has two different size options for the diameter of the thinner/bottom portion of the riser adapter (apparently called the "steerer tube" diameter)... 22.2mm or 25.4mm . Which of these diameters do we need for the Engine Pro? Thanks ahead of time!!
That little silver piece that sticks out how do you tighten that up so the doesn't move a lot once I put the neck on it still moves and I don't want it to mess up the the front end
Yeah it didn't have that like I said so I'm going to cut the original one off from the bottom put that back on and then do everything that you showed on there with the stem and all that and looks like it's working like that I don't know why I wouldn't have that that's crazy
@@MrCentralDriver thanks for replying. Can you copy and paste a link to upgrade the engine pro with a bigger motor and Voltage here for me to see the cost. Thank you
@@MrCentralDriver Hi Thanks for the reply….could you leave it off for the stem to have a bit more fork steer tube to grab onto or does it have to be on…?..Thanks again…
Cool video man good to see you working on the engwe, i really wanna do this to mine get some blue handle bars. Start adding lots of color so I'm very noticeable on the street
Hi I know it’s been a while since you did this mod and you might not even still have the bike but you wouldn’t know the actual dimension from floor to handle bar grip with the 10inch bars on? Really interested in this mod just don’t want it to low. Cheers
do you think the 9 inch bmx handle bar will be comfortable to me? im 6 foot 4 long arms. Im thinking about if its not too low the bmx handle bar for me
These style of ebikes look great with BMX bars, they actually kinda look like BMX bikes and less like ebikes with those handlebars, blends more with other cyclists.
I saw a video on how to do this on a ep2-pro which has to use that stem extender and doesn’t have that piece on the inside. Was learning as I go. Engine pro bike is different. If you do want the bars higher on the engine pro you still have to remove that fork nut
@@MrCentralDriver a stem extender does fit it slides over the small stem on the engine pro and you use the long middle bolt and the two clamp bolts it fits straight on I’ve got the engine pro with bmx handle bars and stem extender it fits perfect
Does anyone know if the Vitilan i7 Pro 2.0 has a exposed fork stem like the Engine Pro, or does it require a quill stem adapter to do the handlebar swap?
Mmmm BMX... That is all i have Right now is 21 inch Top tube FITBIKECO Series one complete. I love it, only ever had to lube it and keep it tight :) I am 50 though, so i want a Ebike just so expensive. It will happen someday it will happen. hehehehe
My bmx bars arrive in a couple days (to replace the child size they sent by mistake😂). Thinking about a wing nut or lever (light bike seats and wheels use) to lock the handlebars in position, but still allow them to fold down for under the truck bed cover travel. Anyone try anything like this or have an idea if this is feasible? Only started thinking about it an hour ago.
LPT: Use segments of old bike tubes to create rubber spacers for accessories that don't fit your bars.
That bike looks so much better!👍💯Now you can upgrade it some⚡🤘⚡Brilliant vid Jon!!
Great vid. I had the same issue and did everything you did 😂. The outcome was super satisfying.
haha it happens

I think it looks much better my buddy has that some bike I'm going to show him this video. Thanks ride safe buddy.
Great vid. How in the heck do you remove the throttle from the og handlebar??? All the other bits are simple
Put steering tube spacers on it and it will look fine a bit higher up
Even with spacers I think it would look ugly lol

I think it’s up to 30% and it’s gonna depend on your income. I wouldn’t qualify for it. 😮💨
@@MrCentralDriver oof
Dude you can use spacers to fill that gap up for you, so it looks very clean ok :0
I love how you Explain all of this :) Great Video
Hi,when you bolted the stem to the forks did you re fit the rubber ring that fits around the fork stem.Great job.
yes

25.4
@@MrCentralDriver Thank you kindly sir!

Tighten the main bolt on the top that compresses the headset into the frame. Then you tighten the headset
Um it look like I don't have dat but I'll look again cuz ya I know on a reg bike they have dat and thanks

When you add bmx handle bars can you still access the battery? Meaning can you fold it open to swap a second battery with bmx handle bars on the bike.
The handlebars don’t hit anything when folded.
@@MrCentralDriver thanks for replying. Can you copy and paste a link to upgrade the engine pro with a bigger motor and Voltage here for me to see the cost. Thank you
Clicked on your link for stem adapter but there are two sizes. What size should I get for ep 2 pro?
so what was the size? 22.2 or 25.4mm ??? :)
Are you still able to fold the handlebars down like stock ones?
no you need a turtleneck stem from davidbrandnew
Hi loving the videos….can I ask the part you removed at 2.35 in the video did you put it back on under the stem or did you leave it off..?…👍
yes i did. i put it back under
@@MrCentralDriver Hi Thanks for the reply….could you leave it off for the stem to have a bit more fork steer tube to grab onto or does it have to be on…?..Thanks again…
Great video.
What mirror did you use? Does it work also on the original configuration with the engwe bar?
the one in the video I believe is plastic but doesn't work as good as this one that i now use on all my bikes. amzn.to/3U6EJUX
try to reverse the stem so it pushes the bars toward the rider
Breaks my heart seeing that nice fiesta’s paint get damaged parked outside the CAR GARAGE 🤦🏻♂️. That being said, good bit of content. Thumb up.
Yeah bugs me too. The carbon is getting faded. The car is ceramic Coated but still
@@MrCentralDriver do you remember where you sourced the hood? I want one just like that. What did it cost you?

Watch tomorrow’s video. At night 😎

Great job. I'm thinking of doing something similar. How comfortable is the ride and saddle overall?
Im curious how hard it would be to mount a cafe racer style light on the bars, it wouldnt be hard to make a anchor case for a battery on the tail
do you think the 9 inch bmx handle bar will be comfortable to me? im 6 foot 4 long arms. Im thinking about if its not too low the bmx handle bar for me
I did 10 inch after all after this video

I have had problems with hydraulic brakes. Now buying new set of brakes which should be better
Humility in action. Was wondering why you were removing the fork nut for the headset. Nice Job👍🏾

It's a1-1/8" threadless Dummy No Quil, you need a STEERER TUBE EXTENSION. 🤦♂️NEWBY
So what do you need exactly to do this?@@petejackson3687
what size is the handlebar 8.5 or 9
9
is this work with c20 pro ?
I personally have not seen that bike so I can’t say
All you need is a stem extender you don’t need to hammer that part out
Stem extended won’t fit in the frame / fork tube on the engine pro. The ep2 pro doesn’t have that piece and can be installed without removing anything
@@MrCentralDriver a stem extender does fit it slides over the small stem on the engine pro and you use the long middle bolt and the two clamp bolts it fits straight on I’ve got the engine pro with bmx handle bars and stem extender it fits perfect
if you want to use the stem you bought you can buy stem spaces for your lady that will rais the bmx bars snd won't leave a gap 😅on

Update: for anyone with the same question The i7 has the same exposed fork stem that fits a 22.2 mm quill.
I was shouting at you through the screen you could add some spaces to the stem if you want 😅😢😂
I still think it would look ugly with the spacers.
@@MrCentralDriver true I wouldn't use spaces I was just thinking about your women 😊💙

It’s a game changer
U should of hit up david brand new
i didnt no him when making this video. we are good friends now but the bike is long gone!
I need bmx bars on mine, handlebars are too low...
I ended up going with 10inch but I haven’t received them yet or done a video on it
@@MrCentralDriver Hopefully you will get them soon, i been eyeballing some 9.6" ones \m/
what are the dimensions of this bmx handlebar?
links in the description for the handlebars. the website will tell you every spec

Must have in that kind of bikes 😉 I did it in my Bezior xf200, check it on my channel.
Cheers! 👊
use a top load BMX stem, not a front load
I need a. I'm from Bangladesh.
you need that extra stem just take off thise folding bars ans add the stem clamp😅😢😂
you won't notice a couple of spaces 😅
The worst thing you can do to that Engwe. Those BMX handlebars look well odd.
Would you like to give me for free please 🙏❤❤
