for /reply or /r just hit backspace
- Pressing the "insert" key from the warpgate to get instantly warped close to squad leader. Useful since you can redeploy to the warpgate instantly (no spawn delay) and then press insert right away and hope it puts you close enough (i think it only spawns you at the nearest allied base, so only useful if your SL is defending a base)
- /suicide to instantly die. It is not faster than redeploying, because after redeploying, the 10 seconds are removed from the spawn timer, BUT since you can always spawn at the warpgate instantly, it can be useful to do the above faster. or for comedic effects. it will count as a death, but you can get revived.
- You can get the "Custom Crosshair" overlay widget from the Windows Game Bar (Win+G), I personally like it because other overlays add some input lag to the game for me. you will have to click the "pin" icon and enable click-through with the mouse icon on the top right of the game bar
- in the UserOptions.ini, you can change the VehicleChatter line from 1 to 0, to remove the fake radio chatter noises you hear while in vehicles (especially on NSO)
- again, lower your mouse sensitivity!!!! if you have to move less than 25cm/10in to do a 360, your brain is simply going to have a very hard time building muscle memory, and slight parasitic movements (from just pressing mouse clicks) will have a bigger impact on your aim. lowering your sensitivity is hard to get used to at first, but it genuinely helps you in the future. get some room to move your mouse when you need big movements, make sure your chair is at a correct height to let your arm move freely, and improvements will show within weeks.
- in the vehicle and infantry terminals, you can select a class/vehicle with the F1-F12 keys, but also select a loadout with the number row. that way, you can make specific loadouts, and change them on the fly when you are close to a terminal and need to (going from a regular heavy to an anti-vehicle heavy, changing MAX weapons, swapping to your Avoidance/Sensor Shield loadout for a quick flank, etc)
- grenade bandolier, and the engineer's Demolition Pouch and Mine Carrier defense slots, purchase grenades/C4/mines when you resupply with those equipped. So, if you're full on nanites, you can for example equip Demolition Pouch to resupply two more C4, then go back to your regular loadout. That way, when you use your two C4 on your regular engineer, when you resupply, it will get you your C4s back from the ones it already got with the demolition pouch, and won't charge you for Nanites. useful if you often run low on Nanites, and want to be able to stock up on explosives when you are full, just in case. a bit time-consuming and annoying to think about, but might help some.
- /fp_fov followed with a number, to change the fov on the fly temporarily (until the next death). you can go up to 179, which makes things look really messed up. anything above 179 and the game will drop to 1fps until you slowly type the command to fix it, or restart the game. useful for content creation if you want to set your fov to a small number and hide the hud to zoom on something.

You can also bind the command /squad promoteme to something on your keyboard in the keybinding menu. Then you dont even have to type anything.
This keybinding used to be commonly used for ops back in the days when only the squad leader was allowed to put beacons. You could quickly rotate the lead to someone not on cooldown.
Someone already mentioned it but you can press backspace (by default) to reply to tells.
Another shortcut is to press ctrl+tab to switch between chat tabs.
Last tip is to type /help and it will return you a list of all the available commands you can use, you can maybe find one that you dont already know :)

So the thing you mentioned about Mouse Sens. Your mouse sens is dictated more than anything by the amount of room you have to move your mouse. Assuming you use zero forms of mouse accel/smoothing, pretty much the way most set it up (this can apply to literally any shooter game in existence) is that the sensitivity is set so that flicking your mouse from the center of your mouse pad/space to the right or left edge makes your character easily do a 180 turn. So for example, if you have less room to move your mouse that means you might need to set your sens higher in order to 180 with a small distance. Also, aimed and scoped sensitivity are different both from each other and normal look (hipfire) sens. Aimed sens is the aim-down-sights sensitivity for anything with a zoom of 1x, 2x, 3.4x and any default sight that isn't a scope. Scoped sens is for anything that has an aim-down-sights zoom of 4x or higher. You will have to give your aimed/scoped sens a higher value from your look sens if you want to also turn a 180 using the same amount of horrizontal space. This is personal prefference tho. Some people like that the aimed/scoped sens is slower cuz it helps them with distance shots since they have to have a slightly higher sens for say a small mousepad. I make my scoped/aimed sens match my hipfire cuz I do cqc a lot and I have a large mousepad so I have a low sens in general. Plus to me it just feels more consistent. And remember you can always make small adjustments after you establish this baseline to what feels more comfortable for you.
I noticed footage that contained the terrain bug, it might be good to mention how to fix it on the fly. Open graphics settings, Check and uncheck global render distance to clear the terrain bug. I'm convinced many people experience it but don't even understand how to complain about it
I personally like /voicejoin, it creates a custom voice channel within the planetside2 voip system. So for example platoon voice chat, squad voice chat, command voice, and proximity voice are all channels, if I did /voicejoin friends, it will create a seperate voice chat channel containing anyone who runs that command. so if you want a channel with just you're friends, or just your SLs or FTLs you can do that.

5:45 Not quite sure what you mean here. I don't think I've ever seen my monitor or windows reset to 60hz after a pc reset. That's with a few different monitors, gpus, and cables. Not sure what that's all about?

Mh, when are fps low? about 90 is slow? i guess for Try hard fps gamer its a jpg show:D set all to 144h, thats bad Monitor cant run more than 120 in almost 4k. 5120x14440P.
You're wrong about higher sensitivity. Been playing Planetside 2 for 9-10 years and just increased it to 2100 (in-game) so I could 180 in 5". Have never played as well the way my movement and shooting are now because until now I always lowered my sensitivity. Never going back. I have always been a wrist guy as opposed to an arm, or shoulder mouse control player. Some pro-CS-GO players use very high sensitivities. If you can't land your flicks, you're forced to play slower. High DPI + lower mouse sensitivity, is the key to faster accuracy, I read on that pro, e-gaming youtube channel. The name escapes me ATM.

I’ve never understood why people brag about ridiculously high FPS. Like 100-300 or something stupid. The human eye can only really register around 60 FPS max anyways. Anything higher is just unnecessary tax in your system.

@@ZealousVidya Im sure there is a slight noticeable difference but personally I don’t see how it is worth it. Playing on console and PC I don’t really see that advantage of the increase stress for a few more noticeable frames but that is my personal opinion. To each his own I guess, I just wish console would get some love or at least the faction 2v1 stop.
Im on a Samsung G7 240hz, and i can definately see and feel the difference when playing games at a minimum of 240fps.
I would assume your on a 60hz monitor, and then still getting 100-300 fps in games ? which is not the same experience.
as your still only seeing 60 frames, and the additional 240 fps u may had is skipped,
the only thing good about having 100-300 fps on a 60hz monitor is the reduction in latency
Wether or not this experience justifies the price, is subjective ...
Has it made me a better player? in my case . no but everything does looks and feels smoother
I've heard that for years but it just doesn't seem to be the case in reality. Linus Tech tips and others tested this and all points to it mattering up to about 250 fps.

You're enjoying the worst BF ever? I've tried so hard to have fun with that game as I adore BF, but there are so many bad decisions made with that game. At least I waited till it was half price. And at least they've replaced people at the top of that franchise so hopefully it gets back on track.
