This guy is living my dream, i've always wished to visit war torn lands, (No man's land, Normandy beach, places like that) and find these kinds of items, really glad to see atleast someone is able to their dream.
The only original WW2 thing I have is a ammo box and WW2 coins and a picture of my great grandpa fixing a cousair I have lots of knowledge about WW2 but not that much that stuff
Its also sad that every ww2 soldier was declared a nazi by others, nazis where the guys that where in the NSDAP Organisation, or SS and that stuff, the normal Whermacht where mostly people fighting for their land after lies got telled in schools and stuff.
@Ayomane But some muslins in Iraq and Iran are national-socialists, like the SUMKA group. And also, some muslins from Iraq went to 1933 Germany because they were part of aryan race (same as some indians).
Great collection, thank you, sir, for the tour!! Seems to me you cherish the history & story behind your nostalgic items - as you said, everything has a story behind it in your room - as some pieces in the collection are war-torn, weathered, and even somewhat destroyed. Yet, that captures the history, the realism, and helps convey a big part of the object's story; I like this quality about your museum, I really do. This makes your collection different from some other collectors who, from what I've seen anyways, may shy away from showing items in less than "good" condition! With items like your destroyed gun - your Carbine or K98K? - I think that was the piece, the appearance grabs a big part of the story along with a piece of the war and history itself in what the antique survived. It's like an old coin though the coin is much more sublime with what it reveals in the open. I'm sure you have held an old coin in your hand and have just had your imagination take off with an imagined myriad of places it has travelled, events it has been near, and with all the various people who have previously held it! And its condition may reveal little more than an old date and a small degree of wear. Yet, in your collection, some items - like the aforementioned gun that is bent and destroyed - can really speak to you! And I believe you said you found it yourself?? If I remember that correctly, that's even more cool!! I would never stop staring at that piece, asking myself questions about it and allowing my mind to run wild! I really love some of the photos, the coins and money, and the table with various vintage postcards strewn all across it. I'd love to hear about a couple of the individual stories attached to them in some future video(s)!!! I love your respect for the men, stories, and items of the eras featured in your museum, sir, and wish you the best with your interest, love, and hobby of collecting!!! I am into WW2 stuff too. Very cool. I want to go visit Europe for two weeks and start at Normandy and work my way east to Berlin looking at all the WW2 Sites.....that is def in my bucket list. Man would that be cool

My grandfather served in ww2 as a tail gunner in a b24. While he traveled around Europe and Africa, he would buy stuff and we keep his collection of souvenirs in our living room.

I'm starting WW2 Reenactment here in Scotland as the Wermacht. My Grandfather was conscripted and became a prisoner of war 1 month after D-Day, he surrendered willingly because in his own words "Giving my life to a regime I don't believe in is pointless." He spent the remainder of the war in Cultybraggan Camp 21 as a POW. He met my grandmother upon release and stayed here rather than going back to Germany. He's 101 and still as sharp as ever.
That is an awesome collection. How could anyone refer to the weapons as junk? That's crazy! They are important artifacts! I'd like to see the new helmet when you get it (when you get through working your three jobs to pay for it, hahaha.) Great video, Nick, thanks for sharing with us. I did not even know deactivated ammo and guns existed! Very interesting and beautiful. German weapons were excellent. I live in America, so I am used to being able to walk down the street and buy an AK-47 with 500 rounds of ammo no questioned asked in 30 minutes haha.

@@theweasel144 im 13, and i get these items fairly easily if i have the money. If you have enough money, and prepaid visa card, then you can make an ebay account and buy things through ebay. If you do this, you have to know what you're doing or else its easy to misunderstand what an item is.

Seems to me you cherish the history & story behind your nostalgic items - as you said, everything has a story behind it in your room - as some pieces in the collection are war-torn, weathered, and even somewhat destroyed. Yet, that captures the history, the realism, and helps convey a big part of the object's story; I like this quality about your museum, I really do. This makes your collection different from some other collectors who, from what I've seen anyways, may shy away from showing items in less than "good" condition! With items like your destroyed gun - your Carbine or K98K? - I think that was the piece, the appearance grabs a big part of the story along with a piece of the war and history itself in what the antique survived. It's like an old coin though the coin is much more sublime with what it reveals in the open. I'm sure you have held an old coin in your hand and have just had your imagination take off with an imagined myriad of places it has travelled, events it has been near, and with all the various people who have previously held it! And its condition may reveal little more than an old date and a small degree of wear.
Yet, in your collection, some items - like the aforementioned gun that is bent and destroyed - can really speak to you! And I believe you said you found it yourself?? If I remember that correctly, that's even more cool!! I would never stop staring at that piece, asking myself questions about it and allowing my mind to run wild!
I really love some of the photos, the coins and money, and the table with various vintage postcards strewn all across it. I'd love to hear about a couple of the individual stories attached to them in some future video(s)!!!

I'm starting WW2 Reenactment here in Scotland as the Wermacht. My Grandfather was conscripted and became a prisoner of war 1 month after D-Day, he surrendered willingly because in his own words "Giving my life to a regime I don't believe in is pointless." He spent the remainder of the war in Cultybraggan Camp 21 as a POW. He met my grandmother upon release and stayed here rather than going back to Germany. He's 101 and still as sharp as ever.
To own that flag alone would be illegal in germany.

I did not even know deactivated ammo and guns existed! Very interesting and beautiful. German weapons were excellent. I live in America, so I am used to being able to walk down the street and buy an AK-47 with 500 rounds of ammo no questioned asked in 30 minutes haha.
