Hi Nick. Thank you for the time and effort you put into creating content for us. If I remember rightly you showed the medic Wehrpaß before, but I would love to see the other one, along with the Soldbuch in a future video. Take care and thanks again. Will.
Again, i don't care how much it takes for you to explain every detail of the item, all i care is the story and the facts behind them, but i won't judge you for making brief explanations and making the video shorter. Best regards from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷❤️🇳🇱 -Alex
Broooo i was excited for the main room but then you rlly had to do me like that 😭even though ive watched all of the collection tours and most of it would be the same i still wanted to see what has changed! cant wait for the next Part!
Hey Nick, there's actually one more helmet type after the "m42", it's often referred to as "m45" but really it's a ventless "m42" with a simplified liner that does not have a liner band. The prototype that made what the "m56" ddr helmet what it was, is the B-2 helmet, during the battle of Berlin, the Infanterie division "Potsdam" from Wenck's 12th army and elements of an Infanterie schule were equiped with them in March-April 45. The B-2 helmet came with an m44 style liner and classic "m42" rivets and one authentic example is exposed in Dresden's "Militärhistorisches Museum der Bundeswehr".
Can't wait for Part 3! Thanks so much for taking the time to show us all of these great stuff! Don't worry, you don't talk too much - your explanations are great!
What a outstanding collection Nick. If I had to choose one private collection to look at, it would be yours. That SS m35 is just incredible beyond words.
Wow what a wonderful collection thanks for putting all of these historical pieces all in one place for us to marvel at. Thanks for sharing your great collection. Isn't history fascinating!
@History Secrets/Nick - No, you don't talk too much at all. You share the wonderful historical information about each item and that is very much appreciated, which is why you have 249,000 subscribers. :) I hope you have insurance on your collection? If some tragedy occurred, like a house fire or a thief, that would be a horrible loss. Considering the value of your collection, I seem to recall that you actually live in and have your collection in Manila, Philippines, correct? :) Question; I'm curious, do you speak three languages, Dutch, English and German I presume? Do you speak any other languages? Your command of the English language is excellent.
Hope all is well with you there. Great video and nice to see there is still someone treasure a history that was long forgotten. I personally enjoyed it. I'll never forget Combat!
The amount of knowledge and understanding you have about all these amazing pieces of history is admirable. I hope you take time in future videos to share more in depth details of some of these items. Looking forward to the next part.
Again that energy of deceased soldiers still attached to a specific item that was very important for him when he was alive (at least it looks like it) Yeah i know, people will laugh at me, but i have the same "problem" with one of my German items (i only collect(ed) German). When i watch a documentairy about WW2 and in the docu when authentic WW2 music is being played, i got the same chills an goose bumps. But not only that At this specific moment, a clearly also smell the textile of the uniforms mixed with a odor of leather, weapon oil and sigar smoke. And it's interesting to note that all my stuff is in another room. And i even don't have uniforms, weapon oil, leather (except the inside of the German helmet), or sigars. I mainly for the biggest part i have medals, decorations, belt buckeles, and some German helmets. One of my German helmet is in 100% condition (M42 no decals), orginal paint, has never been tempered with or restored. About 30 years ago i payed 400 guldens for that specific helmet (about 400 Euro's) So i don't expect people to believe me, but this is what happens from time to time. Especially when at docu's (for instance) the song "Ich brauche kein millionen" (I don't need millions) by " Marika Rökk 1939" or "Ich warte auf dich" (I'll will wait for you) from 1944 is being played. I just wanted to write about it, to some blow off steam, because it's has quite an impact on my life. I'm not being terrorised or something, but the idea that there is somekind of "presence" or energy, is kind uncomforting yet also exciting.
Oh wow that is something else looks like the owner of the stuff is stuck with you it’s what I feel with my original m1923 U.S. belt and my 1944 canteen and canteen cup from 1945 I feel like I have something with it not like I’m not being haunted like you but like the people who owned it is watching me. Looks like the owner of it likes those songs
I’ve effected a policy of having particular items blessed. Roman Catholic holy water should suffice (obtainable from a font in that particular creeds’ churches). You can do this yourself and propitiate Christ to remove any negative attachments. If things persist or get “worse” I’d recommend getting them blessed by a Priest. I completely believe what you’ve experienced. The only thing that sounds particularly problematic is the smell of smoke. I’ve read this can have demonic connotations. I’m not trying to proselytise or worry you brother - just felt compelled to write this. God Bless!
As a child, I'm interested in WWII. I'm Dutch, and my great-grandfather meets my German great-grandmother in Germany when he was forced to work in Germany. I'm 30 now and still have great interest. Beautiful collection🙌🏼.
Wouldn't be surprised if one of the soldiers was attached to an item in your collection and followed you home. Its probably just a harmless spirt though
I enjoyed going around and seeing the things you own. You can be proud of your collection because it is really good, excellent in fact. Let me just add that I see that you know the subject matter or the history of the subject, which is of course a big plus....
Absolutely Amazing! And I thought that my WW 2 Militaria Collection was impressive. Like this guy, I am very particular & protective, when it comes to my military collectibles. No one is allowed in my collectibles room, with very few exceptions. This man has a very nice WW 2 Military Collection & that is what makes history come alive, honoring those who fought & died in their allegiance to their country.
hey nick, massive fan, like huge. you've inspired me so much! I love your video's. you've inspired me to start collecting, i am a massive fan, keep up the amazing content. Don't stop!❤
I always love seeing war memorabilia, even though the history behind them is bad, I just can’t help but see how preserved these pieces are are and how brand new looking they look, it shows that you take very very good care of them
The reason I watch your videos is because I just wanted to learn not just about the gear used by the Germans during World War 2, but also the mistakes that they made so that I won’t misconcept them as “anti-Semitic Jew murderers”. Because I have already realized that not all Germans are like that, but the innocent citizens of the country were just manipulated and demanded by a tyrannical dictator as an act of toxic ideology. Once the tyrant was dead, the Germans finally got rid of the memories of their dark side. Now I felt so satisfied that you, in the Netherlands, had the pieces of the old German memories from that era. Keep up the good work, pal. May god bless you very much.
Fairy tale nonsense. They ended usury and created an economic system that didn't depend on sucking the blood of the workers. For that mistake wall Street and the city of London raised an army of mercenaries to crush them. Germany did not start the war. Read the national socialist National geographic issue. While all of Europe and America was being starved to death in the millions in the manufactures great depression, Germany was thriving in as the strongest safest economy and country in the world with their beautiful new national socilaism. All by ending usury. Want to talk about horror... Go read about the allied atrocity "civilian bombings"... Read about dresden. Read the book "Germany must perish".
All for daring to move beyond capitalism and dialectic materialism. The Norway and Sweden are using hitlers economic model to this day called "the Nordic model" despite being copied and pasted from national socialism
