I've been using salt in my bait since 96. people used to say that carp don't eat salt. My answer was simply you wouldn't put sugar on your fish and chips?. everything that lives consumes salt at some time or another it is a necessity that every living thing need at some time or another . Being a natural preserver and enhancer a cleaner that can save your life as well as kill it if overdone. at the time my bait turned every lake we finished with it on its head then a couple of years later late 90s mainline let it out the bag that some of their baits contained salt and it went a bit stupid people started too spod it out in kilos. I'm sure some lakes became very salty that's how much anglers were Spoding salt . people thought there was on a new thing like it never been used before lol .Terry certainly knows his stuff a quality bait
ive been using salt and no fresh eggs for 18 years
Most food has natural salt and sugar in .we were using it years ago and your correct what your saying.If you come up with an idea don't mention it to anyone in mainline.

Funny thing is that the Himalayan pink salt isn't even extracted from the Himalayan mountains, but about 180 miles away, from a region of Pakistan.
Terry does this harden the boilees up more than normal
If you make your own baits you can use blood plasma or whey gel 80 hardens and binds great.Pink salt is good .If you use salt it's great for preserving them.
@@lewisthacker583 True M8.Whey gel 80 or the blood plasma Is great I should have said for the hard hookbaits and natural ingredients too.If I was using shelf life baits I would use the pink Himalayan salt and yes it does harden , some times im not the best at explaining myself especially not talking face to face ,sorry about that mate I've actually been carping over 40 years and general course fishing longer like I said im not the best explaining myself sometimes .
Terry how long do you believe the baits will last in the bag before they go mouldy please bud?
Assuming you keep them cool and give them a good shake every now and again to ensure all the baits have a good covering of salt they should last at least 12 months!

Reduce prices dramatically, that way you will be the number 1 brand then up the price years down the line , feel like yous have gone flat out £15 for 1kg of boilies …
