The salt itself is only part of it so if you use plain Sea Salt you're missing a trick! Use Himalayan Rock Salt its full of all the natural minerals the Carp are looking for. Easiest way to get it is in the form of a Horse Lick from Farm / Equestrian suppliers, horses want the minerals in the same way.

Would be better to leave that for 24hrs. Give the salt chance to pull into the bait and pellets. The hookbaits too

& then throw it into a lake with millions of gallons of water, be gone on seconds.. pointless

Not if it's placed correctly and tbf a carps sense of smell and taste is better than we think. Only pointless if you don't try it

Sat Nav Gav ... having salt in your bag/spod mixes is one thing but sprinkling course salt on your hook bait has you cast out I can assure you is pointless, it’s alright testing it in 6 inches of water in the tank, but we don’t fish in 6 inches of water, that salt is never seeing the lake bed, ever...
