I was there with my Wife. Oh what a show. First when Dave left a lot of people actually left. But Taylor said he was going to give us some songs and he took over the whole show. That part with Taylor was also so good with all the covers he gave us. And well, when Dave later came back we was so pleased to actually get the whole legendary show :) The guy next to us actually left before Taylor continued the show.. and later when Dace came back and all the guy actually came back when he heard the show had continued :)
This is a legendary show now for the Foo Fighters. But if I was in this audience and Dave fell after the SECOND song I think I would've been depressed. At first! Of course he came back out and rocked the show like normal, but at first I bet everyone was scared the concert was over.
It was horrible, it was depressing. I thought the show was over but that feeling when Dave comes back out on the stretcher...nothing will ever beat that!! This show even beats the wembley show back in 08. Believe it or not but this show was beyond words.
Did he trip on a loose cable? At 5:09 and on, I can see a big loose slack length of cable between the floor monitors. At 5:58, after Dave trips, the cable loop is in a different position. :(
I can't believe you stop zooming right before the accident lol it's definitely something I'd do as well hahaha Was he going to jump or did he trip on those cables?
I know this, but he did not slightly stumble ON the stage, he fallen AT THE BOTTOM OF the scene, some lower feet down. We are very far from 2 seconds .... 1:23 minutes before they stop completly to play ....so, I think that it was rather obvious that there was a problem...this is why i say this. (sorry for my bad english, i speak french and i use google translate ;-) )
@@debbieg5002 Nate, Chris and Pat all checked on him immediately, knowing how Dave is, I imagine he gave them the signal to keep playing for the time being. After that, their body language reads as pretty shaken until it becomes obvious they won't be continuing, at which point Taylor and Pat pretty much ran off the stage to check on him.
I’m here after reading this section in his book!
Same here. Although I just listened to this on the audiobook.
X2
Me too! 😂
Same 😂
even if he wanted to this couldnt had been covered up
I just read this story in Dave’s book. It’s cool to actually see the footage of this story. #theshowmustgoON

I love that Taylor ran and jumped down right away to check on his bro!!saw Foos on this tour here in Vancouver Canada!!
Irony is falling off a stage when singing "Monkey Wrench", only the Foo's could have done such a spectacular job and keep going!
I was at this show, so happy for that! "Best show we've ever had" - Dave Grohl
Thank God you kept recording! Fascinating stuff.
***** Thanks!

ringodingo Good eyes man. I do believe you are right about Dave tripping on those cables.
Damn, well if they noticed it then that cable manager/technician would have been fired
Yup, he did. There should've been a cover for the cables

You can
