    In this Minecraft 1.18 Redstone Tutorial I show you how to make a 2x2 Flush piston door. This is the latest in my series of Simple Redstone Tutorials to help beginners do things with redstone. This Minecraft 2x2 Flush Piston Door. can also be known as a Jeb Door.
    This Simple Minecraft 2x2 Flush Piston Door 1.19 is tested in the latest Minecraft 1.19 update.
    For this you will need:
    4 Repeaters (maybe 1 extra as well)
    some Redstone
    12 Sticky Pistons
    1 Lever
    5 Redstone Torches
    Pink wool (to look pro)
    Blocks of choice
    Piston doors are my absolute favourite thing to do in Minecraft. I love making them, I love designing them. That is why this Flush 2x2 Piston door is one of my favourites to build in my worlds.
    As I always like making hidden things in Minecraft this can be used to hide your base away, no one will know it's there!!
    I like to make a simple Minecraft redstone tutorial that is easy to follow and works in the latest update. For more complicated designs and weird and wonderful things I recommend you check out ‪@ThatMumboJumbo‬ and his channel full of cool redstone things.

    when you said redstone can seem terrifying but can be pretty simple, I thought ok let me try this by myself first.
    I started by sticking levers directly to pistons to see which pistons need to be on/ off when, and understood that the side pistons need inverted signals, with a bit of delay compared to center pistons.
    It pretty much worked at this point but I noticed the funny thing where one side was coming out & going back with some delay, then realized the repeater from the signal from one side to another was adding 1 tick to the signal, leading me to decrease one tick from the farther side.
    came back to video & saw that I made pretty much the exact same thing! but feels so satisfying to figure it out yourself.
    thanks a lot

    This piston door is more complicated than it needs to be.
    you can make it much more simple by just covering the pistons on the top with redstone and then connecting them with repeaters and more redstone.

    Having a bit of trouble with this, when the lever is flipped, the torches on the right don't get turned off so only half the door opens. I've checked and re checked multiple times and I built it exactly as you showed. Is there something extra I need to do to connect the repeaters on the right to the circuit so they shut the torches off? I am trying to hide the redstone underground like you did at the end but you were very light on details there so I'm having difficulty understanding where I went wrong.

    • @Sassyfish
      @Sassyfish  3 роки тому +8

      I have another video on this that I may show more info, check out my channel. If the red stones connected you may need an extra repeater if it’s not reaching? Also if you do add an extra repeater you may have to change the ticks on the ones you have

      This ended up being my mistake and I fixed it. The repeaters on the right side weren't connected to the circuit because I had placed a block above where the redstone "stepped up" and it cut off the circuit. I had to run it a bit further out to the right and wind back once I was past another wall on the right so it stayed hidden, and then added one more repeater and all is working beautifully. Thanks for the tutorial.

    I DON"T KNOW MY VERSION ALL I KNOW ITS BROKEN
    Edit: I fixed it, you have to on the right side (the one with out the pink stairs) make it go under ground one block to the left, (away from the wall off of the redstone coming off the repeater.) turn towards the pink stairs and go one block down, place a redstone dust, then on block forward place a repeater, a block, then on the other side place a redstone torch then infront of it place dust, then drop down on block and place a dust then break one block infront place another dust, and to the left (underneath the bottom pistion make it be TWO blocks apart underneath) place a sticky piston on both sides underneath the non-working pistons. then place a redstone block on the pistons.

    The bottom pistons pushing forward to make the door flush aren’t firing for me no matter how many times I try and change up the way you’re doing it

    • @Sassyfish
      @Sassyfish  2 роки тому +1

      It's possible to hide it, I would put it under a moss carpet. Less obvious.

    Im on bedrock, how to make bottom pistons work?

    • @Sassyfish
      @Sassyfish  3 роки тому

      Hiya! I have designed a couple of these doors on bedrock. You basically need to repeat what I have done above, but below. I'll be releasing a video on a couple of designs for this soon.

    The bottom two pistons wont extend into the flush door when the top two get the signal... so its not working. But im wondering why would they? they arent connected to redstone. actually i dont understand why it IS working in the video... is this a java/bedrock thing?

      @@paytonjosewsk4339 nah i checked its actually an issue on bedrock. Bedrock doesnt have quasiconnectivity which allows two pistons in a column to be powered from one source. Just look up bedrock compatible jeb doors and ull get something
