James, I am a mid-handicapper and play the Kirkland as my gamer (TM Tour Response when I want to splurge). Testing the V2 and V3 on the course and with my Bushnell Launch Pro in the sim, I notice a slight drop in spin rates. The V3 also feels just slightly more firm, but still has a great feel. I am getting more run out with my driver and plenty of stopping power on the greens. It seems to be a perfect compliment for my game and a small, but welcomed, improvement over the V2. I have played about 15 rounds with the V3 to date. Thanks for the reviews and content!

I have been using the new version of the Kirkland ball for 2 months now. I am a 8.8 handicap and play 6 rounds a week. Love the ball it flies well of the tee and the response off the irons is very good. Ball spins well and has good feel off the putter. The biggest thing I have noticed is they seemed to have improved the cover durability. With the V2 I had a hard time getting more than 2 rounds before it was scuffed to the point where it was unplayable. The V3 I can regularly play the same ball for 3 or 4 rounds and it is still usable. Love playing against a ball snob who makes a joke about me not playing a premium ball and beating them and asking if they want to try a Kirkland.

If you play 1-2 times a week Kirkland is the way to go if you play more an have a good handicap go for ProV

Very little difference between V1 and V2. This V3 has very little feel and I'm not liking it. I will save the V3 for windy days.....where I think they will be better than V2.

Scientific fact: red dye makes the golfball perform 25% better in everyway.

You should have put a call out to your US viewers. I’m sure I could have bought them and shipped them to you for less than you payed. Haha in fact I bought some and I’m not in love with them. I just them to chip around the backyard now.

My problem with the older versions was they would scuff and tear after just a few holes...until they fix the weak cover they are not even worth the cheaper price since it takes 3 or 4 balls just to complete a round.

The new one is made in China and the old one might be made in Vietnam.

The logo just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve found many on the course and tried them. Not a bad ball. But the big kirkland logo just isn’t for me.

    I'll stick with my Penfold....

I always love the Kirkland content. I do play the Kirkland ball and love. The feature I love the most, is the ability to buy more rounds after a match. 😜

I’ve played both. V3 scuffs less but performs almost identically in all other aspects. When struck equally flush with driver or irons, V3 is more predictable and slightly longer. I’m guessing that’s because of slightly better (less) spin off driver and longer irons. Still the best value, semi-premium golf ball available.

Not a Kirkland player but used them in an outing, they were handed out. Good distance off the driver and good stopping power. Solid ball overall.

I bought two boxes, 4 dozen, when they marked them down to $19.98 a box. I have a few year supply of the V2, so when they run out I'll be switching to the V3. No rush for this high handicapper.

I played a sleeve of Kirkland balls today and shot my lowest 9 ever at 2 over. 3 bodies, 5 pars, and one birdie! I even generated back spin on the greens where I never done before. They were given to me and now am going to get a couple of dozen. Thanks for the review!

  • @LetsPlayThru

I’ll be happy to post you a few more boxes James. Great video, cheers 🍻

  • @williambarnett6976

Thanks for the presentation on the lower cost Kirkland Golf balls versus the premium (Pro Vs, Callaways) golf balls. The difference is price per dozen allows one to buy a beer from the cart ladies! Personally, I will keep buying the ProVs and skip the on course beers.

  • @robster230

MyGolfSpy drone on about these (v2) balls being "Too spinny" off the tee and terrible in high wind. Be good if you could see the spin numbers in the studio 👍👍 Edit: just seen you took them in at the end, interesting! great video James

I really enjoyed the feel of the Kirkland Signature. Short game, off the tee, I could live with it. For whatever reason - with mid to long irons...I was losing a club length with them (compared to the ProV1). Just my experience...but do love what Kirkland is doing here.
