Shout out to Brayden for being down for the challenge! Hopefully we see this guy on tour here soon. Make sure y'all get your Waggle gear as well, we worked hard to get a discount for you guys "DD10"! Leave a like if you enjoyed the video!
The fact Brayden said “not particularly” and not “fuck no” when asked if he was happy about his shot shows he has the right mentality for the big stage.
If you get too mad at bad shots it will ruin your mental focus on the round. Best to just move on feeling confident you will recover with a nice smooth swing.
I don't think you guys understand how handicaps actually work... It's your potential, not your average. A +5 is likely to shoot even to maybe -1 or -2 in your average round. He might shoot -5 or -6 once in 5 rounds you play with him. Still impressive. Stop expecting people to shoot their handicap in a random round.
I played as a plus handicap for years and you're absolutely correct. I always had to explain handicapping to people. Just add 3 strokes to your handicap and that gives you the average round. And slope also plays a factor when calculating handicapping, but I always tried to avoid going into details because it made things worse!...😂
A few years ago, I was a +2 and only had one score under par posted on my ghin, however the course rating from the tips was very high... so all my 73s and 74s were calculated as 3 and 2 under par rounds.
Absolutely hate handicap system. Shoot 9 79’s and have a round of 72 and you’re a 2. Cuz you had one great round. It also promotes the disgusting skill of sandbagging.
@@jdhrap Eh, they updated it so it's your best 8 rounds out of 20 I think. So, not as dramatic as it used to be in terms of shooting one good round and now you're a scratch. What other options you gonna have for sand baggers? They'll just straight up lie anyways.

I don't play anymore due to shoulder and knee injuries but when I was in my 30's/40's, I was a 4 handicap and I was at the range one day hitting balls and then was hoping to be able to get paired up or even go off by myself and I noticed a guy absolutely smoothing/smearing everything at the end of the range. I walked down and politely introduced myself and told him I thought he had a phenomenal swing. He replied that he had been watching me too and complimented me on my swing. I noticed his clubs were blades and looked them and they all had the club faces smashed in right at the center in a size of a gold ball...I said wow I have never seen that before and he said he played on the South African tour and was in Orlando for some mini tour events and he had a new set waiting for him back in S.A. We ended up playing 9 holes...when I asked his handicap he said he was a plus 4 but it depended on slope, that his home course where he was a +4 had a very high slope. He said on the public course we were going to play he would probably be closer to a +10...sure enough, from the tips he shot a 30 on the nine we played, and that was missing a couple eagle putts. I shot my typical 38
