Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels that this man is amazing. Dirk is seriously making me wanna just jam on my friends bass whenever I can. Love him to death. One of my favorite bass players.
I love Ben Kenney and his contributions, but damn, Dirk was vital to Incubus and their feel. Such an underrated and accomplished bass player with so much talent to give. Like almost every story, the battle of personalities seemed to be the cause and root of the break from the band. A real shame they couldn't find a way to continue to get along. There are some beautiful Ben Kenney Incubus songs out there - but it's hard not to wonder about what music the band would have made with Dirk still in it. Love both guys, but Dirk was made for Incubus!
Makes me so happy to see Dirk is still pumpin' out amazing bass lines, but it also kinda saddens me because this is what Incubus, one of my favorite bands of all time, is desperately missing.
He’s such an underrated brilliant Bassist… He made Incubus and he’s honest top tier all time for me. Him, Justin chancellor, P-Nut are my favorites all time and are all Warwick players go figure… ❤

Seems I'm not alone when I say Incubus died a little when THIS GUY left! Never been the same with Ben!! Also Dirk is looking a little like John Petrucci?
I'm dead serious. Ben is a good bass player, sure, but I prefer Dirk's style over his and I'd rather he were back in the band. That's my personal opinion on the matter, I you disagree that's cool, but I really don't need the snarky comments like "you can't be serious".
Dirk and Ryan should start a band with two bassists!!! Lots of bands have multiple singers, drummers, guitarists. Yet no bands with two bassists! And both are unofficially available ;)
I just want him to start slapping bass! I should really have more respect and interest in Dirk. I mean, the guy only played all of the bass on my favorite ablum ever.
Ben also offers so much more to the band. We never saw Dirk do backup vocals or anything like that. Ben contributes vocals in the studio, he does backup vocals during live shows, the dude can play drums & guitar, and he releases solo albums and tours with his own band! Even though he might have more of a "reigned in" style of playing when it comes to playing bass for Incubus, Ben tends to be much more prolific, yeah?
Hey, chill out dude. Not being snarky or anything. Just saying how both are great and, because of that, the band isn't desperately missing a bass player. Ben sure can't pull out some awesome lines created by Dirk. But, at the same time, Ben has put so much on this band, that makes me prefer his style over Dirk's.
The dude is such a natural. Incubus is not the same without him.
Incubus is POP music now... For teenagers

Dirk and Ryan from Mudvayne over his shoulder.
Well he did have the beard during the recording of Morning View back in mid-2001. Those were good times...

Bens not a bass player he's a guitar player playing bass
Its weird to see a warwick w a painted finish, or anythng other than natural woodgrain finish, and even more bizarre w a pickguard.
WOW...
Dude ryan!!!!!! Holy shit!!! It's funny because Ryan has a video of him playing that same bass
Is That Ryan Martine on the background? *______*
He actually left in 2003 during the recording of ACLOTM.
Sure is

i like Ben but Alex's tone is much better. Ben's bass is a lot of mid range.
@Rusty James Alex is much way colorful in adding music in rather than Ben but so sad
that Alex was departed from incubus
This man is a legend

You can't be serious... Sure, Dirk is awesome! But so is Ben. Totally different styles, but each awesome in their own.
