The more I use this bass the better it feels and sounds. Great passive tone from those powerful single-coil pickups. The whole bass feels organic and alive. It is almost active in tone and responsiveness without a pesky battery. The electronics are accessible in the back where one would normally put a battery but you can stash a few notes or a pack of Rizlas in there instead!

Every guitar maker should have reviews as helpful as these. Andy is an A+ player, and even though these feel a bit scripted, nothing replaces hearing how the instrument sounds when someone competent is holding it.

I have one of these. I've been a Fender Jazz player for decades so this Warwick really suits me as it combines elements of the Jazz tone with elements of the Warwick tone. Like a souped up Jazz and yet it is passive. Also the neck feels closer to a Jazz than it does to a Warwick. It's also much lighter than a Jazz and at my age (62) that matters. It's superbly built, looks modern and sexy. It's the best of both worlds....Warwick and Fender!

The contour is at the rear of the body. This is where it is needed on the CV 4. It isn't required on the front of the body because the body is much smaller than that on a Fender Jazz. The rear contour allows it to hug your waist or thigh or hip (depending on how low you wear your bass) and your arm just drops comfortably over the top. Also, the bass body is built from American Swamp Ash which is much lighter than a Fender Jazz body allowing me to be much more animated on stage without taking energy away from my playing. It is a beautiful passive instrument with a wider tonal range than a Jazz and really sounds like a Fender/Warwick hybrid.

Amigo asumo que si no se molestaron en mencionar la madera, seguro es la madera standard que se usa para instrumentos (lo que en EEUU llaman "basswood"), pero coloreada, Andy menciona que le ponen un tinte color tabaco, tal vez por eso no se ve fea.
