Paul McCartney in my opinion is one of the greatest song writers of the 20th century. A truly gifted artist who will go down in history along side the great composers. ❤

I really think that song influenced many bands from the 70's, including Queen. I could totally see Brian May playing the guitar solo in the end, and Freddie singing that melody going from romantic to heavy rock with strings. This is amazing.

As an 11 year old kid I couldn't wait for the next James Bond movie to come out and I remember this one above all because it was such a perfect movie for me at that age and because this is the best James Bond theme song ever. I remember it so vividly, watching the movie drinking a coke through a piece of red licorice that I decided to use as a straw because you know that's what 11 year old kids did back then.

I was on embarkation leave with my civvy mate Steve during July 73 in North Devon and this song was always on the jukebox at the Fairway Buoy in Westward Ho! It was buzzing there and we had a great time. The Fairway Buoy is still an attraction I’m glad to say.
