INGREDIENTS:
250ml milk
14g dried yeast
80g caster sugar
500g gluten free white bread flour
75g butter
1 tsp xanthan gum
1 tsp baking powder
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
FOR THE FILLING:
35g butter (melted)
150g light brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
FOR THE ICING:
200g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp boiling water
I use Allinson's Easy Bake Yeast (in UK supermarkets' baking aisles) or Dove's Farm Yeast (in the free from aisle).

My flour already comes with Xantham gum - do I still need to add Xantham gum per this instructions. Please advise thank you 🙏!

I followed this to the letter, even weighing out my ingredients but my dough isn’t sticky, fairly dry actually. I’m in America so maybe that’s it?

Your measurements are definitely off. I have the exact ingredients and I used almost an extra 1/3 more flour. And you did not mention the baking powder to mix with the flour in the beginning.this was not how it should be listed but I added what I needed and made it work. But the recipe here and on your website are not correct. It’s not enough GF flour

i tried following the same measurements- instead of being a dough it turned into a batter. plus you dont mention timings for cooking heat temperature etc. its not very helpful. i wasted almost a big bulk of batter trying to make it work.
She was under in her flour measurement. And she didn’t mention the baking powder so once you get your ingredients a by following her recipe, you have to add the baking powder with the GF flour and I added another cup of flour.
