I like this Video!, I have the Q3, and I'm on the fence as to if I want to add the Q3-43 with it, I'm not concerned about the price, but more about as to if it's actually noticeably better than the Q3. I'll be purchasing this camera from B&H to save a few dollars on the sales tax, which of course also means making sure to pay it off within 20 days to avoid interest payments.

Yes for me, the 43 is better, 35mm would have been good too. I do less cropping now, but there are times when I can’t get shot because I’m too close can’t back up. Also I don’t have anymore issues of wide angle distortion which is just natural with the 28mm, actually more of a 26mm … thanks for watching, I should do an update video
When I first got the 43 I took a couple of same subject shots with 43 & 28. I would say the 43, but nothing drasticlly. The 28mm is really nice sharp lens. Its more about what fits your shooting needs for a fixed lens camera.
Are you possibly using their default profile and hitting the function 2 button (the more shallow button near the thumb rest)? That pops you into video unless you create a custom profile and remap it.
I know of several q3 users with same problem. I am just experiencing spontaneous switch to video intermittently. very annoying since you dont know you are in video with results that are not acceptable.

The Helium Lab grip is pretty sweet, a bit deeper than the q2 one.

I have the function buttons changed on my Q3 43 & Q3 from stock setting and I have the touch screen turned off

No issues at all with going into video mode on Q3 43. I’m still on original firmware and I have touch screen off
