You must be really good at fishing. I went to a fishing spot that they put a piece of corn on the hook and as soon as it hits the water wamy! Fish on! All the kids were catching them. I tried but couldn't catch anything, they gave me my money back. I buy all the fancy lures and try using all the techniques and still nothing! I still go out but sometimes it would be nice to catch something other than mosquitoes and a sunburn! Ha ha
Eight weight? I’ve gotta eight I use for bass and northern. BBT weight forward line with ten pound test leader. When I’m targeting pike I tie a wire leader with it👍

The had Done a ton of river diversion here in Boute / Westwego Louisiana. Everyone was pissed and hurt. The fishing and crabing/ shrimping had slowed up a couple years but now it's good again. You can tell you know what you’re doing with that fly rod because the first time I tried it it was a backlash of a mess lol😂😂 dirty deeds are done dirt cheap.
When I saw both of those big shad, I was imagining using the whole thing on a bigger hook! The big catfish don't mess with smaller bait as much as the smaller ones but big bait in the water that's vulnerable will definitely catch! Good job anyway
